How to work with PDF forms filled up by the user?

I would appreciate any help regrading work with PDF Forms.
I present a PDF form to users with several fields that they need to fill up.
My problem is to receive the values of these fields back.
In PDF forms you can add a "Submit" button that sends the fields to a given servlet.
That, however, takes me out of my session and out of JSF navigation model.
I can't find a way to go back.
The PDF form is shown in an iframe, so Java Script outside of the iframe cannot know about the "Submit" button action.

and specify fields in required format, later run the program RPCEDTU0.wat is the program for indian payroll?

Dears list members, there is a known issue with PDF forms filled in Preview: the fields do not show properly in Adobe Acrobat. How can this issue be solved? Preview: Working with PDF Forms

Hi all,
We had a faculty member (using a mac and preview) edit one of our PDF form docs (created using Acrobat Professional 8). The problem we have noticed is if the user fills out each field using Preview, then saves the document (PDF again) and sends to us her data has disappeared when we open it in Adobe Reader or Professional. the funny thing is...if you click in (for example) field 1 the data shows. But, as soon as you remove focus from that field it disappears again.
So, in testing this. If you open the document back in Preview the data is there. Again, this only happens if the form is filled out using Preview. Any ideas - I've seen this problem around the web, but no solutions.

I don't know that there -is- a fix; it's a limitation of Preview, Acrobat Reader, etc. (With Reader, you'll actually get a warning message to the effect 'You won't be able to save a completed copy of this form on your computer ...')
Your user can use the print dialog to save the completed form as a PDF, if that'll work in your application.

How to work with standard forms

hi all,
when i execute the print programs for standard forms , it is not giving output?
i hv modified form MEDRUCK (ex: uploaded LOGO)
can i create a new program or modify a standard program for the form.

Hi Praveen,
If u want to change the layout of the standard form, copy the form and modify the layout. Depending on the layout, if there are any subsequent changes to be made in the print program. Then modify the copied program. We can assign this new program to the copied form using NACE.
Secondly, we cant execute a print program. In case u want to test the layout/program for MEDRUCK, go to ME23n and check the print preview from there.

Photo or scan input into a PDF form using Camera by the user

If it hasn't already been done can I request a thought to creating a tool that requests the camera (or scanner) to take a image of a device's serial number or compliance plate or even someone portrait then input's into a form, and needs to be IOS, ANDROID or PC Compatable ?
Had a look and there is some HTML that says it opens a cam but doesn't seem to be able to add this into PDF buttons (probably me!) so if any one has some thought in an "Action" or create some java that could create this tool it would be very handy enhancement for inputting to PDF documents ...

As per my understanding, you are using Acrobat X and want to add images directly into the PD document (correct me if I am wrong, please).
If so, then you can follow the steps given below:
1. Go to Tools > Content > Edit Object Tool
2. Right-click the page and choose Place Image
3. Choose any of these image formats: bmp, jpeg, gif, pcx, png, jpeg2000 or tiff
4. Select an image file and click open.
A copy of an image file appears on the PDF page with the same resolution as the original one.

when i'm executing WDA with PDF form i'm getting the following error message.
i've checked for Reader credential properties from Basis, they say evething is okay.

When you tried other WDAs with PDFs, where they interactive PDFs? The reader rights are only needed for interactive PDFs.

That error message would sure to seem to point that the credentials are not accessible to the user that ADS webservice call is being made by. That would certainly seem to me to point to a configuration problem at the Basis level.

Hi Rajesh,
Development Component : The projects(say WebDynpro) are by default private. i.e. the components inside a project are not accesible from another project. To make them as public, so that it can be shared, we are creating Development Components.
Scenario we use DC's : We use them in distributed computing, where a product will be developed by a team of members.
Know the hierarchy:
> A product may have as many as Software Components.
> A Software Component may have as many as Development Components.
> A Development Component is the smallest building block in the hierarchy.

If there are Acrobat PDF form fields, not jus a space for a form field, then you will have to add them. It would be better to ask the provider of the form to add the fields. If you cannot add the fields, then you can use the add text feature.
Have you looked in the "Tools" panel for the "Forms" category?

Win7 64-bit PDF Preview works- except with PDF Forms?

I have Win7 64-bit with Adobe Acrobat X Standard installed. I receive PDFs as attachments in Outlook 2010, and for the most part, the PDF preview works fine. Downloaded PDFs that I have in a folder with the Preview Pane work fine as well. However with PDF forms, which have cells that you can manually fill in, i.e. name, hire date, etc. I receive an error "Please wait, If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document." This happens in both Outlook 2010, and the Windows Explorer preview pane panel. The attached website does not fix my issue as the registry key is correct. Any ideas? The DIAdem PDF output is not compatible with Windows 7 (DIAdem 11.1 was released in July 2009, Windows 7 was made available in October 2009). The DIAdem R&D department is currently working on a fix to add this functionality under Windows 7. We are working to provide a solution as soon as possible and will make the release of the Service Pack known here on the forum as soon as it is available.

I am trying to add approvals to a pdf I created . I am trying to add approvals such that
once the form is filled up by the user and emailed to the concerned person (admin) , they approve the form , this action inturn sends the pdf to the next person who has to approve it and so such that the pdf file is "approved" when all approvers has put their approvals on it nd then the form gets sent back to the admin.
Ive been trying various ways to get this done,
any help wil be much appreciated , maybe its a simple fix and im missing something , but im very new to live cycle and have only designed basic forms so far.

How to make a pdf (form) accessible for reader in Adobe Acrobat x pro?

Hi guys, i have bit of a problem here as i am new to the Acrobat pro X
Using Acrobat pro 9 i always could save a LiveCycle pdf form with permission to fill and save as a reader user. now i have upgraded to cs6 and i have no clue how to do that anymore. The half of the options are gone and i can't access the older Acrobat pro anymore.
Does anyone know how to save a pdf form using Acrobat X for adobe reader users giving permission to read and save my pdf files?

For Acrobat X go to File-> Save as->Reader Extended PDF
This will embed the reader extended rights in PDF.
