Hp all in one won't connect to my wireless

I'm having an issue connecting my Hp all in one to my internet.  I changed my internet to Fios within the last few months.  At first there was no problem then one day it was running slow so I disconnected it and now it doesn't recognize my internet name.  I need to know what I need to do to have it find my internet connection.

Do not use WPS.  It should be disabled in the router for security issues.  Please explain your full network setup including all make and model numbers and how everything is connected.

I just switched providers and now can not get my printer to connect to my modem. I have tried the WPS button but it is not finding the modem I guess. I do know that my modem has two different addresses (its the new one from Grande) the tech support said to try to find one but this printer does not give me that option. PLEASE HELP I HAVE TO PRINT STUFF TONIGHT.

  • HP 3510 all-in-one won't connect to wireless - MAC filter

I'm trying to set up my HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one, but every time it tries to connect to my wireless, it fails and gives me an error saying it may be due to the MAC filtering on my router.. but there is no MAC filtering on my router! I even added it to the approved devices just in case. If I try to just set it up via USB, the software doesn't always respond to the fact that I've plugged my printer into my laptop. I'm on Windows Vista. TRIED the solution of unplugging everything, restarting everything, turning things off and on again, etc., the error never changes but I have seen for myself and had the internet company confirm that there isn't any MAC filtering on my router.

    Hi,
Please enter your wireless router configuration and check what security type is configured.
May it set as WEP security?
If so, ensure the authentication type is set as Open or Auto, then try connecting the printer again.. HP printers does not support the Shared Authentication type..
Otherwise please clarify what security type is configured.

  • HP all in one: can I connect a non-wireless mouse to the computer

I have an all-in-one desktop computer (HP pavilion with Windows 8) with wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. What happens if the mouse drops to the floor and breaks? Do I need a new mouse or can I connect a normal mouse with a USB to the computer? Or does the computer work ONLY with a wireless mouse?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

You can connect a USB mouse to your all-in-one PC.
You won't need to find any drivers since Windows 8 will provide the driver as soon as you plug in the mouse.

  • 3510 all in one having trouble connecting to new wireless network

Ok - just to update, at least the drivers are downloadable now ... I'll see if that resolves my issue.

Hi guys.  I just switched to a new modem through my ISP (Rogers) that has a built in router and a much faster connection.  (Previously, this 3510 printer was working just fine over my network with a modem and a router that was separate.)  My computer is hooked into the internet via a direct cable and everyone else in the household connects via wireless, which has been set up and works well.  For some reason though, my 3510 refuses to play nice with the modem and connect to the network.   I've tried plugging it in via usb cable, then going into the settings and clicking on the "convert a usb connected printer to wireless" option.  I hit "yes, access the computer or router", then next, it finds my wireless network with no trouble and I type in the required password and "next" - it then takes a while to go through it's "setting up printer on network" .... and then after a while, I get a "MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router" error.  There IS no MAC filtering.  I have "allow all" set on the router.  This shouldn't be an issue.   Has anyone else had this problem?  Is it just a thing with the newer modem/router combos and these older HP printers?  I tried to update the driver, but your website doesn't seem to be letting folks do that at the moment (some error you're fixing, it says?). If you have any suggestions on how I could get past this problem, I'd really appreciate it.  It's driving me NUTS.  Thanks!  All the best, -- Jodi

  • C3180 Photosmart All-in-one won't print. Gives message 'clear paper jam.' There is no paper jam.

C3180 Photosmart All-in-one won't print. Gives message  'clear paper jam.'  There is no paper jam.  About a month ago there was a paper jam, but was removed.  It worked fine since then until yesterday.  I've tried all the HP trouble-shooting suggestions- unplug, take apart, manually move carriage, etc. and nothing has solved the problem.  The paper does not advance...all that happens if I try to print is a lot of noise like carriage going back and forth and after a/b 1-2 minutes it will show the "red X" blinking on the printer and a message on the computer screen, "Clear paper jam."  When the problem first started yesterday the message was that the printer was "Out of paper."  I need to print a resume and this is just the wrong time for someone such as myself with little computer knowledge to try to figure it out.  Thanks for any suggestions!

    Hi there pattimessick,
You may not need to remove/re-add. Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03275041&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
It can fix a lot on its own (especially connectivity problems) and if not give a better idea of what is going on.
    Best of Luck!

  • HP OfficeJet 8600 All-In-One cannot be connected

I just bought a new HP OfficeJet 8600 All-in-One printer.  It's a wireless unit and initally connected to my home
network no problem and I could print from several puters in the house fine.  I have Bell internet with a wireless
    home router that uses DHCP.
Today, my wifes win7 laptop is unable to print to it for some reason.  I tried to delete the printer from her computer
and re-add it however, the computer when I run the HP installer software to reach the printer, it isn't able to connect
to it.  During the installation, it say:
    Discovering Device....
    and never leaves there.
However, I can define the printer in Windows "Add a Printer" using the HP OfficeJet K8600 printer driver.
One thing on the IP address that the printer is using.  I checked it on the printers configuration vs what the windows
printer definition had and it was wrong on the printer driver configuration.  I used the HP utility to update the printer IP
address to what the printer is currently using.
Any ideas on why the printer cannot be re-added using the HP all-in-one installer?

I would bet it is your router.  Its supplied by your ISP, right?
First, restart the router by pulling its power cord momentarily.
Next, set a static IP address for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • My 5250 all in one won't email with Windows 7

Since I installed windows 7 my 5250  all in one won't e-mail anything since I don't have WINDOWS MAIL ANYMORE, and it only gives you windows mail as the only option to email.
Anyone know how to correct this?

In the Start Menu,  type 'Live Essentials', and open the option which says to go online to get Windows Live Essentials. This way, you can install Windows Mail.

  • 6150 All-in-One won't print black

My HP Photosmart 6150 All-In-One won't print black. There is a new black cartridge and all the other inks are fine as well.  I've cleaned the printhead 3 times and all that printed was yellow.  I then  ran an alignment. The alignment failed, but it wasn't because of a paper issue. The manual says it could be that the printhead assembly or the sensor is defective. Is it worth getting that fixed, or should I just get a new printer? I've had this one for 8 years and it's worked great until now.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that your HP Photosmart c6150 will not print black. I am happy to look into this issue for you!  According to this guide, Color Mix or Missing Colors on the Diagnostic Page, it states: Missing colors occur when the printhead nozzles dry out. Since you have tried cleanign the printhead multiple times, and the issue is still occuring, I would consider having the printer serviced/or replaced. Please contact HP, phone support for further assistance. (After you fill out the information, you will be given a phone number.) If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Bought an ipad 2 for christmas but it won't connect to my wireless. My modem/router is an Arris 653 B eurospec DOCSIS. The wifi works on an unsecured network I have in the bldg but not my own network. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with your router but are there any buttons on the front or back of it because sometimes you need to pair the router in order for your PC, laptop, phone or iPad to connect wirelessly with it?
From the routers I have used there are normally two buttons on the front or back (apart from the power button), pressing one of them allows you a few minutes to enter the required password on your iPad. Best look at the instructions for the router.

  • HP8500A all-in-one can no longer scan thru wireless network but prints fine.

HP8500A all-in-one can no longer scan thru wireless network but prints fine. Have used this device several times over past 2 years on different wireless networks (at home) but usually at some point I lose wireless scan function but maintain wireless Printing.  I used to be able to reload the software and resolve the issue but now in this "new network" cannot get wireless scanning to work.   Setup software; original software (CD) and current download as well as "Print/Scan Dr"  hangs-up at "network check"  for hours.  Compaq laptop, Dell Laptop, Cell phones and Roku work fine thru network.  Scanner works fine with USB to Laptops.

    Which model Epsons are they?
I'm assuming you're using Yosemite (OS X 10.10), and that the problem developed when you upgraded from a previous OS.
    (Your profile says 10.6.7 BTW).
Maybe the scanning function is not compatible with Yosemite.
You could try a few things:
    reset your wifi system:
power down everything: modem, router, computer, printer/scanners.
    wait a minute.
power them all up again, in that order: modem, router, computer, printers. Let each power up completely before going on to the next.
try a factor reset on your printer/scanner (if there is such a function). You'll have to check your manual for how. If you do that you'll have to enter the wifi password in your printer/scanner, assuming you have security on your network.
uninstall any printer manufacturer "utilities" that are on your Mac, and try Image Capture again.
If it is a compatible software issue, you could try VueScan, but I've never needed to use it.

  • Touch won't connect to my wireless network

Sometimes my touch won't connect to my wireless network even though settings show it connected with good signal strength.  When I go to the main screen the signal strength icon (upper left) doesn't appear.  Any ideas?

    Try:
    - A reset. Nothing will be lost,
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    - Powering off and then back on the router.
    - Reset Nework settings: Settings>General>Reser>Reset Network Settings

  • ATV2 won't connect to my wireless network.

My ATV2 won't connect to my wireless network, although the network shows up in the list of networks and I'm using the correct password.  A laptop approximately 1 foot away connects wirelessly to the network.  ATV has worked in the past - haven't tried it recently.  Tried reset - didn't help.  Any suggestions?

If your wireless router is setup to use WPA or WPA2 security then you need to make sure you match this within your Apple TV device.
You probably already know to match case sensitivity in your password.

  • My iBook i just bought from USA won't connect to my wireless

My iBook i just bought from USA won't connect to my wireless that my iMac works on. Please help I'm seriously clueless and its driving me crazy!
I just says error when i type in the key and invalid password when I type in it in network assistant! ):): It comes up as WAP being the only option when I click the network name. but i don't actually know what WAP means....

Go to Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > System Profiler to tell the MHz rating, how much RAM is installed, and what type of optical drive it has.
To run Repair Permissions, go to Utilities again, and click on Disk Utility. Choose the named hard drive ("Macintosh Hard Drive" unless it's been renamed), and click on "Repair Permissions."
What encryption are you running on your network? Do you have a router? If so, it needs to be set to a mode that will work with the 802.11b standard, since that is what the iBook's original AirPort Card uses.

  • Wirelless connected HP All-in-one won't appear on any device

Hello, I have a strange issue regarding my HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-In-One. It's been working flaulessly since I bought it almost one year ago. It has no device connected by cable, so it's working entirely by wirelless and I've printed documents as from my laptop as from my android and IOS devices. The printer was always imediatly recognized on the network. Today when I went printing a document I wasn't unable to do it because the printer shows offline on the laptop and my other devices can't find it on the network. The printer itself shows it's online, the signal great, and connections tests I ran shows no problems. But still no device can find it on the network. I searched a bit here on the forum, tried some software, checked every option, every connection but the printed continues showing everything is ok and impossible to connect to. Not even the software HP Print and Scan Doctor was abble to solve the issue, because just like everything else it was unable to find the printer.
I could use some help here please...

    Welcome to the Forums, tiago31088!
I came across your post about your Officejet 6700 Premium not being found on your network when you attempt to print from your devices. It seems as though the connection was lost. I am going to suggest following a few steps to try and get it connected again.
