How to use QM- Inspection setup in STD RMDATIND program in LSMW

Friends,
I am working on MM data conversion. I am using STD RMDATIND program foe this. I need to update fields in View Quality management, Inspection Type and Active check box. We could achieve this through Quality management -> Inspection Set up->click on New button. Here you can maintain the InspType and Active button. My problem is that I am not able to find the corresponding fields in program RMDATIND. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sujith,
By using RMDATIND Prog, u cannot update fields for Quality Management,
There is Stanadard Business Object for Inspection set up.
Business Object      BUS1001004   Material inspection control
Method                   SAVEREPLICA                 Replication of QM inspect
Message Type         MATQM                       Replication of QM inspect
Basic Type              MATQM01                     Replication of QM Inspect
You can update by using this BAPI.

The quantity is transferred from stock in quality inspection into unrestricted-use stock. Here you can post the quantity to another storage location.
You cannot use this movement type for QM-managed materials since transfer posting for these materials takes place via the usage decision.
Possible special stock indicators: E, K, O, Q

u2022 O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
u2022 E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock

i think u have created that dynamic selection screen in seperate program and calling to ur main program.instead of that u just create that synamic selection screen program as include program and include it in ur main program.
or u need to use set/get parameter id concept.

How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.

Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

How to use two ALV grids in a single program (pl read below for details)?

Please read thoroughly::
I have an ALV report using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
On the output of this report, when I click on a "change" button, a couple of columns should be made editable.
I achieved this by modifying the fieldcatalog and triggering the output with another REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
When I click on the back button of this second report, it is still taking me to the first one.
How to over come this?
Note:
I used custom containers etc but the default buttons on the container are not controllable. I added custom buttons but could not suppress the default ones. So I did not pursue this much even though this is more comfortable to use.
I am not able to get into the code in debug to see how the default buttons like COPY, INSERT ROW etc are working.
Can any body throw some inputs into this?

i am thinking you are using user_command and calling the second time ALV Grid if so check this.
form user_command using r_ucomm type sy-ucomm selfield type slis_selfield.
case r_ucomm.

I think all these classes serve the purpose of embracing the basic ones and are used specificalty in MM module.
If you want to create similar module pool program with nice expand/collapse buttons in relation to subscreens please refer the some tips [here|expand/collapse button functionality on module pool screen;
Also there are transactions like BIBS, DWDM which you can follow the examples from. I think SAP has covered all GUI controlls there so you can create really complex programs with various GUI controlls independently of module used for.
Of course you can still stick to classes you mentioned but I think the better is to learn some standard approach of creating such screens, then if you feel more advanced go for using module specific ones if you really need that.

I'm dreadfully stuck on this one exercise, and I could use some help figuring out how to properly call a Math method, store the variables, and print the results. How to Use Edit - Cut menu Command in my program

I want to call edit->cut menu action from my program, i have tried with textmodel->cut and also scrapsuite-> cut method, it works for normal text but i have a document with text from Word documents, when i cut the text from menu edit->cut it works properly, but when i tried to cut it from my code i get asserts like owneditem->getconnectedtotext() and the system crashes.can anybody guide me in this regard
