Q. What is working Days & How working days is treated and counted as leave day.
Case 1-suppose Absence is registered on 15.11.2010- 18.112010.but on 17.11.2010 is a public holiday.in as IT2001 it is showing as Absence hrs =24 days,Abs days = 3 days and Cal days = 4 days .Quota used= 4.
why it is not showing 32 hrs .

The counting rule for absences takes care if the public holiday or non working days as to be counted when absence is entered or not.
If you tick on (not a public holiday) then only days which are not public holidays wll be counted in absence counting. If you dont check saturday sunday in the rule then sat sunday will be counted towards leave...Other options are also there for eg. Holiday classes. You can make appropriate settings and include or exclude the working/non working days from absence counting.

Over here, the data is being filtered always for current month and for a location that is being selected by user from a report selection parameter.
I would like to get the count of total no. of customers and sum of the amount measure.
When I am using them in calculated members it gives incorrect values. It considers all records (ignores the sub-select statements) instead of only the records of current month and selected location.
I also tried with EXISTING keyword in calculated members but there is not difference in output. Finally, I manage the same at SSRS level.
Can anybody please advise what are the ways to get the required sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension?
Also, does it make any difference if I manage it as SSRS level and not at MDX query level?
Any help would be much appreciated.

We can use SUM function and COUNT function to sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension. Here is a sample query for you reference.

Besides, you ask that does it make any difference if I manage it as SSRS level and not at MDX query level. I don't thinks it will make much difference. The total time to generate a reporting server report (RDL) can be divided into 3 elements:Time to retrieve
the data (TimeDataRetrieval);Time to process the report (TimeProcessing);Time to render the report (TimeRendering). If you manage it on MDX query level, then the TimeDataRetrieval might a little longer. If you manage it on report level, then the TimeProcessing
or TimeRendering time might a little longer. You can test it on you report with following query:

My requirement is to count no of days leave applied !!
Which should exclude Holidays and weekends and count only business days..
I.E. per week onlyt 5 working days!!

Well its got to the point where i think ive just about had it with BT im appalled by them now!!!up to now ive been kept well informed as to what's been going on without me having to ring them .Then Last Friday the day that finally i was gonna get my final appointment (the 4th appointment) i was told yet another excuse/reason as to why this wasn't going to happen and that it will take 48 hrs to sort, so tuesday will now be the day i get my appointment, i was then sent a text with a number and to call if it wasn't sorted by tuesday which is when they were suppose to ring me again with an update but i didn't get the call (the 1ST time)?
so i called the number i got texted and its the infinity call centre in Dundee well guess what? the problem still persists and that they sent a request but it still hasn't been answered so it could well be another 48 hrs until openreach respond, i asked for a manager to call me back because the person at the call centre was just not bothered atall about my situation and sounded uninterested,well that didn't happen either.
My MAC code runs out on the 20th that will be a month since i ordered, just over infact!!! i ordered 17th march.And just to add insult to injury my BT account states that the total order was complete on the 7th april(my 3rd appointment date)and they will be taking the 1st month broadband payment off me by DD on the 23rd april. My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can I fix this without turning off iCloud?
I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks!I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
one more bug in a complicated system I guess -
I had all of my video files that I work on in iMovie saved to an external hard drive exclusively to save space on my Macbook. The other day I had just finalized a project and went to work on another one and when I opened the project I could see what should have been there, but scrolling over the entire clip I would only see black and that the file was missing. I did not drag anything on the hard drive to the trash or move anything. How can I get those files? These are videos of my kids and I am devastated and willing to try anything!
Control click does not work - no option to find files. I have no idea what to do. When I look at the usage of the external drive the space is being used, but I cannot find the files. I am going to try MacKeeper's Undelete and see if I can make any progress with it.

I own a 13-inch MacBook Pro and for the past day, my wifi on my laptop says I only have two bars of connection and is running very slow,but all of my other devices such as my iPhone and iPad are connecting perfectly to the wifi. How can I fix this? I have tried to shut my laptop off and let it rest and I have also re-started my wifi router three different times. Someone please help me with this problem so I can begin to use my laptop again as I take it to school and use it for class.
Thanks so much!FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
-Close FCP
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
-Empty your trash
Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.

Made big mistake of downloading Mavericks today.
Been struggling with all the FUBARd messes it caused, ALL DAY.
Google basic buttons don't work--can't log out or other basic functions.
Website use is impaired.
It took almost 3 hours to do a basic online order on one of them--at this rate, I'll be out of business soon, and it's seriously impairing Christmas preparations!
Google Voice/Video are screwed up, had to RE-download their voice/video plugin all over again--again.
Voice/video quality is REALLY poor.
Lag times in so many things are bad.
Thought this would download WITH the better writing/bookkeeping programs--NOT!
Mac Maps is piddle compaired with GoogleMaps.
The Email program on the desktop is REALLY hard to use, has few useful functions. It's MAYbe good if one only has ONE email; using it with severeal various email accounts is a serious liability in many ways--like filing, sorting, marking, etc.; no clear way to move email files to an external drive to save, to unload the HD.
HOW can Safari and Mavericks be fixed?
IF not, HOW can I REMOVE Mavericks and get back to Mountain Lion--which was not too great, but certainly more functional than Mavericks!
I NEED my web-based emails to work--NOW...NOT when Mac finally gets around to fixing things sometime later.

It's a shiney new computer. Came loaded with Mountain Lion.
Too busy learning to use the blessed thing, to download anything....except...
The only pluggin that had to be loaded, was Google Voice-Video pluggin, while Lion was still it's OS. [AND been using the Safari that came already in it.] Had to do that a couple times--nothing new there--that plug-in had to be re-loaded when using a PC, too--THAT happened even before Google slammed everyone into coerced use of it's Google+.
[I understood from others, that Firefox won't work in Mac units--or I woulda put that in it to see if that solved anything]
This unit seemed a bit sluggish from the git-go, out-of-the-box.
I figured that was probly the local DSL here---rural DSL is...um...our DSL's not something to brag about, but it's the best we can do...
The difference between speed of loading pages, etc. on the new Mac, was --not-- toooo terribly different--though yes, slower on Mac....and chalked it up to my inexperience with Mac.
Been trying to get things up and running for a bit over a month now.
NOT doing very well at it--just barely getting by; rapidly falling behind what needs done [work].
Google worked just --OK-- when OS was Lion, as did the Google voice/video--slower, and voice-video was kinda scratchy or glitchy, but worked enough to --get by--.
Loading Mavericks, ruined that.
VOIP calls via Google talk have bad echio, static, cut-outs; video calling was pixilated or not working; WAS cued to re-load it's Voice-Video plug-in....which seemed to help a bit, though not very well; it only helped the Voice-Video some, not all--figured that was probably Google issues, less than Mac's, since Google has been increasingly dysfunctional as they have twisted it to be a social media-dominant thing.
[[now seeking an email venue that does what Gmail was good at, including the Voice-video calling, that has no intention of turning itself inside out to be "social"]]
Can't sign out of Gmail or Google+, nor use buttons in upper right corner with the drop-down menu.
NO buttons in upper right corner cluster on Gmail work, except the name+ button to toggle over to Google+---which I don't need! [yeah--THAT's a Google problem!]
Can only switch to HTML version by catching that button as the account signs in--if one fails to be fast enough with their fingers, it goes to Google+; can't get to email unless type in mail.google.com.
Managed to catch that button today, and clicked to use HTML "permanently" until these issues get solved.
ALSO:
Have fairly new [about 1 year?] HP bluetooth printer-scanner.
BUT, after Mavericks loaded: it HAS the unit listed, HAS drivers for it, HP unit IS listed as default printer, everything --seems-- "go",
.....except Mac keeps posting it's out of ink, and/or, not hooked up, and/or not turned on--even when it is on.
It's SUPPOSED to be blue-toothing that printer/scanner.
It did it for Lion, before loading Mavericks, even though it was troublesome to get it to work, it at least HAD printed one document when Lion was the OS.

How to restore Address Book and then add working iCloud Account?
OK i'm going insane trying to resolve this one.... all started with a shed load of Duplicates!
3 devices: MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone 4S
I finally upgraded the MBP to 10.7.2, the iMac already was and the iPhone was already 5.0.1
I've held off moving to iCloud from Mobile.me because of the 10.6.x MBP
...so now all on the same song sheet, I clicked the upgrade to iCloud from my MBA and all went well!
The MBA pushed 1352 address cards to the iCloud and I only had the iCloud account showing in my Address Book.
My iPhone then happily went iCloud and downloaded ALL the calendars (and I have far too many....I'll clean up soon, promise ;-)
but i hadnt turned on Contact sync for a very good reason.
I DON'T WANT ALL MY CONTACTS ON MY iPHONE!
So having found some advice, it says you have to keep everything you dont want in iCloud, in the On My Mac account
(which I didnt appear to have at that point)
I turned my iMac on and connected to the iCloud, all went well and I again had a single iCloud account in Address Book with 1352 cards
I then went Address Book/Preferences/General/Deafult Account/On My Mac and it generated the empty On My Mac account in the Address Book.
Highlighting ALL my iCloud address cards and dragging them to On My Mac, a successful duplication was made.
Highlighting ALL my iCloud address cards and deleting, all three devices now had NO contacts in the iCloud related accounts (what I wanted)
I then turned on Contact sync on my iPhone and it pushed 186 contacts to the iCloud and in turn to all 3 devices (perfect!)
but then came the fun part....
On my iMac, the On My Mac account had gone from 1352 to over 1900 with loads of duplicates. So I selected ALL deleted and restored from an Address Book backup prior to going iCloud. This began my problem....
if I restore it WIPES the iCloud account from the machine and leaves me with 1352 in On My Mac,
if I try and add an iCloud account it then wants to upload the 1352 into the iCloud which I dont want.
If I delete all, setup iCloud acount first I get the 186 correctly, but the moment I restore from backup it overwrites and I'm again left with On My Mac and no iCloud account
AHHHHHH!
how on earth do I get the working iCloud with 186 (which is perfectly fine on 3 devices) and restore 1352 in ON MY MAC, so my iMac Address Book has two accounts very seperate from each other. I want the 186 on my MacBook Pro and iPhone, but I want an iCloud account with 186 and an On My Mac with 1352 on the iMac

I've been trying to solve this problem for days and I lost my "on my mac account" along the way. Once I followed your section where you gave directions how to "generate the empty On My Mac account" I was able to re-establish my contacts list on my mac. Your suggestion was very valuable. add the iCloud account which replaces ALL contacts with the 186 from the iCloud.
select Address Book/Preferences/General/Default Account/On My Mac and it generates the empty On My Mac account in the Address Book.
DRAG the 1352 back into On My Mac account
now have two accounts...

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

- Then see if placing the iPod in airplane mode when in standby helps.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Hi, I m using an iPhone 4 and my yahoo push email was working just fine but for the last few days I am experiencing some problem that is the emails are not getting pushed , I have to manually fetch the mails. Account Suspended for 6 Days and Counting. Skype ...
My account has been suspended for 6 mind numbing days. I've filled out the "reactivation form" numerous times. *I had to open a new Skype account just to post on this forum.* I am at wit's end. The customer service reps. are useless, clueless automatons.
I've asked numerous times why my account was suspended without answer. I've asked what other information they need to activate my account. For my grief, support emails end with zombie-like comments, "If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask."
I've asked numerous times for my case to be forwarded to a supervisor. Nothing, nothing, nothing.
I bought Skype credit before a trip this summer. I was told there is no record of me buying credit. On top of not being able to activate my account, I have no confidence they know what they are talking about!
I have provided mulitple contact names numerous times.
I was told to delete my cache and cookies and try logging in from another browser. (what does that have to do with Skype software running on my computer?)
Nothing has worked. I have to wait 24 hours each time for a completely useless reply.

This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I've worked for major Fortune 500 corporations and this is simply inexcuseable. No one should have to put up with this kind of inept service.
I have called Skype's corporate number in Palo Alto: (650) 493-7900. No one answers the phone at 2 pm in the afternoon!
I have looked for Skype customer service executives to complain to on LinkedIn. No luck. The VP of Skype customer service should try communicating with his own customer service. They are a joke.
Is there anyone on this planet whose 2 eyeballs are reading this post that can resolve this situation and get my account reactivated by some miracle of fate?!?!?!?!?!

Algonquin, ILI think customer support reps have no reason not to reply to valid concerns from Skype users. That is what they are trained for, expected to do, and paid to do. If a support intentionally ignore a valid concern, I think that would be a ground for possible diciplinary actions or job termination in some cases.
Afaik, they indeed usually reply within a 24 hour timeframe, but they may be time responses from them may take a bit longer due to various reasons.
