How to use client.jar generated by deploytool for a EJB web service

Hello!
Could anyone help me?
I use Sun Application Server to deploy my EJB module and expose it as a web service. Then I open deploytool tree and select localhost under Server branch. In the right panel it shows a list of web services deployed. I chose recently deployed service and press "Client Jar..." button to get generated client stubs.
Good.
Could anyone tell me how I should use this jar file? It does not contain ..._Service_Impl.class that is usually used to get service port and call service methods.
Please, explain me.
Thank you much

try
jar tf Client.jar and look at what is inside.
Usually you run the client to connect to the server -- (java -classpath blah pack.age.name.Client)
Dont know how its being done over there.

• Problem generating stubs for Java EJB web service deployed in OAS

I created an EJB web service and I've successfully deployed it in my Oracle App Server. Some of the methods work fine but others produce the ff error:
org.apache.soap.SOAPException - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No Serializer found to serialize [classname] using encoding style [encoding]It seems that the objects specified as parameters in the web service methods exposed are the only ones that had stubs generated for them. Other objects I use, which are usually wrapped inside a Vector, did not have generated stubs.
Example:
public String loginUser(UserDTO userDTO) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException;
public String addItems (Vector vecItems) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException; // where vecItems is a collection of ItemDTO objects In this scenario, stubs were generated for the UserDTO class, but not for the ItemDTO class. In effect, calling the addItems method resulted to the exception I mentioned above.
I did a workaround wherein I declared a dummy method which accepted all the types of objects I needed as parameters so all the necessary stubs can be generated, but this fix doesn't feel like it's the proper solution to my problem.
If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

• Use BizTalk 2006 as a proxy for an external Web Service

Hi
We have a solution that is going to work just as a proxy for an external Web Service.
It works like this:
1. We have a Request-Response receive port that receives the calls for the WS.
2. Different Static Solicit-Response ports that have filters for each method in the WS receive the requests and then send them to the external WS.
3. The response from the external WS is then sendt back to the caller via the Request-Response port in point 1.
This generally works like it should. The only problem i have is when the external WS returns a Fault message. I get this fault from the external WS:
<s:Fault xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>s:Client</faultcode><faultstring xml:lang="nb-NO">Some error message the caller should see.</faultstring><detail><GenericFault
xmlns="http://register.test.com/Common" xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><ErrorCode>SomthingWentWrong</ErrorCode><Message>Some error message the caller should see.</Message></GenericFault></detail></s:Fault>
This message then failes on BizTalk and BizTalk returns this Fault message to the caller:
<SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><SOAP:Body><SOAP:Fault><faultcode>Microsoft BizTalk Server Negative Acknowledgment
</faultcode><faultstring>An error occurred while processing the message, refer to the details section for more information </faultstring><faultactor>/Hemit.BizTalk.NHN.Position.ws/IPositionService.asmx</faultactor><detail><ns0:NACK
Type="NACK" xmlns:ns0="http://schema.microsoft.com/BizTalk/2003/NACKMessage.xsd"><NAckID>{7AC314FE-2CA3-44AE-8208-180495500481}</NAckID><ErrorCode>0xc0c016b7</ErrorCode><ErrorCategory>0</ErrorCategory><ErrorDescription>There
is an error in XML document (1, 2).</ErrorDescription><ErrorDetail><Fault xmlns='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'> was not expected.</ErrorDetail></ns0:NACK></detail></SOAP:Fault></SOAP:Body></SOAP:Envelope>
So the problem seems to be that the Request-Response port in point one will ONLY accept the real response that is specified in the response schema for that particular method, and not a Fault. And when it receives a fault, it generates its own Fault saying
a Fault message was not expected.
Does anyone know how i can be able to send the actual fault from the external WS all the way back to the caller on the inside?
I know how to do it with an orchestration, but can not figure out how to get it done just with the ports.
Kind regars
John Viggo

Hi John,
Enable Propagate fault message
on the WCF solict –response port.
For the two-way send port, you can choose whether to forward
SOAP fault messages on to the original caller over a solicit-response send port by selecting
Propagate fault message. If this option is not selected, BizTalk Server will generate a NACK. What you see is the NACK.
If it is selected, BizTalk Server will treat the message as a valid WCF response message from the external service and the response message will not be suspended because it is propagated.
Then you need to map the fault message to the actual response in the map. Set this Fault-Message to Caller-Response map in the outbound map of the Requeust-Response port.
In this case of messaging-only scenario, this method shall help in handling the fault message and passing fault details back to the caller. Refer the following articles for more details.

• Problems with client.jar - generated from webservices toolkit from JDK 1.1.7

We have deployed a web application using the webservices in WL 6.1 using JDK 1.3.1.
The clients were able to successfully access the servlet it generated and download
the client.jar. Unfortunately this client.jar seems to be dependent on JDK 1.2

Is there any workaround or fix to this problem, so this jar can be used from a

• How to use external jars in NW2004

Hello Experts,
can i use the same approach mentioned in the below Weblog for using the external jars in NW2004.
/people/bertram.ganz/blog/2008/11/24/how-to-use-external-jar-files-in-web-dynpro-development-components
and if not then what will be the best way to achieve it in NW2004.
Please provide your inputs on above.
Regards,
Siddharth

Hi Sidharth,
If you are using web dynpro DC perspective then you need to follow the following points to use the external jar files in it.
1. Create a external library project.
2. copy the external jars in the library folder os the projects.
3.) Select all the jars from the u201CLibrariesu201D folder, Right click and then select Development Component and click on Add to Public Part
4.Select the first Radio Button (Provides an API)and give some nameto it.
5. Repeat the step no 3 but now select the second radio button other than as selected in step no 4.
6. Now build your lirary DC.
7. Now create a j2ee DC project.
8. ) Expand the node DC Definition and Right Click on Used DC. Select Add Used DC.
9. Select the External Library DC with build time dependency.
10.Right click on the J2EE DC and then select Development Component followed by Build
11. Right click on the J2EE DC and then select Development Component followed by Deploy
now you can use both the libary DC and the j2ee DC in your web dynpro DC as used DC.
But if you have created a web dynpro project only(but not DC) than you can directly add the external jars in java build path
hope this will help

• How can the client know if the SSL certificate specified in the service-config.xml file is invalid/u

Hi,
How can the client know if the SSL certificate specified in the service-config.xml file is invalid/untrusted/expired? For example using iOS client, the trusted certificate will not work and the client has no way to know that the certificate is untrusted. Can the lcds server return any specific exceptions for SSL errors?
Thanks,
Swathi.

We use a standard Java keystore and certificate validation can be handled as per standard best practices. At present we do not provide a hook point to validate the server certificate. However, you can register a bootstrap service which validates the certificate on system startup: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811f00f 6fe7f-7ffeUpdate.html This would require you to pass another copy of the keystore configuration to you Bootstrap service and then you can inspect the certificate in the keystore and validate it.

• How to fire event to generate insert message for the child objects?

We are in process to integrate CRM On Demand and existing Microsoft SQL DB.
We have the following problem:
For ex., we have CRM Object_1 that already synchronized with the SQL DB. CRM also has independent Object_2 and its child Object_2.1
We dicided that we want to connect the Object_2 as child to the Object_1.
The question is how to fire event to generate insert message for the Object_2 and Object_2.1?
What is the best technique? Is it possible to do it by workflow configuration or it needs to be done programmatically?
Thanks,
Dmitry
Edited by: 955827 on Aug 29, 2012 11:57 AM

Hi,
integration events can be generated only via worklow. You will need to create separate workflows for each record type (regardless if it is child or parent) because a workflow for the parent record type will not trigger when a child record is created/ associated. Also, the association workflows will trigger only when the specific event occurs.
There is not way to generate the integrtaion events programatically. They are generated by workflows and are read/ interpreted by a code extension.

• How to create secure EJB web service in Oc4J using JDeveloper?

We are going to develop a EJB web service running in OC4J using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
By using the JDeveloper feature, we can simply create the web service by using the "Web Service Endpoint Interface" in the session bean.
However, unlike the web service created from Java class, I can't find any option to change the security setting of this web service. We tried adding annotation like @DenyAll for testing, but there has no effect and related method can still be called without WS-Security header.
Now, we can only change the security setting via the web console after deployment (select the web service, then enable security in administration page, and then edit security configuration to change the inbound policies for authentication). It works in our local machine, but it may not work in the production environment as we cannot touch the em console.
May I know if there has any way to include the security setting inside the project?
Thanks in advance.

If I am not wrong, you might be probably talking about this :
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B40099_02/books/EAI2/EAI2_WebServices33.html#wp179056
In order to implement the SOAP header, you would have to :
(1) Define SOAP header in the wsdl of the service.
(2) Add a new soap binding in the wsdl, which contains soap header and soap body.
I think, this should get you going..

• Wsdl file that is used in bpel (ejb web service)

hi all,
i have created a product table in the database and then i created an entity product class from the table,
after that i created session bean and publish this session bean as a web service.
During creating session bean --> i chose Business tier00--> session bean --> include Web Service Endpoint Interface-->
i got the interface ProductSessionWeb Service (java file) but i am wondering why in the class i need to import and do anotation @WebMethod on my own the tool does do this for me.
After adding anotation @WebMethod for an operation (selectAll) in order to select product table.
i deployed this web service on oracle application server. it was sucessful and i tested this web service . it returned the product data that i expected.
1. However, i can not find WSDL file in the directory that i created.
2. i can only see wsdl file from my address location on (Explorer)
3. How can i generate WSDL file from this application because i want to use this wsdl file in order to drag this (web service )file using in my bpel process.

The webservice code and its wsdl is generated when deployed to the application server based on the annotations, method signature, etc. In a top-down/contract-driven approach you would construct the wsdl yourself and then add the implementation. Both methods have their pro's and cons.
If you want the wsdl locally, you can just open it in the browser and save it to disk. In the BPEL editor you can also point to the URL instead of the filesystem when defining a partnerlink.

• How to add image in ejb web service

Hello Community,
I am writing web service to create a PDF file using itext API. In PDF file i want to add an image.
Can someone please tell that , how can i add image(jpeg, png , etc.) to an ejb web service?

Hi,
Please check the below code which i used to add image to the header using iText . Similarly you can add image directly to the document also as a element.
Adding image as Header:
httpServletRequest = request.getServletRequest();
domainURL=httpServletRequest.getScheme()+"://"+httpServletRequest.getServerName();
imgLogo=domainURL+request.getWebResourcePath()+"/images/XXXX.jpg";
image =Image.getInstance(imgLogo);
image.scalePercent(22);// As per you need
chunk = new Chunk(image, 0, -20);
HeaderFooter header_pdf = new HeaderFooter(new Phrase(chunk), false); // here i have added image as header
header_pdf.disableBorderSide(0);
header_pdf.setAlignment(Element.ALIGN_CENTER);
header_pdf.setBorder(0);
document.setHeader(header_pdf);
(or)
Adding Image a Element:
httpServletRequest = request.getServletRequest();
domainURL=httpServletRequest.getScheme()+"://"+httpServletRequest.getServerName();
imgLogo=domainURL+request.getWebResourcePath()+"/images/XXXX.jpg";
image =Image.getInstance(imgLogo);
image.scalePercent(22);
document.add(image);
