HP Envy Integrated Camera - Can't get the camera to start

When I open mediasmart webcam this message is displayed: No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an intergrated camera, make sure that it is turned on. Can someone tell me how to turn the camera on or how to fix this? When I have opened the program in the past, the camera automatically turns on but for some reason now the integrated camera won't start when I open mediasmart webcam. Thanks!

Since it has not been too long since the problem started, you can run a system restore.
This will take the system back to when everything was working correctly without affecting your personal files.
Here is a link on how to do a restore.

Hold the shift key at boot time, then run through this list, did you install anything recently or perform a update of some third party software? Uninstall it.

I'm using firefox 6.02, and I've tried upgrading to 7 and 10, but after I update, I can never get the program to start up, so I always have to roll back to 6. Please help!

No other details, other than it just won't start or open when I upgrade. It's in my task manager list, but the GUI does not come up.

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Updating Firefox]]. There is a lot of good information in there and some troubleshooting steps as well.
If that doesn't work, you might want to try installing a fresh copy of Firefox:

I would suggest that you first back up your personal information and bookmarks, just in case. You can find details in the article [[Backing up your information]].

After repacing the videoscreen I can not get the iphone to start

The Iphone a 3gs after replacing the videoscreen I could not get it to start. The system stays in recovery mode.
It is not jailbreaked or something like that. I can"t say it is death as itunes sees it in recovery mode. Need some help.

Find a competent repair shop or buy a new phone. We can't help you and apple won't touch that phone now.

TS3212 I can't get my itunes to start downloading the new update on my pc.

About two weeks ago, my itunes on my pc said there was an update available, but I put off updating it until I can do it at night when I have more download capacity available. Now I can't get the message asking to update to come up again, and when I search for available updates, it says one is available, but when I select to download it, nothing happens. I've tried over several days now. Restarted computer and itunes, but still can't get the download to start. Never had this problem before.I have Itunes version 10.6.3.25 on my pc right now and it says version 10.7 is available. I can't get the download to start off the Apple website either.

Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

Just sounds the ding, alert, can still slightly navigate the program but can not use any other tools after clicking warp text. It actually sounds like the warp text window is opening off screen.
Resetting the photoshop elements 10 preferences should fix it.
*Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after you start the launch of the photoshop elements 10 editor
*Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements setting file
*Press Yes

I'm a bit lost - you first say

then you say
" If I take an unused SD card and record video with my camera, it will see, and import the file to the Photo app."
In the first statement, aren't you using an SD card in the camera? And what do you mean by "unused SD card"? Cameras put their files in specific folders on a card, and your device only reads photos and video from those folders, not from anywhere else on the card.

i have the Satellite A210-11P and i just can't get the Camera to work on it,
it will yurn on for two seconds and then shut itself off and 'No Preview' Appears.
