Hp 2711x control button does not work.

I have recieved my Hp 2711x. After following instruction to turn it on, I cannot use any button on Front Panel Controls. Even the power button is not doing anything. To turn off the monitor, I have to pull the power cord.
Could someone help me, what is going on with the control buttons on my new monitor?

Happens only rarely, but when it does, using the switch to turn off and on the monitor does not get a picture on the up and running pc. Turning it on that way only gets it to repeat the on screen display than no signal is detected for any of the video connections. I could perhaps power off the monitor's switch before disconnecting and reconnecting power from back. Will try that if and when it happens again. I should mention when the DVI digital signal is not getting detected, swapping to a VGA cable works fine (i.e., gets an analog picture). But the digital signal is not restored by swapping back to the DVI cable. Only pulling the plug on the monitor has consistently gotten detection of the digital signal restored. I don't have HDMI output on my PC so don't know for sure if the monitor would have similar issues on HDMI.

I rotate the button that controls the volume and i realise that it doesnt follow me!!

What notebook model do you have?
Ive got a U400 and Ive got the same volume control.
I read here in the forum about very similar issue and the guy solved this by cleaning the contacts.
There was a dirt and dust which affected the volume control functionality.
The volume control level jumped around.
I dont know how he did this but I think a compressed air spray should help you.

Satellite P20: Fn+F5 and TV-button does not work

Satellite P20, Windows XP SP2 keyboard problem.
When I press Fn + F5, the computer does not show as earlier the different display options. TV button does not work also. I can change the different displays with my nVidia Display Driver.
My keyboard is OK, there is no dust or fluids. I have newest BIOS update and Windows XP Service Pack 2. What program controls the keyboard functions in this case?
How to repair this problem?

Obviously you have removed something or preinstalled your own operating system. Without Toshiba designed tools and utilities it will not work. I dont know exactly which of them are for doing this but please try to install Dritek Easy Button Util. /Sticky Keys V1.008, E-Keys Utilities and Toshiba Hotkey Utility.

Froze on black screen and power button does not work

Neglect the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode use one of thes programs
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Windows 8.1 - Upgrade from 8, Start Button Does Not Work

I cannot find a fix for my 8.1 start button.
It works when I move the task bar to the top, right or left but not at the bottom. I ran all windows updates and there are no missing/unknown drivers in device manager. No errors in the event log. I've restarted multiple times and created a new local profile.
I've also tried:
Copy WinX folder under C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows into C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Any ideas? I would prefer not to do a clean install. Thanks in advance.

Yes, when the taskbar is at the bottom of the screen, I cannot left click on the start button. The machine is also a touch-screen, which does work when I touch the start button. If I move the task bar to the left, right or top; the start button does work.
And what is the kind of the account, Domain? Local? Or both?

Control-clicking does not work in Finder

Ever since installing the 10.4.5 update, control-clicking does not work in Finder. When I try to do it, Finder automatically restarts itself. This happens in any Finder window and on the desktop itself. Whether I am control-clicking an Application icon or trying to 'Get Info' on a file, Finder restarts itself. I repaired permissions and it did not fix the problem.
Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks a lot!

Edit: Nevermind. I fixed it by deleting the JIMZip.plugin file in my Contexual Menu folder. I found the answer in another thread. I apologize for searching after I created this thread.

Can you identify any corrupted or incompatible files in either your Macintosh HD/Library/Contextual Menu Items folder, or your Macintosh HD/Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Contextual Menu Items folder?
If so you may be able to uninstall/reinstall the associated application.
You may also consider temporary manual removal and isolation of the suspect file to verify CM functionality.

i recently noticed that my original iphone power button does not work i push but nothing happens. I know that i have to fix but the problems is that the warranty is been over for long i need to know a good place to repair because the apple people said they could not fix it. Same problem here: I never had a problem with the previous versions and now I don't even get my homepage when I click Firefox. Instead, I am getting a blank screen that says "New Tab", only after I click the "Home" symbol I get my Homepage (Yahoo). The browser - back and browser forward button don't work anymore, very annoying. Normally a newer version should be an improvement but it looks like Mozilla really messed up with this "improvement". probably I am going to use Google chrome from now on.
