How to write xml from odi model directly to XMLType field in database?

I've created xml model and populated it with data.
How can I save it directly to the XMLType field in Oracle 10g database?

You only have the option of all or nothing, you don't have the option of writing one file for each of the root elements.

  • How to write XML with attributes to a table in Oracle?

I tried to find solutions over the internet. Some of the stuff I looked at:https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2182669 http://www.club-oracle.com/forums/how-to-insert-data-from-xml-to-table-t2845/
In all these cases, the solution considers XML structure with only nodes and child nodes but not attributes. In fact, one of the solutions suggests transforming the XML into a canonical form with only nodes w/o attributes.
This is a sample of xml structure I am working with:
    Sample XML
    <rep type="P" title="P List"> <as> <a id="3" /> <a id="4" /> </as> </rep>
I am working with oracle client 11.2 and SQL developer
My question is: how to write XML data into a table with attributes also as column values, beside the nodes?

My question is: how to write XML data into a table with attributes also as column values, beside the nodes
The question you should be asking is : "how do I access attributes in the XPath language?"
and the answer to that is easily found in any XPath tutorial you may find over the Internet, it is not related to Oracle in particular.
Short answer : you use an "attribute::" axis before the attribute name, or more commonly a "@", e.g. @type, @id etc.
Using the method described in the first link, something like this will extract the root attributes :
    SELECT x.*
    FROM XMLTable(
           '/rep'
           passing <xmltype variable/column goes here>
           columns type  varchar2(1)  path '@type'
                 , title varchar2(30) path '@title'
    ) x ;
For deeper levels, use additional XMLTable calls as described in the mentioned post.

  • How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

    Hi,
We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
    return the result to FLEX
We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
Any help will be very much appreciated!

  • How to select data from a table using a date field in the where condition?

How to select data from a table using a date field in the where condition?
    For eg:
data itab like equk occurs 0 with header line.
select * from equk into table itab where werks = 'C001'
                                                      and bdatu = '31129999'.
    thanks.

    Hi Ramesh,
Specify the date format as YYYYMMDD in where condition.
Dates are internally stored in SAP as YYYYMMDD only.
Change your date format in WHERE condition as follows.
data itab like equk occurs 0 with header line.
select * from equk into table itab where werks = 'C001'
    and bdatu = <b>'99991231'.</b>
I doubt check your data base table EQUK on this date for the existince of data.
Otherwise, just change the conidition on BDATU like below to see all entries prior to this date.
data itab like equk occurs 0 with header line.
select * from equk into table itab where werks = 'C001'
    and <b> bdatu <= '99991231'.</b>

  • How to delete/mark obsolete database objects from ODI model?

    Hi,
ODI never deletes objects while reverse engineering.
So is it way to automate deletion or marking obsolete database objects (dropped or renamed fields, constraints) from an ODI model?
Does someone use ODI Java API (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e17060/overview-tree.html) or direct updating SNP_% repository tables to do it?

I can help you with marking obsolete database objects.
In the model, there is an option "Display the metadata changes in the Model Tree". Check this.
This will show you what has changed or is obsolete.

  • How to generate XML from EBusiness suite ARXSGPO

Could someone tell me how I can generate XML from the EBusiness Suite Accounts Receivable report ARXSGPO.rdf I understand this report is called by a C program. I have tried changing the concurrent request to output format to XML the result does not resemble XML. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can generate XML from the ARXSGPO report?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
the next release of XMLP will have last page only support. The problem is that at the template layer you do not know how many lines are going to fit on the page, so you never know what is going to be the last page. The only way around it for now is to specify the number of lines to a page and then check when all the lines have been rendered and then render the remit portion.
I have a sample invoice that does the same, drop me a mail, you can work out the email from my name and the fact I work for XMLP Im sure.

  • I run Final Cut Express 4.0.1; I shoot with a Sony HDR-CX260V. How do I import from the camera directly to Final Cut, without having to go through the intermediate step of using iMovie?

    I use Final Cut Express 4.0.1; I shoot with a Sony HDR-CX260V.
How do I import from camera to Final Cut without going through the intermediate step of using iMovie?

If you shoot in one of the following modes you should be able to Log & Transfer directly into FCE:
HD:  1920x1080/60i (FX or FH mode)
HD:  1440x1080/60i (HQ or LP mode)
    SD:  720x480/60i
1080/60p (PS mode) seems to be the default mode in your camcorder.  FCE only supports progressive video in 720p50 or 720p60.   That's probably why you have had to import via iMovie.
It would be better to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X, the version currently supported.  FCE was discontinued over 18 months ago and is not supported on Lion or Mountain Lion.

  • How to use DOMParser from an Applet / Or, how to parse XML from an Applet?

    Hey,
As stating in the subject line, I wonder how to do it without getting an Access Denied error.
I would like to parse a XML file that has external DTD pointing to a SYSTEM location. Yes, I can change it to a public location. However, in either way, I have problems to use DOMBuilder to parse the xml file. The application always throws the security exception.
I tried to use the DOMParser from org.apache.xerces.parsers to parse the xml file. I set the DOMParser to ignore parsing the external DTD, and use the DOMParser.parse(InputSource) to parse the xml file from a giving URL. However, I get null of the result document.
Does anyone know how to parse the XML from an Applet? Or, does anyone know how to use the DOMParser from an Applet?
    Thank you very much,

If the document resides on the local filesystem, you will need to sign a CAB or JAR for the applet to circumvent the sandbox's security restrictions. There are dozens of posts on how to do this. Basically, that will turn the applet into an application, from a Java security perspective.

  • DM 3.0.0.665: How to remove arc from relational model

When creating an arc in the logical model, "engineering to relational" will update the relational model so "DDL Preview" shows DDL for two triggers that enforce the arc.
After removing the arc from the logical model and "engineer to relational" I still see the trigger code in "DDL Preview", as if the arc is still there.
Where can I see the arc in the relational model, and how do I remove it from the model?

    Marc,
you can see the arc on diagram - probably it's hidden. You can move some of parent tables and probably it'll appear. If still invisible then you can create subview and put child table and two parent tables on it - arc should appear and you can delete it.

  • How to write xml

I'm a bit of a newbie to xml so apologies if I am going over old ground. I am trying to find the most productive way to write xml, every time I try and create an xsd from my file it keeps throwing up lots of validation errors, can anyone recommend the best way, by this i mean fastest and most time saving way to write xml using software to check my work as I type, does such a thing exist? thanks in advance for your replies.

to answer your question, yes you can use software to make the job easier, most professional programmers would typically use something called an 'xml editor' for this kind of work, the one I use is [Liquid XML Editor|http://www.liquid-technologies.com/xml-editor.aspx] because it's cheap, you can get more expensive ones but it's all down to what you want it to do. However if you are having issues writing valid xml I would probably suggest you have a look at the [W3 website|http://www.w3.org] which covers all the standards for xml and [W3 schools |http://www.w3schools.com] which is basically an online resoure of learning materials for xml. There's a fairly good review site of xml editors here [http://www.xml-editors.info|http://www.xml-editors.info]

  • How to write data from query into Real time cube?

    Hi All,
Can anyone explain me step by step how to write data into a real time cube from front end queries.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
You can do this using Integrated Planning
You need to create a aggregation level on the Real Time infocube and can create Planning function/sequence, Variables if needed.
Then you can create query on this aggregation level and you can make the keyfigures Input ready in property pane and you can change the data and save it into cube.
Please find below help link which clearly explains step by step about Integrated Planning like creating input ready queries etc.,
