How to use Nokia PC Connectivity API in labview?

I wish I could use the camera on my Nokia
phone in my labview project, in this case the AT command doesn’t apply. I guess
Nokia_PC_Connectivity_API_3.2  (consist of LIB files and  header files)  might be useful, but I don’t know how to load a static
library in Labview.  Do I have to write a
C program first before labview could use those API function? Or is there a
simple way to control my nokia phone?
Would be grateful if anyone could help!

It supports DLL(*.dll) only, not LIB(*.lib). I need LIB interface.
Possible options are,
1) to make a new DLL calling LIB by using C/C++ complier (ex. visual c), then use "Call Library Function Node",
2) to generate new c source code calling external LIB, then using CIN(Code Interface Node).
They looked available, but  NI has addressed that either one won't work, unless original code desinger makes a new clean dll.
Do you have another idea?
Don't go the CIN route! They are legacy technology and not supported anymore on all LabVIEW platforms. The shared library (Call Library Node) interface is the way to go nowadays.
And I don't understand your second last sentence. A lib while having the same file ending is not a standard format as its internal layout and format depends highly on the compiler that was used. So there is no way NI could make a general purpose interface node to interface directly to lib files. It is even so bad that a lib created with one comiler can not usually be used with a different compiler.

    Hai everybody,
    Can anybody help me "How to Use Nokia N81 Wifi Facility as a Wireless Network Card for the PC using PC Suite"
     Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Are you wanting to use the N81 to connect to a wireless router then to pass on it's internet connection to your PC?
    If so that isn't possible.
    You will need to buy a wi-fi adaptor for your PC and connect directly to the wireless router.  They don't cost much now, less than £10.

    Hi Theo,
    There are several ways to implement this using simple timing features of LabVIEW.  Two fairly simple methods are comparing system time stamps or using the Wait VI provided in the Timing palette.  The time stamp comparison requires a little bit more programming, but can be included in your main program loop.  To use the Wait function, you will probably need to construct a new loop parallel to your main loop.  I have attached screenshots of these two implementations.  Please let me know if you have any more questions.

  • How to use Nokia maps

    Hi,
    I have Nokia 7510 Supernova Model, I would like to know how to use Nokia maps in it. I tried using Navicore Extenal Bluetooth ( Wayfinder), but i couldnt use it. Is there any way to use maps in Nokia.

    Hi mdmalik
    Provided this isn't a typographic error for 7610 Supernova, unfortunately you cannot use Nokia Maps on your S40 device. You could use application such as Nav4All although you would need to download data with asscociated costs:http://www.nav4all.com/site2/www.nav4all.com/index.php
    Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • How to use Nokia mail for exchange

    How to use Nokia mail for exchange for N82 so that it can push mails for gmail,yahoo.

    It appears that what you are looking to do is from another product at Nokia called Nokia Messaging.  Go to mail.nokia.com and setup a messaging account and add the gmail and yahoo accounts there.  Then SMS send the configuration program to your device.  Install it.  it will add all the accounts to your device on install and will send messages to your device.  So at this point you will have Mail for Exchange for you corporate mail and Nokia Messaging for you personal mail ( gmail and yahoo).

  • How to use a JCO connection pool in an EJB?

    Hi *,
    I want to build a WebService using SAP Web AS (J2EE Engine) that connects to a R/3 ERP (release 4.7).
    I thought of building a stateless session bean that will be deployed as webservice. The session bean shall connect to the R/3 in order to call some BAPIs. I'd like to use a JCO connection pool. But I'm not sure, where I should create and destroy the connection pool. Are the EJB methods ejbCreate() and ejbRemove() the right ones? If so, my businness methods would just have to get a connection from the pool and call the BAPIs, right? If not, what do you suggest?
    Another question: I already deployed a bean as webservice. Since not really knowing how to use the connection pool, I created a bean with one business method that creates a connection pool whenever it gets called. But if I have to change something in the bean so that I have to redeploy the bean I can't call my business method anymore, because JCO cannot load a native library once again, as it is already loaded, This leads to an exception. So I have to restart the complete engine everytime I redeploy my bean. Are there any workarounds for this problem? I'm not sure whether this is connected to the wrong use of the JCO connection pool.
    Kind regards,
    Lars

  • How to use the Public Java API

    Is it possible to use the Public Java API to write a custom transformation in Java and use this in OWB. i.e. Say I have a Dateofbirth field in my source database and an Agegroup field in the target database, and I write a transformation in Java to take the Dateofbirth as an input parameter to the method and calculate the Agegroup e.g. 25-30, and return it from this method which then populates the Agegroup field in the target database. If so, how do I go about this?

    Martin,
    In general, yes you could... but you do not need to. You could use the UI to implement this requirement. The public Java API is there for you to manipulate metadata. How you implement your system, is independent of that.
    The way you would go about the case you just mentioned... you would write the Java code, deploy it into the database, wrap it in a PL/SQL procedure or function, and call it from OWB.
    Would this be a good idea...? I think no. Unless you have very complicated calculations that can only be performed in Java, I strongly encourage you use the PL/SQL language. Reason being: transformation will be much faster, because there is no need to translate PL/SQL into Java and back again.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark.

  • Anyone know how to use Exchange Web Service API in PB Classic 12.5

    Trying to figure out how to use the api/dll's of the EWS.  I am new to web services in pb so I seem to be going nowhere fast.  If you have used it I would appreciate some guidance or better yet code/instruction on how to use/access it/setup.  I need to be able to get to exchange (in this case using an office365 test account) and read emails/calendar info etc..
    Thanks for any help..

    Hi Matt,
    I find an article about Overlay a SharePoint calendar with a calendar from Exchange or SharePoint, for your reference:

  • How to use the current connection when calling db procedure ?

    dear all,
    Am using Jdevleoper 11.1.1.3 ,
    I have a java class that call a database procedure , now everything is going fine with me but a bit slow bcoz am openning a new connection I think it would be definitely faster if am using the current connection
    so how can i re-write my code so i can use the current connection istead of defining a new connection to the DB :
    public void DeleteApp (int PAppNo){
    String username,password,thinConn;
    username = "ACC";
    password = "ACC";
    thinConn = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@..."
    try {
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(thinConn, username, password);
    CallableStatement cs = conn.prepareCall(" { call myprocedure(?,?,?) } ");
    cs.setInt(1,PAppNo);
    Thanks for all,
    Lama

    Delta,
    You shound NOT be doing JDBC calls from your UI project. You should put the code as a service method in your application module, expose the service method to the client, and then call it through the binding layer from your UI http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/b31974/bcservices.htm#sm0212
    thx John & timo but u always post the same reply at the same time for my questionsTimo and I have been around long enough that we recognize the questions that have been posted 9,461,293,811 times before and know the stock answers, and know where in the documentation the answers are given. As you appear to be new to ADF, I'd strongly recommend reading the Fusion Developer's Guide (skim it once and then read in detail the parts that interest you). As I've said before, so many of the basic (and not-so-basic) concepts are covered in there. Once you've skimmed it in enough detail, then the next time you have a problem, you might not know the answer, but you'll remember, "ah, I think I read something about that before, let me check..."

  • How to use Java Data Mining API(JDM)

    hello,
    i have downloaded the JDM API(dmapi-1_0_1-fr-spec.zip) from JSR 000073. In the Readme.txt file, I have read that the components required to use the API are jdm.jar and jdmtck.jar.
    But these two files didnot come with the above zip file. The zip file contained other zip files namely RI.zip, TCK.zip, Spec.zip, etc.
    If somebody knows how to use this API, please please let me know
    My personal email ID: [email protected]

    Even I am not able to understand how to use it. How useful is the JDM API to make a new algorithm?
    Thank you,
