How to uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator from Visual Studio

Hello, I recently installed the Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator for Visual Studio. However, I found out that you need to be running Windows 8/8.1 Pro to deploy the emulator, but my computer is the regular edition of Windows 8.1.
How would I uninstall the emulator?
Thanks for your help.

I recently installed the Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator for Visual Studio
What exactly did you install? Visual Studio 2013 (Update 2 and above) already includes 8.1 phone emulators, although there is a separate installer available for updated emulator versions. Open Control Panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features,
and search for "Windows Phone". If the emulator is listed, right-click to uninstall.

  • How to stop Windows phone 8.1 app from crashing?

    Hi All,
I have developed an app in Windows Phone 8.1 environment (WinRT). When i tested the app in my local testing device, it worked fine but when i hosted the app on app store, it sometimes crashes. Please help me, how do i stop my app from crashing?

Sometimes crashes or always crashes when deployed through the store?
If you want to rely on data instead of magic then check the crash reports as Abdul suggests. If you want magic then my crystal ball says that if it always crashes the app is trying to write to its install directory.
The install directory is writable for test deployed apps but not for apps deployed from the store.

  • Uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 SDK Integration

Somehow, Windows Phone 8.1 SDK Integration got installed on my Win7 box.  I can't develop anything for Win8 on that box.  How do I uninstall it, or what program do I uninstall to remove it.  It's not obvious
in the Programs and Features list.  I'm tired of all the update notifications for something I can't use.
    Thank you.

    Hello,
Welcome to VS general forum. But I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses

Because your issue is how to uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 SDK which is not visible in

  • Not able to deploy windows kernel driver on target machine from visual studio

I have created windows kernel driver, and signed it with production certificate. Now I could install this driver on my target machine manually(copying inf, cat and sys).
I want to make use of the visual studio 2013's deployment facility to deploy the driver automatically. But when I try to add the target computer(with administrative account) it failed with error message "The account credentials used to connect to the
target computer could not gain administrator access to the target computer. Try using the built-in Administrator account".
    what possibly could be wrong?

Pavel The host machine is on a domain(say ABC) and I am logged In as the domain administrator. On The target machine I am logged in as the local administrator. Now while adding the target computer from visual studio I am asked for the administrator account
credentials and I am providing the local administrator credentials there.
Pavel I found it is necessary to install "WDK Test Target Setup x64-x64_en-us.msi" on the target machine which I had not run. Once installing that I passed through the previously mentioned steps and after performing few installations target machine
got rebooted. And then the deployment process hanged on step a "Attempting to connect...". Tried this for multiple times but result in to the same problem.

    Hi Or,
    Using
Launcher class is fine (not sure if you are playing with 8.1 Silverlight or runtime), you can launcher default system app by following code:
    var success = await Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchFileAsync(file);

You don't need to perform this procedure on computers running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. The current version of Windows Management Framework is already installed on these operating systems.

  • How to get Windows phone 7.8 update??

I've a Nokia Lumia 800. I realise there is a new update for the Nokia Lumia , Windows Phone 7.8. Yet I still have the old 7.5 version. My phone tells me that it's up to date but obviously it's not, my computer also says it's up to date. Please help, how do I get the new 7.8 update?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Once available for your device you will get a notice on the phone. Next time you connect to your PC with Zune running you will be able to update.
At this time Microsoft has halted the update process due to a found issue which needs to be fixed. No information on when the update will resume or restart is currently available but is expected to be shared as soon as Microsoft is ready with the issue.

  • How to publish Windows Phone 8.1 Silverlight app to Windows Phone store?

I created Windows Phone 8.1 Silverlight app, and I can't to upload it into WP store. I want to use Create
App Packages tool in Visual Studio 2013 Professional, but it's impossible for Silverlight apps. I read many guides
on dev.windows.com. It's necessary to upload only .appx, .appxbundleor .appxupload files,
    but I have .xap file
    only in Bin\ARM\Release folder.
    May anyone help me?

Appx packages are only for Windows Runtime apps. Windows Phone Silverlight apps use xap files. The Windows Phone Store will accept either xap (for Silverlight) or appx (for Runtime) apps.
I discussed this in more detail in my blog entry: Why can’t I create an app package? Windows Phone Xap vs. Appx

Yes, removing a device will uninstall Windows Intune Center and its association with Windows Intune. Check this:
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsintune.latest/hh949661.aspx [Removing a Device by Using the Windows Intune Company Portal], and
