An Expression is just part of an SQL statement, so you need a query to convert something to SQL. Create a ReadObjectQuery or ReadAllQuery with the Expression, and call,
query.prepareCall(session, new DatabaseRecord());
String sql = query.getSQLString();
(you could also use getTranslatedSQLString(Record) to translate parameter values).

How to use example formulas in a customized spreadsheet

I like the set up and formulas used in the example spreadsheet for Checking in Numbers 09. However, I would like to remove the data that is there and replace with my own data without losing the formulas used. How can I do that?
Also, I would like to add a column for "Withdrawals" and change the name of "Amount" to "Deposit" and have the "Balance" column to continue reflecting the correct balance. I do know how to add the extra column and how to change the name of "Amount"; what I do not know is how to get "Balance" to reflect the correct amount. How can I do it?

You can delete all the data in columns A, B, and C. Just don't delete any cells that have formulas in them (column F) and don't delete the pop-ups in column D. You can also rename "Amount" to "Deposit" without affecting anything.
If you add a column for withdrawals, you will have to modify the formula in the balance column. Here is one way to do it:
Add a column to the left of Deposit (currently called Amount), this new "withdrawal" column will become column E and Deposit will become column F.
Copy the formula below and paste it into cells G3 through G14 (all of the cells from G3 to the bottom of the table):
=$G$1-SUM(OFFSET(Balance 101,3-ROW(),-2,ROW()-2))+SUM(OFFSET(Balance 101,3-ROW(),-1,ROW()-2))
When you enter amounts in the Deposit or Withdrawal column enter positive amounts, not negative ones like those currently in the table.
What I don't know is how this will work with a downloaded file from your bank. It may not work with the additional column and with all positive numbers.
EDIT: If you already read this post, I have since removed the stuff about modifying the popup to include a "deposit" category.. It already has one.

I want my users to be able to login with same username/password in my reporting system as in they use for their email, office 365 and share point.
Since the web is in PHP i found some ideas that use CURL to get the cookie but i['m wondering if there is another way to do that?
All API show cases and docs that i looked are so confusing that i can't even figure out if it is possible at all and how. It would be great to be able to reset passwords through my system and also to create new users. So that i have all centralized in one

We are using a virtual-directory-mapping declaration in the deployment descriptor
for our web application to load jsp'a and other files from the file system.
This declaration looks like this:
<virtual-directory-mapping>
<local-path>c:/views/jsp</local-path>
<url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
</virtual-directory-mapping>
Here is my question:
Is there a possibility to use a variable in the local-path element? Something
like:

<local-path>%PATH_TO_JSP%</local-path>
<url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
</virtual-directory-mapping>
If yes, how does it look like? My example above didn't work.

I managed to transfer the music from 1 pc to 1 other pc (to be played by iTunes). Bit didn't fixe the transfer of the meta data (for example the rating). Does anyone know how to use your old playlists, etc..(= meta data) on the other PC? So, please help!

I managed to transfer the music from 1 pc to 1 other pc (it is played perfectly on the other PC (Windows 7- pc) by the newly downloaded and installed iTunes, version 10.6.1.7). But I didn’t fix the transfer of the meta data (for example the rating). Does anyone know how to use (or import) your old playlists, etc..(= meta data) on the other PC? So, short: how to migrate the meta data from one pc to an other pc?
It's a pity that it seems not to be possible to import on the new pc e.g. the ratings!!!
I don't want to start again with rating my (beautiful classical) music!

Hi,
To access the MIDI ports you will need to call the Windows SDK. To send MIDI commands is relatively easy, here is an example that shows you how to send data to a MIDI controller or keyboard.
As far as input goes, this is the hard part. There are a series of functions that you need to call to open up the device, set some buffers and and possibly a callback to get notifications on the incoming data.
Reading MIDI data will not be an easy task, your best bet will be to implement this in a DLL and call that DLL in LabVIEW, there should be some code available o the web.

Good afternoon, Excuse, are newbie in the scope I am learning and putting desire to him, this in my situation I am trying to install Sun ONE Directory Server 5,2 since I understand that this it is application LDAP for Solaris, ok I want to install it to authenticate user against the system, that is to say, to be able to acces the server entering with a created user from the data base of LDAP and make think user that his created in the system. But the documentation that I finds indicates the installation of Sun ONE Directory Server 5,2 but it not clearly about how to use it for authentication. Some one have any manual step by step of Sun ONE Directory Server 5,2 installation and how to make it for authentication systems users.

I think that I found the Sun endorsed book locations for using LDAP accounts that don't use authentication besides "crypt". I now can use an account with a "ssha" password. It can be more than 8 characters long.

Read page 201 which is the pam.conf file pam_ldap setups. I edited my "/etc/pam.conf" file to reflect this

Read page 316-318 which has a graphical technique to specify password syntax. I set it up and then tried the password by running "su - brahms". It now requires a longer password than 8 characters and it is set up to use "ssha" for that UID entry "brahms".

It sounds like you are trying to alter the timing of a waveform. What I would suggest to you is to look at the Waveform palette to explore the different ways of manipulating the waveform datatype. Also, I put together a small example (written in LV 7.1) to delay the waveform graph by 500 samples (500*dt seconds).

How to use SPNegoLoginModule with a corporate directory

Hi!
I'm trying to use the kerberos login module for the integrated windows authentication. I found in help.sap.com how to set up the kerberos for an ADS data source. But this works only when using the ADS as unique data source with the windows account of the user as uniquename.
Our portal currently uses the corporate directory (a ldap system) for authentication. The corporate directory is also defined as data source in the dataSouceConfiguration.xml file.
And now we should implement the windows authentication via kerberos in additon to this. Kerberos uses a windows domain controler for authentication.
My problem is that the kerberos principal name used for authentication (=the windows account) is not available in our corporate directory.
However, there is a unique attribute available in both, in the domain controller and in the corporate directory which could be used for mapping. But I do not know how to do this.
I thought that I have to set up the windows domain controler as a second data source in the dataSourceConfiguration.xml file. But I'm not sure about this.
Have someone experience how to do this? Hints are very welcome!

I found a solution for this problem, I don't know it's best practice but here it is :

Oracle ADF RichSelenium class - any examples on how to use this?

Digging around the net and found that there is a class for Selenium testing ADF Rich components, namely oracle.adf.view.rich.automation.selenium.RichSelenium located in oracle_common\modules\oracle.adf.view_11.1.1\adf-richclient-automation-11.jar.
I've been searching for half a day now and cannot find any example code on how to use RichSelenium class for the life of me.
There are examples of using Selenium with ADF (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/adf/part6-094560.html) but not using RichSelenium.
Any lead or information would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Need an example how to use SCAN_Start with a callback function

I would appreciate if someone helps me with a working example of how to use SCAN_Start with a callback function. I need just a basic functionality: to specify a channel list (with gains probably), to start a data acquisition task and to receive data buffers utilizing a callback function. t this time whatever I was trying to do caused computer hangups, though it is supposed to be one of the most regular tasks to perform.

Attached is an example project which uses a callback function to begin analog acquisition (AI) by calling SCAN_Start. This project acquires from the first 2 channels on your DAQ device. Make sure to modify the device number in the code to match the number of your card.
