    Hi,
    I am new to SSIS. Can someone tell me how to access system variable in Script Component in SSIS using C# code.
    Thanks

    You can use the System.Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable(...) to read the variables. An example is here:

  • How to use System Variable SY_ROW in the Process Instruction Category

    Hi ,
    I want to assign a value of System variable SY_ROW to a Normal Variable in the Process Instruction Category and use it in the formula. Please help me with the Syntax in the Process Instruction Category to get the System Variable: SY_ROW value into a Variable.
    Thanks,
    SV

    Hello,
    You can use these variables in formulas or, for example, to pass on certain pieces of information to a function module. How the function called by the function module behaves depends on the type of information passed on.
    SY_ROW is used to view the current Table line.
    Please look into the below link for more details on syntax :

  • How to Find System Variables

    Hi All
    I need to Find the Hidden Variable i.e., System Variable in a Document like A/R Invoice,A/P Invoice etc
    how can we know the variable no.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi madhu,
    Usually, the variable number is the only thing you do know. You can go about in two way to find out to what field it relates to
    1. Use the System Variables .xls file to know the field description(not the name). Then open PLD, in a report that uses the same table, and browse through the fields until you find a field with the same description. That field list also indicates the field´s name.
    2. Query the table in question and browse through the columns till you find the desired field.
    If there is a more direct way, I also would like to find out.

  • How to view System.out.print() messages for adapters in OIM 9.0.3

    I have created an adaptor for OIM from a java jar file. When that adaptor executes after some updates on tables it produces some execptions/error.
    I can not see the details of these exceptions as I do not know where is the standard output located when adapter is executed via OIM.
    Where cen I see output from my code lines that contain: System.out.println()?

    I am not sure if logging is enabled as OIM was installed previously by another person - how can I check if it is enabled and how to use log4j in this case?

  • Problem in picking the system variable value in Calculation Script

    Hi All,
    We are using a Calculation Script to perform data export. And the target location where to crete the exported output file is given to the environment system variable.
    Now I am using this system variable in the calculation script as below:
    //ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
    SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
    DataExportLevel "ALL";
    DataExportOverwriteFile ON;
    Fix ( &CurrMiles, &CurrProj, &CurrVer,"No Project","No Version")
    DATAEXPORT "File" " " $DEXPORTPATH;
    ENDFIX
    Here "DEXPORTPATH" is the system variable
    I am creating this system variable from the batch script and the system variable value varies at the runtime.
    This calculation script works fine for first time and it picks the correct value from the system variable.
    But the problem occurs from next execution of calc script. Even if i update the system variable with other value, it picks only the last execution system variable value and it performs execution.
    Eg: Suppose for first execution system variable value is "D:\Bkup\PMV.txt"
    The calc script works fine with this.
    For next execution, system variable value is changed to "D:\Time\temp.txt"
    Now the calc script picks the system variable value as "D:\Bkup\PMV.txt"
    and performs execution which is wrong.
    Please help me on this issue how to handle system variables in calc scripts.
    Thanks in advance

    SwathiAs of my knowledge system variables will not update immediately...you need to log off the session after changing the value.
    Update the system variable..
    Log off from the session..
    And Re-login with the same username ....and check...

  • Getting system Variables

    Hi. I'm creating jsp page, which uses ssl connection. I want to print information of user logged into page, but I can't understand - how to get system variables in JSP page?
    directory httpd.conf file:
    <Files ~ "\.(cgi|shtml|php)$">
    SSLOptions StdEnvVars ExportCertData
    </Files>
    # ExportCertData
    When this option is enabled, additional CGI/SSI environment variables are created: SSL_SERVER_CERT, SSL_CLIENT_CERT and SSL_CLIENT_CERT_CHAINn (with n = 0,1,2,..). These contain the PEM-encoded X.509 Certificates of server and client for the current HTTPS connection and can be used by CGI scripts for deeper Certificate checking. Additionally all other certificates of the client certificate chain are provided, too. This bloats up the environment a little bit which is why you have to use this option to enable it on demand.
    For example, I want to get SSL_CLIENT_CERT variable. How should I do it?

    Did you tried
    System.getProperty("");
    Just check if it works for you.

  • How to point the classpath to "CLASSPATH" system variable?

    Hi Experts!
    I'm trying to create a web dynpro application for sending a simple email using the tutorial that can be found here.
    I was actually able to make the program work using Java Swing, but not in my web dynpro implementation.
    According to the tutorial, the jar files should be located at "CLASSPATH" system variables to make things work.
    When I tried printing the URL of the classpath of the web dynpro app, it is pointing to a different location from what I have defined in the system.
    I have created the "CLASSPATH" system variable at "C:\CLASSPATH\lib" with the jar files on it. Here's the correct classpath using my swing application:
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-beanutils-1.8.3.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-codec-1.4.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-collections-3.2.1.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-configuration-1.7.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-digester-1.8.1.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-httpclient-3.1.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-lang-2.6.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/commons-logging-1.1.1.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/ewsjavaapi-1.1.5.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/javamail-ews-bridge-0.0.8.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/jcifs-1.3.15.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/mail-1.4.jar
    /C:/CLASSPATH/lib/slf4j-api-1.6.4.jar
    But the web dynpro app is pointing at different directories.
    @Printing project classpath...
    /E:/usr/sap/GOS/J03/exe/jstart71.jar
    /E:/usr/sap/GOS/J03/exe/sapjvm_5/lib/jvmx.jar
    /E:/usr/sap/GOS/J03/exe/sapjvm_5/lib/jvmx_tools.jar

    /E:/usr/sap/GOS/J03/j2ee/cluster/bin/boot/memoryanalyzer.jar
    This is the code I used for printing the classpath:
    ClassLoader cl = ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader();
    URL[] urls = ((URLClassLoader) cl).getURLs();
    for (URL url : urls) {
        System.out.println(url.getFile());
    How can I set the correct classpath to the "CLASSPATH" system variable?

    Erwin,
    You wil need to add the jar files to a Library DC and then reference them in your Web Dynpro app.
    Take a look at this tutorial
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/006a6229-b1ed-2e10-0c8c-cc5673cf268f?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true

  • How can i view the variables of the session memory

    Hi experts
       How can i view the variables of the session memory.Such as I want display the variables of memory which id is 'BULRN' in ABAP debug.
    In program i can use import from memory id visit the momery of session,but i don't know the name of variables which store in momery of my session.

    Its not possible to view in the debug mode..
    SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access. You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session, or to pass data from one session to another. Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters). These parameters can be set either for a particular user or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement. Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement. The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens
    SAP global memory retains field value through out session.
    set parameter id 'MAT' field v_matnr.
    get parameter id 'MAT' field v_matnr.
    They are stored in table TPARA.
    ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements. Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data
    to a program which you are calling, the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made. The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program. The program called can then read from the ABAP memory. If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse.
    ABAP memory is temporary and values are retained in same LUW.
    export itab to memory id 'TEST'.
    import itab from memory Id 'TEST'.
    Here itab should be declared of same type and length.

  • How to get system Environment variable?

    How to get system Environment variable without using jni?
    just like "JAVA_HOME" or "PATH"...
    Any reply is help to me!! :-)

    Thx for your reply...
    I get it!!!
    Read environment variables from an application
    Start the JVM with the "-D" switch to pass properties to the application and read them with the System.getProperty() method. SET myvar=Hello world
    SET myothervar=nothing
    java -Dmyvar="%myvar%" -Dmyothervar="%myothervar%" myClass
    then in myClass String myvar = System.getProperty("myvar");
    String myothervar = System.getProperty("myothervar");
    This is useful when using a JAVA program as a CGI.
    (DOS bat file acting as a CGI) java -DREQUEST_METHOD="%REQUEST_METHOD%"
    -DQUERY_STRING="%QUERY_STRING%"
    javaCGI
    If you don't know in advance, the name of the variable to be passed to the JVM, then there is no 100% Java way to retrieve them.
    NOTE: JDK1.5 provides a way to achieve this, see this HowTo.
    One approach (not the easiest one), is to use a JNI call to fetch the variables, see this HowTo.
    A more low-tech way, is to launch the appropriate call to the operating system and capture the output. The following snippet puts all environment variables in a Properties class and display the value the TEMP variable. import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class ReadEnv {
    public static Properties getEnvVars() throws Throwable {
    Process p = null;
    Properties envVars = new Properties();
    Runtime r = Runtime.getRuntime();
    String OS = System.getProperty("os.name").toLowerCase();
    // System.out.println(OS);
    if (OS.indexOf("windows 9") > -1) {
    p = r.exec( "command.com /c set" );
    else if ( (OS.indexOf("nt") > -1)
    || (OS.indexOf("windows 2000") > -1 )
    || (OS.indexOf("windows xp") > -1) ) {
    // thanks to JuanFran for the xp fix!
    p = r.exec( "cmd.exe /c set" );
    else {
    // our last hope, we assume Unix (thanks to H. Ware for the fix)
    p = r.exec( "env" );
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader
    ( new InputStreamReader( p.getInputStream() ) );
    String line;
    while( (line = br.readLine()) != null ) {
    int idx = line.indexOf( '=' );
    String key = line.substring( 0, idx );
    String value = line.substring( idx+1 );
    envVars.setProperty( key, value );
    // System.out.println( key + " = " + value );
    return envVars;
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    try {
    Properties p = ReadEnv.getEnvVars();
    System.out.println("the current value of TEMP is : " +
    p.getProperty("TEMP"));
    catch (Throwable e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    Thanks to W.Rijnders for the W2K fix.
    An update from Van Ly :
    I found that, on Windows 2003 server, the property value for "os.name" is actually "windows 2003." So either that has to be added to the bunch of tests or just relax the comparison strings a bit: else if ( (OS.indexOf("nt") > -1)
    || (OS.indexOf("windows 2000") > -1 )
    || (OS.indexOf("windows 2003") > -1 ) // works but is quite specific to 2003
    || (OS.indexOf("windows xp") > -1) ) {
    else if ( (OS.indexOf("nt") > -1)
    || (OS.indexOf("windows 20") > -1 ) // probably is better since no other OS would return "windows" anyway
    || (OS.indexOf("windows xp") > -1) ) {
    I started with "windows 200" but thought "what the hell" and made it "windows 20" to lengthen its longivity. You could push it further and use "windows 2," I suppose. The only thing to watch out for is to not overlap with "windows 9."
    On Windows, pre-JDK 1.2 JVM has trouble reading the Output stream directly from the SET command, it never returns. Here 2 ways to bypass this behaviour.
    First, instead of calling directly the SET command, we use a BAT file, after the SET command we print a known string. Then, in Java, when we read this known string, we exit from loop. [env.bat]
    @set
    @echo **end
    [java]
    if (OS.indexOf("windows") > -1) {
    p = r.exec( "env.bat" );
    while( (line = br.readLine()) != null ) {
    if (line.indexOf("**end")>-1) break;
    int idx = line.indexOf( '=' );
    String key = line.substring( 0, idx );
    String value = line.substring( idx+1 );
    hash.put( key, value );
    System.out.println( key + " = " + value );
    The other solution is to send the result of the SET command to file and then read the file from Java. ...
    if (OS.indexOf("windows 9") > -1) {
    p = r.exec( "command.com /c set > envvar.txt" );
    else if ( (OS.indexOf("nt") > -1)
    || (OS.indexOf("windows 2000") > -1
    || (OS.indexOf("windows xp") > -1) ) {
    // thanks to JuanFran for the xp fix!
    p = r.exec( "cmd.exe /c set > envvar.txt" );
    // then read back the file
    Properties p = new Properties();
    p.load(new FileInputStream("envvar.txt"));
    Thanks to JP Daviau
    // UNIX
    public Properties getEnvironment() throws java.io.IOException {
    Properties env = new Properties();
    env.load(Runtime.getRuntime().exec("env").getInputStream());
    return env;
    Properties env = getEnvironment();
    String myEnvVar = env.get("MYENV_VAR");
    To read only one variable : // NT version , adaptation for other OS is left as an exercise...
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /c echo %MYVAR%");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader
    ( new InputStreamReader( p.getInputStream() ) );
    String myvar = br.readLine();
    System.out.println(myvar);
    Java's System properties contains some useful informations about the environment, for example, the TEMP and PATH environment variables (on Windows). public class ShowSome {
    public static void main(String args[]){
    System.out.println("TEMP : " + System.getProperty("java.io.tmpdir"));
    System.out.println("PATH : " + System.getProperty("java.library.path"));
    System.out.println("CLASSPATH : " + System.getProperty("java.class.path"));
    System.out.println("SYSTEM DIR : " +
    System.getProperty("user.home")); // ex. c:\windows on Win9x system
    System.out.println("CURRENT DIR: " + System.getProperty("user.dir"));
    Here some tips from H. Ware about the PATH on different OS.
    PATH is not quite the same as library path. In unixes, they are completely different---the libraries typically have their own directories. System.out.println("the current value of PATH is: {" +
    p.getProperty("PATH")+"}");
    System.out.println("LIBPATH: {" +
    System.getProperty("java.library.path")+"}");
    gives the current value of PATH is:
    {/home/hware/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/xpg4/bin:/opt/SUNWspro/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:
    /usr/ucb:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/hware/linux-bin:/usr/openwin/bin/:/usr/games/:

    on my linux workstation. (java added all those execpt /lib and /usr/lib). But these two lines aren't the same on window either:
