  • How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

    Hi all,
    I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
    I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
    Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
    I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
    Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
    If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
    SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
    I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ranjith

    you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
    You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.
    You can intercept the values entered as described
    public void onQueryList(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    List<Criterion> searchList = qdes.getConjunctionCriterion().getCriterionList();
    for ( Criterion c : searchList) {
    if (c instanceof AttributeCriterion ) {
    AttributeCriterion a = (AttributeCriterion) c;
    a.getValues();
    for ( Object o : a.getValues()){
    System.out.println(o.toString());
    //call default Query Event
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    public void onQueryTable(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    private void invokeQueryEventMethodExpression(String expression, QueryEvent queryEvent){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression me = efactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expression, Object.class, new Class[]{QueryEvent.class});
    me.invoke(elctx, new Object[]{queryEvent});

    hi
    ideally if you want to print from the ipad you should have an airprint enabled printer:

    however, there are workarounds, you can download a decent third party app to print such as print n share, printcentral or printdirect

    Hi,
    According to your description, you might want that "Notice" field has a default value when form is created and users can be able to change the value of that
    field.
    As a workaround, you can add an action rule in “Name” field via InfoPath to fill the default value in “Notice” field only when “Name” field is not blank and “Notice”
    field is blank.
    Settings of the rule are as below, you can modify it based on your need:
    Here is a link about how to add an action rule in InfoPath form, you can use it as a reference:

  • How do i search a textfile for a particular value?

    How do i search a textfile for a particular value?
    I have made the records etc, six fields per record, i would like to find a value which is typed into the search textbox, find the record in the textfile and display the record in the boxes used to enter the data.
    SO HOW WOULD I SEARCH A TEXTFILE?
    Thanks very much for your help, Antony (UK)...

    If it were me, I'd use Lucene. Each line could be a separate document, and each field would be a field in Lucene. That would provide you one of the fastest and most flexible ways to do what you want.
    Or did you mean you want someone to complete your homework assignment? :-)

    Hi Sam,
    You cannot do this directly as exclusion, but you can include all other values, even as ranges and thus exclude the particular value, else you can also try to do this by writing a routine.
    Hope this helps...

  • How to use wlst to configure access policies for JMS ?

    Hello,
    I am trying to set access policies for a JMS unified queue. It can be done easily with the console, but I could not find how to do it with wlst with version 10.0 !
    I've found the following olds posts on this topic:
    1. WLST Script for Protecting a JMS: WLST Script for Protecting a JMS Resource.
    and
    2. Create a JMX Policy by script: Create a JMX Policy by script
    I could not find the "resourceId" string as stated in first link for Weblogic 8.1 SP6.
    And following second link, is not working after a stop/restart of weblogic servers. :-(
    Do you know a way to configure an access policy for a JMS queue with wlst tool ?
    I have also tried using configToScript() command to retrieve security policy information from what has been done on the console, but I was unable to find such information ! Is security saved by configToScript() ?

    Add configToScript information.

    Security data is not persisted in config.xml so it is not contained in the output from a configToScript command.
    You may want to ask in the WebLogic Server - Security forum.

  • How to use Connection Pool in ADF ear file creaion from jDev 10.1.3

    Hi,
    We are developing big application in ADF with 10 different modules. We are creating ear file with data source setting.
    How to use connection pool while creating ear file from jDev. Connection pool is alreday created in Application Server 10g.
    What all the setting we need do to make use of connection pool while creating ear file jDev.
    Thanks

    User,
    If you are using ADF Business Components, you can right-click each application module, select "configurations" and edit the configuration you are using. On the initial page of the configuration dialog, you can specify to use either a JDBC URL or a Datasource - you just need to choose Datasource and then provide the name by which to access it.

  • How to use P_SESSION.GET_VALUE_AS_VARCHAR2 in MDform item default Value

    I have a master detail form based on two tables. In the DETAIL_BLOCK section I have an item named 'APPROVAL_STATUS' based on the column of the same name in the underlying table. I have an unassociated textbox named CURR_APPROVSTAT in the detail form for which I would like to set it's default value to the current value of APPROVAL_STATUS when the master detail form is opened in %3D mode via a hyperlink.
    I have tried using the p_session.get_value_as_varchar2 in the default value field of the CURR_APPROVSTAT item, but it generates errors on run.
    EX:
    Item CURR_APPROVSTAT
    default value field
    p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(
    p_block_name => 'DETAIL_BLOCK',
    p_attribute_name => 'APPROVAL_STATUS')
    Default Value type:
    Function returns varchar2
    on run, it generates error that p_session must be declared (I get the same error if I use portal.p_session... also).
    default value field
    select p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(p_block_name => 'DETAIL_BLOCK', p_attribute_name => 'APPROVAL_STATUS')from dual
    Default Value type:
    SQL returns varchar2
    on run, it generates and error that a right parenthesis is missing.
    I have also tried using the following in the Additional PL/SQL - before displaying form:
    p_session.set_value
    (p_block_name => 'DETAIL_BLOCK'
    ,p_attribute_name => 'CURR_APPROVSTAT'
    ,p_value => p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(
    p_block_name => 'DETAIL_BLOCK',
    p_attribute_name => 'APPROVAL_STATUS')
    on run, this generates the error identifier 'P_SESSION.GET_VALUE_AS_VARCHAR2' must be declared
    My questions are:
    1) is it possible to use the p_session.get_value_as_varchar2 in the default value field?
    2) If yes, then what if the proper syntax
    3) If no, can I set this value when the MD form opens from the additional pl/sql triggers, and if so, what is the syntax?
    any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    ARM

    In my detail block I have 10 rows displaying that may or may not have data after querying. To set the default value in the detail block, you have to set the index value of p_session.set_value. Since I don't know how many rows are already populated, I'm setting the default value to all 10 rows. Is there a better approach?
    Here's my code example, which I've placed in the additional PL/SQL section before displaying the form...
    DECLARE
    l_district_id VARCHAR2(7);
    BEGIN
    l_district_id := p_session.get_value_as_varchar2
    (p_block_name => 'MASTER_BLOCK',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_DISTRICT_ID');
    FOR i in 1 .. 10 LOOP
    p_session.set_value
    (p_block_name => 'DETAIL_BLOCK',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_DISTRICT_ID',
    p_value => TO_CHAR(l_district_id), p_index => i);
    END LOOP;
    END;

  • How to use FMS on OPCH field to query value on a field in PHC1 form?

    Hi All,
    I have a problem. I created a user defined field in the AP Invoice form (parent form-OPCH). Now I would like to use the formatted search to add a query to that field that will select a value from another field also on the same form but at the row level (child form-PCH1). It seems that this is not possible. Any suggestions?
    A general question for this: is their any way that I could use the formatted search to query value on an opening form that is inactive?
    Thanks
    Duc

    Hi Sampath Kumar devunuri,
    Thanks for your reply. It does not work. I have tried to searched through the forum about this topic and it seems that FMS will not work at row level. Not sure if there is any solution to overcome this.
    My query is for example: I want my UDF on OPCH form to capture the description of the first row in PCH1:
    Select $[$39.1.1]
    If I assign it to a UDF at row level it works perfectly.
    If I assign it to the Remark field on OPCH it still works.
    But if I assign it to a UDF at title level it does not (this is what I need)
    This may be because at title level the form name is OPCH which is different with the form name at row level: PCH1
    I cannot think if there is any way that I could set focus on PCH1 to get the value.

  • How to Use COLUMN NOPRINT - need to exclude one column from Select *

    Dear Friends,
    I need to exclude one column from a SELECT * query. Everytime the column data type is BLOB, I dont' want it to be part of my SELECT. After googling I found some info about NOPRINT but it doesn't seem to be working in my case. May be I am using it incorreclty.
    COLUMN FILE_DESC NOPRINT
    SELECT * FROM FILES;
    Where FILE_DESC is of BLOB datatype.Can I use it in my SELECT or it has to be used in Dynamic SQL? Is there any other option to achieve this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    COLUMN FILE_DESC NOPRINT
    affects all queries in the same SQL*Plus session (unless you cancel it with a COLUMN FILE_DESC PRINT command.)  It doesn't matter if those queries are static or dynamic.  As mentioned before, COLUMN is a SQL*Plus command.  If you using a different front end, then it may have a different way to hide specific output columns.
    Did you have a poroblem when you tried it?  Post a complete test script that the people who want to help you can use to re-create the problem and test their ideas.

  • Access af:table values from JavaScript array (for google maps task)

    Hi!
    I have JSP page with af:table where latitude and longitude for google maps are stored. I am using these tutorial [https://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/entry/integrating_google_maps_with_adf] and I know how to access latitude and longitude from output text (for one point). Now i need to do something similar with loop for all table rows. How can I achieve this?
    I have JavaScript code which uses Google Maps API and can display many points on one map. Also I have longitude and latitude data in af:table (bindings), each table row has one point. My task is to take data from af:table and pass it to JavaScript.
    May be it is better to use managed bean as you said. Firstly I will access binding data from managed bean. Then I have to pass this data to JavaScript method? Can you suggest some example? I have "Using JavaScript in ADF Faces Rich Client Applications"

    My table is there :
