How to view what is using up the temporary tablespace
Hi all
I am running into a problem - my temporary tablespace is being completely used up.
How would i find out what is using up this? Technically it has enough space to function properly but now we are getting 0 bytes free.
thanks!
There is nothing wrong if a temporary tablespace appears as full. It is very normal. I
For more information about temporary tablespace usage query V$SORT_USAGE and V$SORT_SEGMENT .

How to change what is used for the condition base value
I have a new condition type that I want to always get its conditon base value from a list price total in the pricing procedure.
Do I need to do this in a routine? If yes, can you give more details on what should be in the routine.
ThanksThe new condition(ZXXX) which should always have the base value amount of the list price -
Settings
ZXXX in transaction v/06- when defining this condition you have a field under Master data - to use it as reference condition type
over here you can mention the condition for the list price. than it should work.
Hope this helps

How-to trigger a process chain using ABAP?
Re: scheduling process chain 3 specific times a day
NOTE: If you want to trigger the process chain from R/3, there are many examples in this forum. However, since the search function is not working now, I suggest you look at OSS Note 135637. This will show you how to do it also.
Hope this helps.
concerning to sm64 ..
Triggering events manually ...
Events let you start background jobs when particular changes in the R/3 System take place. When an event occurs, the background processing system starts all jobs that were scheduled to wait for that event.
example : JOB_OPEN to create a background job..
When scheduling a background job, you can specify it to start "after event".
If you do so, you'll have to create an event in SM62.
If a job is scheduled after event event and you trigger the event with SM64, the job will start.
Events can be raised by external systems in SAP by sending a command to a SAP application server. You can also raise event in any program using function mosule BP_EVENT_RAISE.
Reward if helpful.

I am participating in an online class whose website uses Microsoft Content Viewer to view the class content. The browser opens a new page, but nothing is there. At the top of the tab it says Microsoft Content Viewer, and nothing else. Can anyone tell me how to view my course using Firefox? I would prefer not to use IE, but it works there.
When originally creating the pdf, you would need to choose another pdf conversion setting. In Word if you use the pdf menu, change your settings there: Adobe PDF > Change Conversion Settings. I would use High Quality Print instead. If you use the File > Print method, click the Properties button next to the Adobe PDF printer selection.
For your already created form, you can change the file so your users will not encounter issues. In Acrobat 9, which hopefully is similar in process to 8: Advanced > Preflight > Profile tab > PDF/A compliance > Remove PDF/A information.(You'll have to unsecure your form first).
You can read about PDF/A files in the Help. -
How to view what session is causing heavy load
Hi,
currently I was tasked to view what is wrong with the production server, there's some processing that is causing heavy usage.
May I know how should I go about investigating this?
thanks
more precisely which machine, which sid, what query is causing heavy load on the db server?
thanksHi,
Better generate and statspack/AWR and analyse the report to find queries which are causing heavy load for the time period in which database consuming high CPU. You can use top command from OS level to check the process are consuming heavy load.

How to view what you have bought on a iTunes voucher
how to view what youhaverecently bought using an iTunes voucher
You can view your account's purchase history via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes - there should be a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link/button to its right. Selecting a purchase (by clicking the arrow to its left) should show the purchase's details, including how it was billed (e.g. 'Store Credit').
On your iPad you can view a cut-down version (the last 90 days purchases and prices, not how they were billed) via http://reportaproblem.apple.com/ -

How to view alertlog contents using SQL?
Hi,
Why don't you use the OEM Database Console ?? Now, in order to view the contents of the alert log file using a SELECT statement, you need to create a external table:
create or replace

CREATE table alert_log_external

ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL
(TYPE oracle_loader

What to use for the events of 2 keys pressed simultaneously?
Question:
What to use for the events of 2 keys pressed simultaneously? As the key listener has limited functionality, in this case, I need something that can act to two events (see below)
Goal
1. A user presses right and up at the same time
2. Program responds to this event changing BOTH the vertical and horizontal speeds of the player
Problem
I currently have a key listener to do this, using key pressed, however, it only acts to up OR right at one point in time. So the user can only increase his or her vertical speed; or horizontal speed at one point in time. Instead of increasing them both.
Example
Here is an example of the game: http://www.kongregate.com/games/MINDistortion/bubbles-2DarrylBurke wrote:
I don't know whether there's a better way (or whether this will work as expected), but I would try setting a boolean flag on keyPressed and reset the flag on keyReleased, for each key of interest. To compute the x / y movements, I would check the state of all flags.
dbI was thinking about your answer a few nights ago. And I was like, wait... it works! I thought, at first (as I replied before) that it wouldn't work, but I refract what I said. Its actually a very simple solution. And I apologize for questioning your solution previously. Thanks so much!
P.S. I tested it out. Works like a charm.
-Create booleans to handle each key
-Set to true on press
-Set to false on release
-Check and update in separate thread accordingly -
What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespac
The IMPDP command create so manay errors. But the EXAMPLE tablespace is transported to the target database successfully. It seems that the transported tablespace is no difference with the source tablespace.
Why create so many errors?
How to avoid these errors?

Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?

How do i know if my query using SORT_AREA_SIZE or temporary tablespace ?
Good Morning Everyone !
My DB version is 10.2.0.1
I have large table exactly 3 million records.
SQL> select count(*) from tab1;
COUNT(*)
300000
SQL> select * from tab1 order by no DESC;
sorting ... in process
300000 rows selected.
in Terminal 2 : I tried to find sorting details - ( No rows selected - why ? )
SQL> select USERNAME , USER , TABLESPACE , SQL_ID from v$tempseg_usage ;
no rows selected
SQL> /
no rows selected
When i google i have seen this ;
If Oracle cannot do the sort in memory (SORT_AREA_SIZE initialisation parameter), space will be allocated in a temporary tablespace for doing the sort operation.
REF_LINK : TEMPORARY Tablespaces and TEMPFILES | Oracle FAQ
MY DOUBT QUESTION : How do i know if my query using SORT_AREA_SIZE or temporary tablespace ?
Thanks in advance.@ JohnWatson
I have seen some articles from ORA - FAQ. Good.
SQL> select USERNAME , USER , TABLESPACE , SQL_ID from v$tempseg_usage;
USERNAME USER TABLESPACE SQL_ID
SCOTT SYS TEMP fh9vqgyd6m0d1
PGA management means that sorting only 300000 rows may well occur in memory
Is this (3 million rows) - standard value for 10g version ?
Thanks JohnWatson -
How to find the temporary tablespace of the database?
How to find the temporary tablespace of the database?
noooo I don't want to try it myself without a GURU telling if it can be done.
i'd rather spend an hour posting on the forum and waiting for a response then
spend 30seconds logging in to my database and running an SQL query. -
Clear the temporary tablespace
Dear All,
I've created a database in 10G (10.2.0). But currently running with a space problem in temporary tablespace. My database in 365X24 hrs. in such situation how to clear the temporary tablespace by keeping the database open for future operation.Granting privileges to a role is not necessary either ETC however everybody grants privs. to a role and roles are granted to users. When you do not do that way, you will get confused.
What i ment with necessary is this. I tried to describe it but you don't want to understand i guess.
I am not feel offended but Paul M. is an Oracle ACE member and he can reply to me. He asked me the question and i answered.
As you can see it from above, i posted that it's not necessary. What i want to say is an useful fact. -
Can i change the temporary tablespace for schemas during the transactions??
In My Prod database some of the tablespaces assigned system as Temporary tablespace. I want to change the temporary tablespace for these schemas and the default temporary tablespace of the database.
Can I make this change while the users are accessing the database. Is there any impact If i make this change while the transactions are running.
Below is the change i want to do........
1. Change the users for SYSTEM to TEMP in the temporary tablespace by executing the following SQL
statements:
alter user SYSTEM temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user SYS temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user AD_MONITOR temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter use SI_INFORMTN_SCHEMA temporary tablespace TEMP;

alter user DIP temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user OUTLN temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user ANONYMOUS temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user ORDSYS temporary tablespace TEMP;
alter user MDDATA temporary tablespace TEMP;
2. Set the default temporary tablespace to TEMP by executing the following SQL statement:
