How to unistall JDK 1.1.6???

I have JDK 1.1.6 installed on my computer (running Windows 95) and now I'd like to uninstall this version of JDK, but when I opened the "Add/Remove Programs" dialog box (inside the "Control Panel" window) there wasn't any "JDK" stuff (or similar name) appearing on this dialog box. So, how shall I uninstall JDK 1.1.6 from my machine? What is the best solution for this problem?

[danilonobre],
If the "Add/Remove" program does not list the JDK 1.1.6 packages, then along the way, the Windows 95 registry must have gotten corrupted.
Once very crude and brutal way of uninstalling the JDK 1.1.6 from your Windows 95 machine, you probably need to edit the Registry and manually remove the JDK 1.1.6 registry entries. Thereafter you can just delete the JDK 1.1.6 directories.
CAUTION: Modifying the Windows 95 registry must be done carefully so as to avoid mistakes in deleting registry entries that can render the entire system unusable. You are advised to be extra cautious if you decide to uninstall the JDK by editing the Windows 95 registry.

    please help

    Hello,
Double-click the "Install ShapeShifter" icon and click on the "Uninstall" button (the installer will move all ShapeShifter files to the Trash - it will never actually delete any files on your system).
Remove the file named "ShapeShifter.prefPane" from the Library/PreferencePanes folder in your home directory and the file "ShapeShifter.ape" from the Library/Application Enhancers folder in your home directory

  • How to unistall os x mavericks from imac

how to unistall os x mavericks from system . my kids trying to home work , system very slow please help

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • How do unistall programs from my macbook pro?

i just cant seem to find out how to unistall and remove programs from my macbook pro. any suggestions?

It depends upon how the application got there in the first place. Many applications can be uninstalled by simply dragging them from the Applications folder into the trash. (You may have to authenticate.).  Some applications come with their own uninstaller, usually in the Applications folder or in a folder in the Applications folder dedicated to the application in question.
If you have a dock icon left over, you can just drag it off of the dock.

  • How to give jdk location path in windows 7 for odi installation

    I downloaded a file ofm_odi_generic_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1 and ofm_rcu_win_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1 .
In ofm_rcu_win_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1 file i found java in bin under jdk.
In my pc Path is D:\OdiHome\rcu\rcuHome\jdk\bin
The above same path i gave but it was not taking any thing and asking same question specify jdk location.
Kindly provide me the details how to make this success .Thanks in advance.

    Hi
The path is now managed by Windows 7 and not the autoexec.bat or autoexec.nt files. To change the system environment variables, follow the below steps.
1.From the desktop, right-click My Computer and click Properties.
2.In the System Properties window, click on the Advanced tab.
3.In the Advanced section, click the Environment Variables button.
4.Finally, In Environment Variable window User variables in Techno
Click on Add button and provide below information
    Variable Name: JAVA_HOME
    Value: D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24
Again Click on Add button and enter below details
    Variable Name: path
    Value: %path%;D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin;D:\Oracle\Middleware\jre160_24\bin
Again Click on Add button and enter below details
Variable Name: ODI_JAVA_HOME (same jdk location should provide in odiparam.bat file in ODI_HOME\oracledi\agent\bin location)
    Value: D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24
Note: Better Don't gove jdk path from D:\OdiHome\rcu\rcuHome\jdk\bin. Please give jdk path from Drive:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24 (*eg: D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24*) for more details see below URL

  • Info on how to load jdk 1.1 applet

I am totally new to this technology.
How do I load a jdk 1.1 applet onto a geocities website?
Do I need a special program to run the applet?
I have uploaded the applet and cannot figure out how to operate it, I can find no html or class files.
this is an applet for creating islamic tiling and interlacing, here is the url, if you are willing to come this far with me
    http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/csk/tile/islam/
Sorry, But I'm an artist and not a web site designer.
Please explain in very simple terms
    Thank you
    Storm

Use the HTML applet tags, if you know HTML. If all you want to do is the applet and nothing else, then just create the following HTML file in simpletext (save it as FileName.html), or even geocities file manager:
    html
    <applet code = "ClassName.class" width = 400 height 400>
    </applet>
    /html
The numbers and file name listed above are just ones I used as an example. Use whatever ones you need to make it big enough and to load the class you want. And remember to put the < and > in the HTML tags, I didn't so that it would show up on this forum.
This procedure WILL NOT work with Yahoo! PageBuilder, in case that's what you are using.
Remember to upload the CLASS file into your geocities file manager/directory or it will not work.
If all you want to do is load an applet and it doesn't work, then their is something wrong with your browser (probably because it doesn't support JAVA).
Another good idea would be to download jdk 1.2.2 or jdk 1.3, probably found at sun.com somewhere (I'm still trying to find it, hehe!)
Tell me if it works or not and whether or not you understand what I'm talking about. Thanx.

But before doing this, check with oralce whether this is compatible. Oracle 0.1.2 supplied JDK is 1.4

If you need to install Java legacy SE 6 runtime, first, you can try going to the website associated with the software (app) that you are trying to run and see if they have any support options.  If there is nothing available for you, you can try this link (it worked for me anyway):  users can download Java 6 here
I was trying to run my Finale program (music notation software) for the first time after the Yosemite upgrade, and I got an error message that said I needed to install Java legacy SE 6 runtime.  After searching a few other places online with no success, I found this link on Finale's website (www.makemusic.com) and clicked on "FINALE," then "SUPPORT," then "SUPPORT SOLUTIONS" and I typed "Java legacy SE 6 runtime" into the search bar.  The #1 search topic that came up is titled, " Java 6 SE Update Required Message when launching Finale or PrintMusic."  After clicking on that, There was this link to install Java legacy SE 6 runtime: users can download Java 6 here
If you click on that link, it will download the update.  You will then go to your downloads folder, click on the file, and then it will step you through all the usual installation prompts.  This link is trustworthy, so no worries there!  I hope this helps!
