How to use char in the return type

in JAVA how to define a NULL charactor???It depends what you mean. char is a primitive, and so it cannot have a value of null. If you need a value of null, you could use a Character, rather than char.
On the other hand, if you mean "the null character"--the char whose bits are all zero--then char ch = '\0';Edit: Oh, yeah, a simple 0 as DrLJ suggested will work too.
