How to view LKM SQL

Newbie question:
I'm trying to execute an Oracle MERGE LKM (using db link). I consistently get "ORA-00999 invalid view name" errors when executing the interface.
I'd love to see the SQL ODI is generating along the way, but I am clueless about how to trace it.
Obviously, I haven't seen the right bit of documentation.
Help!

You are seeing an error, I assume in Operator. If you expand out the session execution tree, you get the steps, expand out the step to show the tasks of that step. when you double-click on one of the steps, you will see the SQL generated in the Description Tab, and the result in the Execution tab, along with any execution statistics (and and errors thrown)

  • How to view the sql query?

    hi,
how to view the sql query formed from the xml structure in the receiver jdbc?

You can view SAP Note at
    http://service.sap.com/notes
But you require SMP login ID for this which you should get from your company. The content of the notes are as follows:
    Reason and Prerequisites
You are looking for additional parameter settings. There are two possible reasons why a feature is available via the "additional parameters" table in the "advanced mode" section of the configuration, but not as documented parameter in the configuration UI itself:
Category 1: The parameter has been introduced for a patch or a SP upgrade where no UI upgrade and/or documentation upgrade was possible. In this case, the parameter will be moved to the UI and the documentation as soon as possible. The parameter in the "additional parameters" table will be deprecated after this move, but still be working. The parameter belongs to the supported adapter functionality and can be used in all, also productive, scenarios.
Category 2. The parameter has been introduced for testing purposes, proof-of-concept scenarios, as workaround or as pre-released functionality. In this case, the parameter may or may not be moved to the UI and documentation, and the functionality may be changed, replaced or removed. For this parameter category there is no guaranteed support and usage in productive scenarios is not supported.
When you want to use a parameter documented here, please be aware to which category it belongs!
    Solution
The following list shows all available parameters of category 1 or 2. Please note:
Parameter names are always case-sensitive! Parameter values may be case-sensitive, this is documented for each parameter.
Parameter names and values as documented below must be used always without quotaton marks ("), if not explicitly stated otherwise.
The default value of a parameter is always chosen that it does not change the standard functionality
    JDBC Receiver Adapter Parameters
    1. Parameter name: "logSQLStatement"
                  Parameter type: boolean
Parameter value: true for any string value, false only for empty string
Parameter value default: false (empty String)
                  Available with: SP9
                  Category: 2
                  Description:
When implementing a scenario with the JDBC receiver adapter, it may be helpful to see which SQL statement is generated by the JDBC adapter from the XI message content for error analysis. Before SP9, this can only be found in the trace of the JDBC adapter if trace level DEBUG is activated. With SP9, the generated SQL statement will be shown in the details page (audit protocol) of the message monitor for each message directly.
This should be used only during the test phase and not in productive scenarios.

  • How to view executed sql history?

I have encountered some strange errors in my productive database. I want to view the sql execution logs. but I don't know how to view it. is there any good methods to check the sql execution history?

The core dump trace file will have information you need for troubleshooting. Most of time including the SQL that caused the problem if it was caused by certain SQL.
Check your core dump destination. Core dump is not usual in Oracle operation, it's worth to submit a SR .

  • How to use LKM sql Incremetal update

    Hi ,
I am using ODI to intergrate the SQL server database to Oracle. I have created interface where it selects all the records and puts in to Staging area (Oracle). I want to have only daily incements to add to the staging stable (initial full load) and keep append only incrementals.
I am using LKM SQL to oracle and IKM oracle incremental update. when I run it is appending all the rows instead of increments. I have defined unique key also. but can't this work with duplicates . I have a date in the table. but the date will contain duplicates as it is a transactional data. I want to roleup using the date. I need only the increments to be loaded in staging area.
    help requested.
    Veer

    Hi,
I noticed this as well; the IKM compares the complete resultset of the flow in the Interface with the rows in the target-table. In case you have a datestamp (sysdate) in your flow, the resultsets will always be different.
What I did to overcome this is, is edit the IKM (make a duplicate first) and make sure that the check will not be done on the complete resultset, but only on the Unique Key columns.
For this, I have edited step 132 in the IKM and removed the code that generates the "minus select .... from ..."
    I hope this helps you.

  • How to view the sql queries generated by EJB (CMP)

    Hello,
    I'm using Oracle9iAS (9.0.2.1.0) Containers for J2EE (build 020827.1652) & Oracle 8.1.7 database.
I have a CMP that has about 400 fields and the corrsoponding table has about 800 fields. I'm able to call create and add a row in database.
Now when I call update method to set the remaining fields of this row (I get the proper instance by calling findByPrimaryKey()) I'm getting an exception ORA-00957 duplicate column name.
I'm using reflection to set all the fields by passing my update method a HashMap and setting those fields that this HashMap contains. And as HashMap cannot contain duplicate keys the possiblility of having duplicates is eliminated.
But why am I getting ORA-00957 duplicate column name.
Is there a way I can configure somehow to view what sql query is being generated by the OC4j container when its firing this query to update the database table.
Any help will be greatly appriciated.
    Vipin.

Install IronTrack SQL as described in the following link

    Hi Sivam,
You can definitely view the sql query.
Go to RSRT and give the report name. Then goto Execute+Debug and click on it.
A new window will open, there tick the box  Display SQL/BIA Query and the press on the ok button.
Finally click on execute. The Sql query will be displayed.

  • How do I create a view in SQL Server in Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop?

    Hi
I've got a SQL Server database set up using the internal SQL Server in Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop. I want to create a view (using tables with one to many relationships) but I don't
    know how to do it.
Where can I find a good tutorial on creating views in SQL Server in Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop? I think Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop doesn't have some view designer that
exists in the non-express version of Visual Studio (if I'm not mistaken). So I think I'd need a tutorial on how to do the actual SQL, unless there is some tool I don't know about.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
According to your description, if you install SQL Server SQL Server 2014 Express and SQL Server Manager Studio tools (SSMS), if you want to create a view, you can use SSMS. Then if you want to connect to and Diagram your SQL Express Database in Visual Studio
2013, you can attach the database file by using the .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Server in Visual Studio, and create a database diagram via expanding the “Database Diagrams” node.
For more information, there is similar issue about how to connect to and Diagram your SQL Express Database in Visual Studio 2012 , you can review the following article,
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/bethmassi/archive/2011/10/27/how-to-connect-to-and-diagram-your-sql-express-database-in-visual-studio-lightswitch.aspx.

  • How to create a view in sql workshop depending on an application item value

    Hello,
How coud I create a view in SQL worshop based on an application item value? For example select id, name
    from gg_provider
    where user = ' || :USER
So basically each user would have it's own view. But it does not work like that. I think when I use :USER then the database takes database user not the user logged in to apex application. How would be possible to use application user to create the view?
    Thank you very much.

    Instead of
    :APP_USER
    use
    v('APP_USER')

  • How to get the script of a table or view in SQL Developer?

    Dear friends/expert,
Could you tell me how to get the script for a view or a table easily in SQL Developer like pressing F4 in TOAD?
I found that I can press SHIFT+F4 for a view in SQL Developer and get the script of the view in Details Tab. But how to move the script to SQL worksheet to edit? It is very easy to do in TOAD.
And I didn't find a way to get the script for a table till now. Is there any way to do that?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Ning

    1. Although the team might put a lot of effort in keeping track on the forum, a lot of posts still go by without answer.
    2. If you have an enhancement request, log it at the announced SQL Developer Exchange, so others can vote to add weight on the issue. Be clear and detailed in the explanation.
    3. Given the structure of the application, I guess it won't be easy (maybe impossible) to add the functionality you are asking. Do you have a suggestion on how to access the info?
    4. If your request gets accepted, still another year or two may go by until the functionality gets added. For sure you'll be better off writing a user defined extension or report (querying DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL).
    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Hi experts, how to use open sql to read data from one " maintenance view"?

i want to use this part of data within report ,so how to use open sql statement to read data from one " maintenance view"?

    Hi
You can't use OPEN SQl statements to fetch data from maintenance view
You have to use only Database views
see the different types of views and the difference
The followings are different types of views:
    - Database View (SE11)
Database views are implement an inner join, that is, only records of the primary table (selected via the join operation) for which the corresponding records of the secondary tables also exist are fetched. Inconsistencies between primary and secondary table could, therefore, lead to a reduced selection set.
In database views, the join conditions can be formulated using equality relationships between any base fields. In the other types of view, they must be taken from existing foreign keys. That is, tables can only be collected in a maintenance or help view if they are linked to one another via foreign keys.
    - Help View ( SE54)
Help views are used to output additional information when the online help system is called.
When the F4 button is pressed for a screen field, a check is first made on whether a matchcode is defined for this field. If this is not the case, the help view is displayed in which the check table of the field is the primary table. Thus, for each table no more than one help view can be created, that is, a table can only be primary table in at most one help view.
    - Projection View
Projection views are used to suppress or mask certain fields in a table (projection), thus minimizing the number of interfaces. This means that only the data that is actually required is exchanged when the database is accessed.
A projection view can draw upon only one table. Selection conditions cannot be specified for projection views.
    - Maintenance View ( SE54 )
Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system.

If you want to see what functions there are, what the syntax is and arguments are, what the functions do, then refer to the Oracle® Database SQL Language Reference guide.

  • How to use views in sql script report?

    All all
Can any one tell how to use views in sql script report?

Most of the views are based on tables (or other views which are based on tables).
The view typically shows one org at a time based on the context that is set.
If you need records for all orgs, you need to use the underlying tables. Oracle typically names the tables with a _all suffix.
e.g. PO_HEADERS will show records for one org at a time. PO_HEADERS_ALL will show records for all orgs.
    Hope this answers your question,
