How to work/ apply a process on multiple selected files ?

Hello,
I want to write abap code which get file information about all the selected files in the cv04n search page. What is happening now is that even if i select multiple files, and execute my abap program it is only executed once, i want a way to get all the selected files and execute the abap program ?
any ideas ?

if u r using select-options in selection screen...
then in select statement u have to use like...
select-options: so_doknr for draw-doknr.
select doknr dokst from draw into table i_draw where doknr in so_doknr.

I'm using RH9 for help projects originally created with RoboHelp X5. When I generate .chm, roughly half of the pages lose their .css styles (font changes, background color disappears etc.). This can be cured by opening the topic in RH via Project Manager, then right-clicking and selecting "Properties". In the Appearance tab I re-select necessary Style Sheet (although it is already selected - I select some other one and then back the one I need, then 'Apply' button becomes active), and click OK. After that I save the topic and regenerate .chm. Only after that the topic looks good in the .chm. The problem is that this procedure needs to be applied to every single topic file that is displayed incorrectly. If I don't open the topic before I click 'Properties' and save it after, it doesnt't work. If I select multiple topics in the Topic List view and click 'Properties, it doesn't work either. I have several thousand topics in the project and I can't say which ones need to be repaired before I build .chms.
Is there a faster solution to this problem than processing all files manually?

Perhaps check the code for a problem topic (outside Robohelp) and see if the stylesheet reference has type="text/css". If not, you could try running a search and replace to add that to the link reference. Not sure if this occurs in RH9, but not hard to check.

You can't but you can copy the adjustments made on one photo and apply/paste it onto another by:
1 - Control (right)-clicking one the edited photo in the Edit mode and selecting Copy Adjustsments
2 - Control-clicking on the next photo and selecting Paste Adjustments.

how do i take one layer with multiple selections and make those selections their own layer?

Yes sir. It w was really hard to explain. It is discontiguous segments that are separated by transparent areas. And I want those non transparent areas to be on their own layer. I have a photo shop file that has a bunch of buttons on them and they are on a transparent background. It is one layer. I want to select all the buttons and put them on their own layers. I can do this manually by selecting a button and cmd Just to a new layer, but when I have 200 buttons it is a daunting task.

How would you apply different calibrations to multiple channels

I'm attempting to apply calibration data to multiple channels. The calibrations could have been done at different times for different channels and could be using different fits. I think I have a solution for just applying the calibration information to one channel. I'm posting the solution for one channel in this post. In the next post I will include the multi-channel problem I'm working on. I had to add txt onto the initial file in order to post this.

Thanks for the links John. I just logged on to post my working solution so I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet.
I’ve been working on this problem and have come up with the below attachment. I believe the logic is correct, but do not know if this is the most efficient way of doing this. I start by reading the calibration information in my ini file for only the channels that I am collecting data for. This is accomplished by the case structure enclosed in the for loop. The calibration values are stored as variables so I don’t have to read them with each data point I collect. I then start the data collection within my while loop. As I collect the data I pass it through a for loop where I apply the calibration curve to it and pull the calibration variables from the 2nd case structure. I’m using a for loop for this so I can index the wave files and apply the correct calibration information to each one. The channels and sections will be inputs to this vi from the choose channel vi.
John I don’t know if this is better or worse than what you are suggesting. I will read the links you sent me.
Does anybody have any comments on what I’ve put together?

How do i apply one gradient across multiple live paint objects??

I need to apply a single gradient acros a number of live paint objects but am finding it annoyingly hard to find a way. I know that normally, to apply a gradient across multiple objects, you would need to make them all into one compound path but does this apply to live paint groups in any way?? Can what i need to achieve actually be done??

1. With the Live Paint selection tool, shift-select those shapes you want to unify with a gradient.
2. Fill this (multi-shape) selection with your gradient. Now each shape is filled separately.
3. With the gradient tool, drag across all of the selected shapes.

How can I apply an image adjustment to all files in a folder?

How do I apply an edit to every file in a folder? Every time I need to do this, I end up flailing around for 10 minutes before I can finally get it to work. Or, sometimes I give up and manually paste the copied settings to each file one at a time. It seems a no-brainer that "copy settings" followed by "paste settings" to all files selected would do the trick. Or "copy settings" foillowed by "Sync settings." But it doesn't work. What am I missing?

How do I script a listbox so multiple selections can be recognized?

I have a pdf project that lets the user make selections from a listbox, and then those selections determine which fields on the page are shown or hidden. I've made sure the listbox allows for multiple selections but I can't get the scripting to recognize and show multiple fields. So far it only works when one item is selected. How do I make it so when the user selects multiple entries that it will actually cause multiple fields to show?
I've included file to show what I've gotten done so far.

but union will not work because the result sets datatypes are not identical so how to go about this ?

You have to CAST or CONVERT (or implicitly convert) the columns to the same datatype. You must find a datatype that both columns can be converted to without error. In your example I'm guessing id is an int and name is a varchar or nvarchar.
Since you didn't convert the datatypes, SQL will use its data precedence rules and attempt to convert name to an int. If any row contains a row that has a value in name that cannot be converted to an int, you will get an error. The solution is
to force SQL to convert the int to varchar. So you want something like
select cast(id as varchar(12)) from tableA
union
select name from tableb
If the datatypes are something other that int or varchar, you must find a compatable datatype and then convert one (or both) of the columns to that datatype.

How to create a swatch library from multiple png files?

I am having a difficult time trying to create a new swatch libray of patterns from multiple png files. The way I am doing this is very slow and repetitive and seems silly for a tool as advanced as the latest CC suite including illustrator.
What it seems I must do is open all the png files in Illustrator, creating multiple workspaces, drag one png file into the swatch window, then save that window as a library, close the existing window to reveal the next png file, open the user library I just created, drag the next image into the currently active swatch window, then drag the previous swatch/s from the user library into the current active swatch window, resave and replace the user defined swatch library (now with two images in there)fromthe updated current active swatch panel/window, close the existing workspace to reveal the next image file, and then repeat the process again, slowly building the user defined swatch library up by adding one image at a time and then adding back into the Swatch panel the previously built up library of swatches again one at at time. (you can select all from the existing user defined library and drag over into swatch panel, but this creates at least one duplicate on each cycle for as soon as you click on the first swatch in the library, it adds itto the current swatch panel and then when you select all swatches to drag across it includes the first swatch and copies it again)
This is a very slow process to build up a swatch library. For some reason you cannot drag swatches directly into the user defined library you have created, only into the active swatch window for each workspace. I searched the web and forums for answers but could find none. There must be an easier way, just can't find it.
Ideally, the best option would be a swatch window option that allows the import directly from a list of selected files in the finder.
Any ideas out there?

Thank you for responding, however I am not exactly clear on what you mean by "libraries are plain AI files". For example, I cannot find a file with the same name as my user defined library name that I have created. I can find the preinstalled swatches listed under Adobe Application Support... Library... Swatches, but a user defined folder is not present and the library sets that I have already created are not visible. I have tried searcing my Mac for a (name).ase file and still no luck (at least for the name I was looking for). I can open the user defined library from the Swatch library icon on the bottom left of the Swatch panel, but when I open this I cannot drag and drop add new swatches directly to this library. As stated above, I have to add each pattern, one at at time to the normal swatch panel, then add back the previous ones I have saved from the user defined library to the swatch panel and then save threm all as an updated user defined library. Thus by repeating this process, it builds up the user defined library one at a time.
I am using Illustrator CC if this makes a difference.

VF31 does have multiple selection option for Billing document, at least in my world (4.7).

Hello everyone. I am stuck on how to use JList's ensureIndexIsVisible() method and to also allow multiple rows in the list to be selected. Currently, when I begin typing a number stored in the list (i.e. 10001) the focus will go to that row; however, when I press the CTRL key and begin typing another number (i.e. 30001) the focus never goes to the new row. I have a suspicion that I need to cancel out the CTRL key somehow when typing the numbers but also need to keep the knowledge that the CTRL key is pressed to allow for multiple selection.
