Hi! All
How to Trigger a Mail to a Vendor when the Stock level reached the Minimum Stock Level.
I have assigned the mail Id for a particular vendor in Vendor master. and assigned the Stock level in Material Master. what are the details need to be done to trigger a mail.

What the Vendor will do when the Stock level reached the Minimum Stock Level..?
You need to go for MRP, So that system will generate the Purchase Requistion Automatically when Stock level reaches the Minimum Stock Level..
and you can Convert the Purchase Requistion into Purchase Order ..and procure Material from that Vendor..

How to trigger GP email template

Hi,
I have created 2 Callable Objects(Requester and Approver)and using those two have created a GP process.
Now i need to trigger a GP email template so that when requester clicks on Submit button and the request is with Approver, mail ( which is written in GP email template) is sent to the approver.
I am using send mail code on click on Submit button in WD Requester Callabel Object.However not sure how to trigger mail template.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Two things are pre-requisite for sending the mails.
1) smtp.server should be configured
2) smtp.service_user_mail should be mentioned
You can configure the above settings in the Visual Admin-> caf/eu/gp/model
Also you need to create email templtes in Maintain E-Mail Templates section.
Creating CO is very straight forward. Use wizard to create the CO.
In set configuration section, specify the email template to be used. also specify the reciever where the mail should be sent.
If everything is configured successfully you can successfully send a mail.

How to trigger a mail once BG job finished.

Hi,
Could anyone please let me know how to trigger a mail once Background job finished. I let you give one scenario where exactly I require this concept. Say, I execute t.code MB52 with particular variants in background to find stuck qty(s) of material(s) in given site(s).Now I want that system will trigger a mail to concern team once job finished.

You can try using workflow transaction SBWP.
you need to create a distibution list in the above transaction and add the requested mail ids to it.
then when you create a jon using transaction SM37 you have the option SPOOL LIST RECIPIENT where you can add the created distibution list
so when ever the job has run sucessfully then a mail is sent to all the mail id's in the list.

Hi,
You need to maintain the email address in SU01 for the particular user Id. Also you need to configure transaction SCOT for this.

How to trigger the mail sent notification back to the sender

Hi Gurus,
At present in our system we are sending the PO through email to the vendor using std output type NEU. This is being done using the FM CONVERT_OTF_AND_MAIL, this functionality workes fine.
along with this mail the sender or the PO owner will get a mail to his outlook or any internet email address saying 'Your message was successfully relayed ' and that will be sent by the mail id Postmaster_at the rate of_ mail.relay-company.com.
Our requirement is to send the above success mail to the PO owner SAP inbox and not to the internet address.
basically we are not able to track how this success mail is geting triggered and also how or where the email address Postmaster-_at the rate of_mail.relay-company.com.is maintained.

   you can define a feature that sets the parameters for a
    mail to be sent when changes are made to an infotype record. In the
    standard system, this involves feature M0001. You can also specify a
    feature within this feature to determine possible recipients of the mail
    according to the control values in the organizational assignment.
Use
    Mail connection for master data infotype changes for employees and
    applicants.
Procedure
    The return matrix of the feature has the following structure: X-VVVVVVVV
    with the following meanings:
    o   X - Indicator 'M' for mail or 'V' for distribution lists
    o   VVVVVVVV - Valid mailing name or distribution list, which is stored
                   in a shared folder in SAPoffice (transaction so04).

BODS 3.1 : How to trigger an email alert for the jobs on BODS server ?

Hi All.
I have this request.
BODS 3.1 : How to trigger an email alert for the jobs on BODS server ?
We have jobs scheduled on BODS running smoothly and absolutely fine.
But to check, i am logging into the admin console and check for the jobs status.
I would like to have an email to be received from BODS after each job is finished.
It could succuessful. Or it could fail.
Whatsoever, i wish to receive an email alert as soon as a job is finished.
Can anyone advise me as to whether this could be made possible.
And if yes, how this could be done.

In BOE CMC / for webi / schedule / we find an option to send email for a job success or a job failure.
Is there any option similar to that in BODS ?
Also would like to know :
how to use the smtp_to or mail_to functions ?
how to set up the smtp server for this ?

Since am new to this BODS. I need some help.
I already have many jobs which are running absolutely fine.
And when a job runs, and finishes, am able to see the trace saying
e.g. :
Job_abc is completed successfully.
We got the smtp service activated for our test server.
and we hae a group email id.
I have put the details of the smtp server / ip address / and said apply restarted.
The i created a simple test script as below :
print (' Before email ' );
smtp_to('abc@company_name.com', 'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has FAILED',
' the job has failed', 0, 0);
print('After Email ');
It does send a email to as per smtp_to whatever email is specified.
But how to differentiate between a job success
And a job which has failed.
I wish to have a mail which says on the subject :
'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has completed successfully'
==> IF it is a success
OR
'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has failed'
==> if it has failed
How to make the system identify, whether
to send a success message or a error message whatever

This would typically be done through a scheduled task. Write your code to query for the departure date. If someone meets your criteria for an action to occur, you can either use the addProcessTaskInstance which has an adapter attached to it to send the email, or in your code, send the email.
The details that need to be considered though is where the departure date is stored. Is it on a process form, or is it on the user's OIM profile. Do you want to disable the user or revoke the object instance at this departure date? You could use the notification tab of these existing tasks if so.

Added custom date fields at contract;need to trigger mail using those dates

Hi,
II have added 14 custom fields in the service order quotation for handling waranty start date and end dates capturing for the maximum of 7 years contract.
Then its usual yearly action of the waranty team to put the dates in those fields.
The first set of 2 input fields will be filled at the quotation creation itself; rest the set of 12 fields will be updated in this 7 years time.
My requirement is such that to the capture all the waranty end dates filled in the input fields and trigger a mail 30 days prior to that days.
Example : I have contract from 01/08/2004 to 31/07/2010.
Then my waranty startdate / end date can be filled by waranty team as 01/08/2004 to 31/07/2005 in the waranty first year.the i need to trigger a mail to waranty team on 01/07/2005.
For the second year if we have dates filled as 01/08/2005 to 31/07/2006; then to trigger mail on 01/07/2006.
I have tried using ACTIONS but couldn't get much help.
As a work around thinking for a report to fetch the contract for that Trans.type and check the dates with the present date + 30 and collect those to perfrom the respective actions.This is workaround.
Tried using the DATE TYPES creating 7 different DATE TYPES and assigning the ( end dates - 30 ) to that manually upon save.
and using this DATE TYPE along with the action definition can we acheive ? but it too will be work around.
How to acheive this one. It became critical now in the project.

Hi,
In your scenario, you don't need synchronous email facility.
Probably you can create a z table and maintain all required dates in this table (before saving your transaction somewhere you would have to read your custom fields and save them in this table along with object ID/GUID). Then create a report that would read dates from z table and then send emails to your warranty team. Schedule this report in background with frequency of once day.

Trigger mail to dynamic Agents

My requirement is to trigger a email to user based on document type.
Lets say my doc. type is DOC1 then Approver will be USER1
DOC2 then Approver will be USER2.
and mail should be triggered to this agents dynamically based on document type.
I have created one z table and maintained this entries.
created one Rule .
If I pass my document type to rule, it fetches USER correctly.
Now how to use this Rule in work flow to trigger mail to fetched User ??
Please give me a step by step guide to do it.

There is concept of followup action in Usage decision code.Explre QS51 where against UD code there is followup action.
Where you can get facility to trigger the mail.
What you can do is ->In QCC3->Inspect lot completion>define followup action>here create a Z-function module & assign against the followup action......

Hi,
now i am getting alerts from Event Linkage.
Here i take the scenario Sales order change.
BOR object : BUS2032
Event : Changed
Receiver type : <my alert>
Receiver call : Function Module
Receiver Functiona Module : SALRT_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
Linkage is activated.
when a sales order is changed receiver function module triggering the alert which is defined in Receiver type. That i am getting in my alert inbox. Upto this.. it is cleared.
Now the scenario is.. about Alert Container
in alert container i take element is BOR Object type BUS2032.
the questions are..
1. Is it correct to defined BOR object here to get data when Sales order has been changed.
2. What are the properties i have to take in Properties tab?
3. How to use alert container parameters in short and long text?
Here my clear intention is when a sales order is changed.. i have to get the data related to that sales order and it has to show in Alert.
