How to uninstall application software??

Hi Guys,
When a application is installed into Mac. successfully.
But now, I want to uninstalled the application, how can
I do? The application software no uninstall program.
Thanks.

Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Most applications create preference files which are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can located them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
AppZapper
CleanApp
Yank
SuperPop
Uninstaller
Spring Cleaning
Look for them at www.versiontracker.com or www.mackupdate.com.

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.

Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind 4.9, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper 2.0.1
    AppDelete 3.2.6
    Automaton 1.50
    Hazel
    AppCleaner 2.1.0
    CleanApp
    iTrash 1.8.2
    Amnesia

  • How to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?

Can anybody show me how to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?
I mean I want to remove the applications completely from my iphone, not just hide the icons.

    Page 127 of the manual:
"You can delete applications you’ve installed from the App Store. If you delete an
application, data associated with the application will no longer be available to iPhone,
even if you reinstall the application.
You can reinstall any application and any associated data from your iTunes library
as long as you backed up the application by syncing to your computer. If you try to
delete an application that hasn’t been backed up to your computer, an alert appears.
    Delete an App Store application:
1 Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen until the icons start to
    wiggle.
2 Tap the “x” in the corner of the application you want to delete.
3 Tap Delete, then press the Home button to save your arrangement."

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
In Mac OS X, it's easy to uninstall apps. Most of the apps can be uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash. However, some apps come with an uninstaller, and in this case, you have to use the uninstaller. That's because some apps have got files in other folders, and if you just drag the app to the Trash, these files will stay there and they will take space

    how to uninstall application?

You can just drag it to the Trash, if it doesn't come with an uninstaller. If it comes with an uninstaller, use that. I also use a little app called AppDelete to get rid of auxiliary files that may be left behin by simply dragging an app to the Trash. There is a 'free' version called AppCleaner. Some people use these apps, some are vehemently opposed to using such apps - I've never had any trouble.

Not only will it delete the app, but all of the associated files. Just dragging the app to the trash does not do that.

  • How to uninstall unwanted software, get consistent internet?

Trying to work with an older g3 ibook (v 2.2, 800 mhz, SDRAM 512, OS X.2.8, built in ethernet, no firewire), not very familiar with macs. How do I uninstall unwanted software?
On PCs, there are system restore options or launchable uninstall files. Can't find out how to get rid of a d-link driver. (Did not work at all for me)
Had trouble connecting to the nternet over ethernet before the d-link driver installation, too. Worked for a bit, restarted, then didn't want to work (now an another computer). This ibook has had other internet connection problems associated with it (previous user complaints).
    Thanks for any help!

The iBook does have a FireWire port.
To uninstall an unwanted d-link driver, drag it to the trash and empty the trash.
You may want to download the iBook (Dual USB) Multilingual User's Guide (Manual) to help you figure things out. (Clicking on the link downloads the PDF.)
Mac 101 and Switch 101 may provide some helpful tips, too. Although written for the current OS (OS X 10.4), many of the concepts are the same.
Although written specifically for OS X 10.3, the Apple Knowledge Base article Getting connected with Mac OS X may offer some specific advice for you, since the basics are the same.
Good luck, and let us know how things go.

  • How to uninstall applications, such as old versions of Photoshop, etc.?

What's the proper way to uninstall applications, such as previous versions of Photoshop, InDesign, etc.? I've read that the uninstall procedure resides on the "root" folder -- but where's that?

Apps that are installed via an installer usually also include an uninstaller. Others that you drag & drop to Applications are uninstalled by dropping them into the trash. Do note that remnants might be scattered about in various Application Support, Cache, and Preference folders. Those you'll have to manually find and delete.

    how to uninstall downloaded software

Yes, I use it frequently. I'm careful to look at what it's 'zapping,' though. I've never had a problem with it bringing up things that should not be deleted. In my opinion, it's a nice little app... much better than finding associated files than something such as the dreaded MacKeeper, for instance.
Just my opinion - but it works for me quite well.

  • Uninstalling applications software

I downloaded TweetDeck and need to uninstall it. From the Applications menu, does just moving it to the trash actually uninstall it?
    Ane

Yes, but also look in your Library/Preferences folder to see if it has left a preference file.
Alternatively, use an application like AppCleaner to uninstall applications. That finds all related files and deletes them.

  • How to uninstall applications in SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi,
We have installed following applications using "Applications" mode of SCCM 2012 R2.
    XML Notepad
    Notepad++
    Adobe Reader XI
How do we uninstall these applications from clients using SCCM 2012 R2? Do we create deployment type for each and uninstall?

You can configure an install and uninstall command line for each deployment type. Then there are 'install' and 'uninstall' deployments. Uninstall deployments can be used to uninstall software. Keep in mind that an install deployments wins over an uninstall
deployment if both are deployed to the same machine.

How to remove or uninstalled completely application in MacBook Pro?

If all you did to install an application was drag it to the Applications folder, it will be completely uninstalled by dragging it to the Trash and emptying the Trash. How many other files that you've trashed and emptied can you still find on your computer?
Why bother to ask questions if you aren't going to believe the answers you're given? That's just a waste of your time and the time of anyone who answers you.
