How to trigger Outbound ABAP proxy from PI

Hi Guru's,
We have one scenario in which we want interface to be run at 5 minute interval in PI but it has to get data from R/3 via RFC or ABAP Proxy (No file interface). Is there any way to trigger PI interface to get data from R/3 and after mapping send it via AS2.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Gyaneshwar,
What Phani said is correct. Better you go with ABAP proxy, where you can validate the data with the condition, if fails you can raise an alert mail.
The code something looks like:
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_UTL_SENDMAIL'
        EXPORTING
          i_email       = gv_sender
          i_toemail     = ''
          i_subject     = gv_subject
        IMPORTING
          e_return_code = gv_subrc
        TABLES
          it_text       = git_text
          it_emails     = git_emails.
    ENDIF.
  ENDIF.
There is no option to do it from PI.
Thanks,

  • Can we edit SOAP Header for an Outbound ABAP Proxy message?

    Hi,
    Can we add some information such as dynamic configuration to the SOAP header for the outbound ABAP Proxy from ABAP report in SAP Application System?
    Regards,
    Praveen Gujjeti.

    Hi Praveen, have you found soulution for this? Can you share it with me?
    From here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/d6/49543b1e49bc1fe10000000a114084/content.htm
    The help described that:
    Set logging in the message header. This means that this message is logged even if logging is deactivated explicitly in the configuration. The logging information is part of the message header:
    ¡        <SAP:Logging>1</SAP:Logging>
    Activates logging explicitly.
    ¡        <SAP:Logging>0</SAP:Logging>
    Deactivates logging explicitly.
    So it means that we can edit SOAP header for outbound ABAP proxy. But i haven't find the correct method to do that.

  • Exception handling in outbound ABAP proxy

    Hi All,
    i need to catch exception in outbound abap proxy in two cases:
    1. if RFC dest in R3 which is pinging to XI goes down.
    2. IF xi server is down.
    in both the cases i need to catch the exceptions.
    now i written the code in this way:
    DATA: v_exceptions TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault.
    TRY.
    CALL METHOD zirco_o_msg_if_as_req_details=>execute_asynchronous
    EXPORTING
    output = s_reference.

    CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO v_exceptions.
    WRITE: 'Exception CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT caught'.
    WRITE: / v_exceptions->errortext.
    WRITE: / v_exceptions->code.
    but this code is not working.
    can anybody tell me how can i acheive this?

    Hi All,

  • User-exit/BADI during outbound ABAP proxy call

    Hello,
    I want to introduce certain check during outbound ABAP proxy calls to PI. This is a generic check, failure of which would stop the proxy call to proceed and raise an exception.
    I would like to place this at the generic place which is called for all the outbound ABAP proxy calls, rather than coding this in each and every outbound proxy class as the check is generic.
    Is there some user-exit/BADI where i can introduce this? Maybe within class CL_PROXY_OUTBOUND or somewhere else where i can introduce this check.
    Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Gajendra.

    Dear Gajendra ,
    i agree with sabrish, you must be having a z report on the application system that must be calling that outbound proxy...may be if the check is generic it may not be related to a proxy so you can code a FM and then call it before you call that proxy in the z report
    Giving points is another way to say thanks

  • Client Proxy : How to Call Outbound Generated Proxy in ABAP report ?

    Dear SDNrs.
    I have already created a  Scenario for Client/ Outbound Proxy in XI .
    I have already Generated Client/ Outbound Proxy in ECC .
    Now Question is How to call this generated Proxy in report ?
    Please Guide ..... I dont have any idea ...
    1. before calling any proxy in report what information needs to collect from generated Proxy ?
    2. How to call this generated Proxy in report ?
    Regards
    Prabhat Sharma.

    Hi Prabhat
    You have to use your knowledge about ABAP OO for this.
    It's simple. You created your Proxy Object throught SPROXY transaction, right? Now, you have to instance your class (information avaliable in  SPROXY-> Proxy Objetc -> Class Name) and to use the method displayed there.
    Follow an example:
    DATA: wa_backfeed      TYPE zibrsapglbackfeed_sapgl,
               wa_output            TYPE zibrsapglrequest,
               lo_clientproxy       TYPE REF TO zibrco_sapgl_out,
               lo_sys_exception TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault.
      TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT lo_clientproxy.
          CALL METHOD lo_clientproxy->sapgl_out
            EXPORTING
              output = wa_output.
        CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO lo_sys_exception.
                   lo_sys_exception->if_message~get_text( ).
      ENDTRY.

    Hi Gopal,
    Check this out
    DATA: ref_obj    TYPE REF TO zmfg_production_ord.----> BADI
    * Instantiate the proxy class
        CREATE OBJECT ref_obj.
        TRY.

  • How to trigger an xi communication from abap report?

    Hello,
    I would like to ask if there is a blog, howto or something about How to trigger the communication in an abap programm. The communication will be either rfc->ftp or rfc->jdbc. So how can I tell XI to call that rfc to start the communication (from r/3 as abap programm)?
    thank you.

    Hello,
    about nr1:
    When I set the DESTINATION parameter in a abap report, doesn't this mean the system where the rfc is available? Because when I do it like that my abap report would look for the rfc there and not in r/3 itself. Isn't that right?
    e.g.
    CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_on_r3'
               DESTINATION 'XI.rfc.dest'
    So you think that should work?

  • How to make an ABAP Proxy public as an asynchronous WebService

    Hello together,
    i have made an ABAP-Proxy public as an WebService by generating the WSDL from the directory for my asynchronous <b>outbound interface</b>. This outbound interface is mapped to the ABAP-inbound interface and so on. This works fine.
    But actually i don't need any mapping. So i'm thinking about to how to send the WebService <i>directly</i> and to the ABAP-Inbound-Interface <u>asynchron</u>.
    1. Is this possible at all (and how), and if so
    2. does it makes sense in order to improve the performace (there is a mass-processing in behind)?
    Gunnar

    Gunnar,
    I guess its simple...go for SOAP to Proxy scenario.
    If ur source and target structure is same ..u need not require mapping.u can execute the scenario without mapping also.
    I have done same scenario 2 months ago.....
    following things u need to do.
    1)create outbound message interface
    2)create inbound message interface
    3)No need of message mapping and interface mapping(if u dont require any transformation of source structure)
    4)create WSDL for outbound message interfce
    5)create proxy for inbound MI
    6)write the necessare code in ur proxy
    7)using any SOAP editor like XML spy send data to proxy...
    u have done the work!!!!
    All the best
    regards

  • Trigger an ABAP webdynpro from a  R/3 workflow?

    Can we trigger a webdynpro (for ABAP) component from a step in a R/3 workflow?
    Regards,
    Gajendra.

    Hi Raja,
    I split the thread as you suggested.
    Yes - this subject would make an interesting blog and I hope to get round to it soon if no-one beats me to it - that's a dare :-).
    We offered this at the US Teched (BEM250) and it was very popular with good feedback. We're repeating it in Japan, Amsterdam and Bangalore.
    I'm not realy sure what is meant by R/3 workflow. Workflow has always been part of the basis and since SAP NetWeaver it has been part of that. It's not a 'product' (the name SAP Business Workflow is a bit misleading in this respect) so there's no separate licensing involved. ABAP Web Dynpro came in SAP NetWeaver 2004s, which is after the R/3 era.
    So Gajendra is asking about <i>either</i>
    1. workflow  <i>and </i>WebDynpro executing in a NetWeaver 2004s system in tandem with an R/3 (say Release 4.6C) or
    2. workflow <i>embedded </i>in R/3 4.6C calling a NetWeaver 2004s Web Dynpro or
    3. workflow and Web Dynpro <i>in </i>a Business Suite application which is build on NetWeaver 2004s (i.e. ERP 2005).
    Phew...
    Anyway composition 1 is best done using XI. Composition 2 and 3 are both recommended but 3 is the easiest.
    The simplest solution:
    a) Use the Universal Worklist (UWL) as the inbox.
    b) Use table SWFVISU to generate a configuration for the UWL for an ABAP Web Dynpro application (described by Sandy).
    c) The Web Dynpro application must expect a parameter called <i>WI_ID</i>. This is the work item ID and is the 'handle' to the process. Within the Web Dynpro you can use this handle to view the process/task context (workitem container) and even modify it. You can also use this to signal that the work item is completed. All of this is done using the SAP_WAPI function modules. (the answer to Raja's question).
    I wrote an article which you can access online called 'New Workflow Paradigm ...' in SAP Insider (<a href="http://www.SAPinsideronline.com">www.SAPinsider.com</a>.)
    Best regards,
    Alan

  • How to find Outbound Idoc number from inbound Idoc number.

    Hi,
    I have one inbound Idoc in my system, then
    How to find the  idoc number from the system which sends that idoc(Outbound Idoc number).

    Hello
    You can use fm SREL_GET_NEXT_NEIGHBORS for this purpose.
    Scenario: An EDI purchase order is received by SAP-XI and forwarded as Inbound ORDERS IDoc to R/3. SAP-XI generates an (outbound) IDoc number which differs from the (inbound) ORDERS05 IDoc in the R/3 system.
    Calling fm SREL_GET_NEXT_NEIGHBORS with the following parameters:
    OBJECT-OBJKEY = <IDoc number, 16-digits>
    OBJECT-OBJTYPE = 'IDOC'
    MAX_HOPS = '99'            " <<< get all links
    I get the following result:
    0000000000133906                                   IDOC       CUSTOMER   OUTIDOC
    0000000000407402                                   IDOC                  INIDOC
    000000370383                                       BUS2012    CUSTOMER   OUTBELEG
    0010057944                                         BUS2032               INBELEG
    Outbound IDoc number
    Inbound IDoc number (ORDERS05)
    PO number
    Sales order (created from inbound ORDERS IDoc)
