  • How to get .class files (and others) out of JAR in code?

    Hi all,
    I am packaging up several classes in a jar file. In my code I want to be able to "read" any number of jar files, and in each case pull out all the .class files to create instances of them. I don't want to unzip/unjar the files to the disk system. I basically want to create instances of the classes in the jar files in memory as if they had been loaded off the disk by themselves. Here is the sticky issue. I have a class in each jar that is "instantiated" by my plugin engine. There are other classes in the JAR file that "support" this class that is created. For instance, the class that is instantiated then has references and calls to new SomeClase() in it, and those classes are in the JAR file. So, is there some way to either "pull out" the class(es) of a JAR file without actually unjarring them to the local system and be able to create instances of them? Or, perhaps there is a way to make the classpath of the running app "see into" all the JAR files (and any sub-dirs/packages in that jar file) as if it was part of its class path? Again, these are always loaded via the Class.forName() call and newInstance(), and can not be programitcally added to the initial running application.
    Thanks.

    Not sure if this is what you are asking, but...
    You have jars that reference each other (sounds pretty tightly coupled to me, maybe they shouldn't be in separate jars, but I digress) and each has a manifest file in META-INF, right?
    To reference another jar's contents, simply add it to the Class-Path variable in your manifest. Then you can reference the classes as if they were all unjarred and slapped in the same directories.

  • Parse JavaScript '.pac' file and get proxy details using C# code

    Hi,
    I have PAC  file --> (A proxy auto-config (PAC) file defines how web browsers and other user agents can automatically choose the appropriate proxy server (access method) for a given URL (inbound request)).
    This PAC file contains a JavaScript function “FindProxyForURL(url, host)”. This function returns a string with one or more access method specifications. These specifications cause the user agent to use a particular proxy server or to connect directly.
    Eg:
    function FindProxyForURL(url, host)
                    // declare variable strings
                    //incorrect proxy value
                    var use_proxy_yes = "PROXY MyWrongServerAddress:8080";
                    //correct proxy value
                    //var use_proxy_yes = "PROXY MyCorrectServerAddress:8080";
                    var use_proxy_no = "DIRECT";
                    //we can keep adding all the url here for which we do not want proxy
                    if (shExpMatch(url, "*.MyWebsite.com*")) { return use_proxy_no; }
                    // Proxy anything else
                    return use_proxy_yes;
    } This method will be saved as 'proxy.pac' file.
    From C# code i have to parse the above 'proxy.pac' file and get the proxy value that it returns based some condition specified in above method.
    Please someone help me know how i can achieve the above requirement. Thanks in advance.

    How do I drag files in Finder to a different folder?

    First, open one Finder window, and then, open another one pressing Command and N keys.
    On one window, go to the folder where the files are, and on the other one, go to the folder where you want to put your files. Choose them with the Command key (or select all if you want to transfer all of them, with Command and A keys) and drag them to the other Finder window

  • How can one  read a Excel File and Upload into Table using Pl/SQL Code.

    How can one read a Excel File and Upload into Table using Pl/SQL Code.
    1. Excel File is on My PC.
    2. And I want to write a Stored Procedure or Package to do that.
    3. DataBase is on Other Server. Client-Server Environment.
    4. I am Using Toad or PlSql developer tool.

    If you would like to create a package/procedure in order to solve this problem consider using the UTL_FILE in built package, here are a few steps to get you going:
    1. Get your DBA to create directory object in oracle using the following command:
    create directory TEST_DIR as ‘directory_path’;
    Note: This directory is on the server.
    2. Grant read,write on directory directory_object_name to username;
    You can find out the directory_object_name value from dba_directories view if you are using the system user account.
    3. Logon as the user as mentioned above.
    Sample code read plain text file code, you can modify this code to suit your need (i.e. read a csv file)
    function getData(p_filename in varchar2,
    p_filepath in varchar2
    ) RETURN VARCHAR2 is
    input_file utl_file.file_type;
    --declare a buffer to read text data
    input_buffer varchar2(4000);
    begin
    --using the UTL_FILE in built package
    input_file := utl_file.fopen(p_filepath, p_filename, 'R');
    utl_file.get_line(input_file, input_buffer);
    --debug
    --dbms_output.put_line(input_buffer);
    utl_file.fclose(input_file);
    --return data
    return input_buffer;
    end;
    Hope this helps.

  • How to zip one file i have on disk with java.util.zip

    I don't know how to zip a file. I managed to do new html file, but i don't know how to zip it.
    This is my code:
    PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter (new FileWriter(export), true);
    Thanks!

    heres a zipper class i wrote which i have butchered a bit to make more generic (its basic and at present only takes one zipentry etc, but very simple and should be easy to extend etc) Just pass it your file in its constructor and then call its zipme method. PS if it can be made better let me know so i can update my class, cheers.

    import java.util.zip.*;

                   int a = (int)file.length();
                   byte b[] = new byte[a];
                   fin.read(b);
                   ZipEntry k = new ZipEntry(fin.getName());//represents a single file in a zip archive!
                   File newFile = new File("D:\\AZipFile.zip");

    how do you compress files and folders?

    Simply right-click and select "Compress," or navigate in Terminal to the directory containing the file(s) you wish to zip and use the "zip" (no quotes) command. From the terminal you can also use -e to encrypt your archive.

    My Mac Book Pro is giving me a message that the start up disk is full, how do I delete files, and what files should I be deleting

    There are several nice programs that can help you figure out what's on your computer - OmniDiskSweep, WhatSize, and DaisyDisk are the three I like. If you've had your computer for a while - and especially if this isn't your first Mac and you've been migrating from one computer to another, one of these programs can help you find files you didn't know your computer still had. For example, when I was trying to shed files to fit int a 256GB SSD, I discovered I had nearly 1GB of files in my Application Support folder belonging to programs I no longer used.
    Other than that, your easy choice are music, video, and photos. They tend to be the big files. A movie will generally be at least 1.25GB, for example.

  • How can I sort all files and folders by size?

    Due to lack of space I need to find the biggest files and folders on my Mac OSX Mountain Lion, but "Size" is not in the Find options.
    And I don't know the wildcard to sort all files and folders by size in Easyfind.
    Thanks

    There are applications out there which are designed to show you files and the space they use.  Some of these applications and some strategies for making more room on your disk are given below.
