HP Omen bottom panel replacement

I just replaced my SSD with a larger capacity, and after about an hour of messing with the bottom panel, it will not fit flush with the chassis. I'm not sure if was inadvertently bent or broken but I cannot get it to return to normal.  The rubber feet that line the bottom were also glued on with double sided tape and are unable to be returned to their original place. Is there anyway to order these as replacement parts?

Maybe  has an idea. I know he was looking for the same a while back. Or

  • [SOLVED] Trouble Making Conky Bottom Panel

I'm trying to create a bottom panel with conky that will replace LXDE's panel.  Right now I have everything set up adequately except for having the conky panel appear on the bottom.  The conky manpage mentions the panel setup under own_window_type, and says that it follows the lead of the alignment variable, so I figured setting the alignment before setting own_window_type may fix the issue, but I haven't had any such luck.

own_window_type must be panel, otherwise it doesn't behave like a panel.  And adding "above" to the hints instead of "below" doesn't fix it.
Maybe the other options have some effect.  When i tried setting "own_window" to "no", conky would disregard my transparency option and just make it transparent.

  • My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and also I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel.

My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good for me. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel. Also my itunes doesn't allow "enable disk use" anymore. Can anyone help? My ipod now says that it's the 4.3.4 version

    - Unjailbroken iPod never showed % battery.  Just the icon.
    - Unjailbroken iPod Touches never had a disk mode.
    - What happens when you try to drag a wiggling app to a empty space in the bottom? Does it move and snap back?

  • When i try to load certain page, the system crashed and the bottom panel states " stopped" but when I close and open firefox again,it can't and I get this message that says my firefox is still running and to open the browser i need to restart the compu

while browsing suddenly the system crashed and the bottom panel says " stopped".When closed and re-opened, I got a prompt that says firefox is still running and i have to close to open again or have to restart the computer but it doesn't work
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

You get message "firefox is still running" and computer restart doesn't help you. Try the advice below.
Make sure Firefox isn't running (end firefox.exe process in Task Manager or restart computer)
    Find your profile folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
find file "parent.lock" in it and delete it (the file is empty, its function is to signify to Firefox whether it's already open or not).
Then try to open Firefox again. Will it start or not? What will it say?

  • Missing bottom panel in PSE 12 Elements Organiser

Hi. This is probably a really silly question, but does anyone know how to bring back the bottom panel in my organiser window? It disappeared for no reason I can think of a couple of weeks ago, and despite scouring the forums, can't find how to unhide it or re-set it up. Help please

It’s possible that your application window is larger than your monitor/display as there is no switch for hiding the bottom menu/options bar.
Try changing your screen resolution or perhaps minimizing the window and dragging a top or bottom corner to re-size.

  • Total records not shown in bottom panel

    Hi all,
I am running Forms 10g. When my forms runs, the total record count does not shown in the bottom panel but a question mark instead. For example it would show 1/?
Could you tell me why it would do that?
    Thank you.

This is because forms do not know, how many records will be retrieved from the database.
If you go to the last record, forms will show you how many records are in your block.
You can set the Query All Records block-property to yes to see immediately how many records there,
but if there are a lot of records to fetch, it might results in a long query time.

  • Trying to install RAM, bottom panel is impossible to unscrew

I just bought 8GB of RAM from Crucial for my 13" MacBook Pro.
I am unable to unscrew the bottom panel to install the memory. So far I've destroyed 3 screwdrivers just trying to unscrew 1 screw. I've used Philips 00, as well as 0 for good measure - the screws aren't budging.
I've called several local Apple Stores, and they all refuse to help me because I did not buy the RAM directly from them.
This is kind of silly - what am I supposed to do?

I would suggest that you get better screwdrivers. I have upgraded the RAM and hard disk in my 2007 MacBook Pro and the only issue I had was when I first tried to use a Phillips screw driver to unscrew a Torx T-6 screw. I've been using this set of screw drivers since the 1980's or 1990's. I own some Snap-On drivers, some Wiha (German made) drivers, and some cheap drivers I got from an Ace Hardware discount bin for $4.95 (fro the Torx T-6 driver).

Hi, I am from Mauritius and I my country is not in the list for the MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program and hence, can't order the kit.
    What can I do?
    Thank you beforehand.

There may be an authorized Apple service provider who can handle the matter
of obtaining a replacement bottom part to the computer in question and also do
the necessary labor, if your unit qualifies for the program...
Did you see this section (Apple - Find Locations) and choose your country
then enter City and Product information to find authorized service provider
for your Mac portable, as supported by an independent local business?
    There are three categories, not all may be available across your country;
    Sales, Service, and Consulting.
    •Apple - Find Locations - Argentina:
    https://locate.apple.com/ar/es/
Another selector to try for service & support options appears through this link:
    https://getsupport.apple.com/SASOLocaleAction.action
The first one above tends to list any authorized retail repair & sales business
that provides product, service, sales, and repair in the area. With contact info.
    In any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Y50-70 4k lcd panel replacement - yellow issue

    Hi guys,
It has been 4 months since I bought my y50 with 4k display and still no solution for the yellow issue. I tried to call support and also to send it back and change it with the full HD model without any success as I bought it from john lewis store.
I'm really disappointed about all the support system..I'm going to fix it by myself.
Does anybody know where can I get a 4k compatible LCD panel replacement online??
    Thanks loads

    hi marcolino86,
Thanks for being civil and sorry to hear about your trouble.
Besides the SAMSUNG, 15.6 inch, LTN156FL02-L01 screen that's being used on the Y50-70  (see page 93 of the Y50-70 HMM), the only compatible UHD (3840×2160) panel that I've found is the SHARP, 15.6 inch, LQ156D1JX01 which uses the same Embedded DisplayPort (eDP) 4 lanes signal type but I haven't seen one went with this upgrade.
      - List of 15.6" 3840x2160 displays
Seing that you have the Y50-70 FHD model, you will also need to change the eDP cable to support UHD if you're planning to go for the upgrade.
       - Link to picture
Alternatively, you may also want to consider doing what others users did on their Y50 FHD model where they changed the stock TN display to an IPS display (see this thread)

Top and bottom panel suddanly disappeared. Reboot does not help. I did not install anything before this happened. sudo pacman -Syu does not help.
What happened and how do I fix it permanently?

Ok - forget what I just posted. Need more coffee. If you press alt+F2, and type in "xfce4-panel &" and press run, it should start automatically in future sessions. Not sure what caused it to stop suddenly though.

  • Spry Tabbed Panels - replace text tab with an image, how to?

Hi all, I'm stumped. I've uploaded 2 files to:
    http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B4zgjxAaUD97MmUzZTk3NjMtMDNkYi00NDJjLWExNzctOWNjMzM0MDlmMj g0&hl=en&authkey=CMWGoeEP

I'm working in Dreamweaver CS3, 4 tab "Spry Tabbed Panel" with 3 columns (one column is a form and submit btn). The 1st photo is a mockup of what I'm trying to accomplish. In the 2nd photo, Nokia designed a page for its Nokia Developer Summit 2010 (been pulled down since). This is the desired effect. I'm trying to replace the typical text tabs in the tabbed panel with images, or, at the very least, change the color between states ON and OFF (images the same except for bg color - green verses gray), which is probably the better way to go, given page load time.
I need the CSS and HTML code. I'd settle for just the image problem, but if someone can give me guidance on the content boxes too, that would be AWESOME!
REALLY hoping anyone can help (Ben, I'm an Aussie too) - been on this for a month now.
Very grateful Adobe staffs such a great resource tool as this site with a lot of really good, courteous brainiacs.
    Thanks,
    Louis cat

    G'day Ben,
Upgraded to Dreamweaver CS5, added Tabbed Panels 2 widget to page.
    Here's a mockup of what I'm trying to do: http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B4zgjxAaUD97MmUzZTk3NjMtMDNkYi00NDJjLWExNzctOWNjMzM0MDlmMj g0&hl=en&authkey=CMWGoeEP
    Questions:
    1. Want to change Spry TP tabs to images (see link, above), then make them vertical tabs, with morph effect - How?
    2. How do I change the default TabbedPanels2 instance name? (not easy to rename)
    3. The first section of the code was planted in my index page - shouldn't this be pasted into a CSS file, or just leave it alone?

  • [Helix] Panel replaced twice digitizer dead and hdmi no longer working

    hi all,
Appologies for the length, but despite my frustrations over aspects of the helix (fan, heat, digitzer not always working etc) I've been happy that I'd bought the device as a "right choice", hence the high level of frustration at things going differently...
3-4 weeks ago my helix started suffering with up to half the screen no longer working (from simply black to an interference style pattern).  At this stage HDMI out worked as did the digitzer, even if I couldn't see what the pen would click on.
I phoned up the CH support line (in English) and ended up with a number of nice call center people who said I'd have an engineer out for the next business day.  I then had a period of 3 days without being called, and after chasing on the support was informed a part had been ordered.  Two days later I had a visit from the engineer.
The on-site engineer, like the call staff, was very nice (even in the face of having to sit in a restaurant to look at the panel).  He returned the device the next day with a brand new panel.  However I then discovered the digitzer wasn't working.
A week later after a series of remote software installations and bios upgrades another on-site engineer came out.  He too was very pleasent, and was also visibily irratated that the digitzer didn't work after yet another panel swap.
In all cases I had to chase the support to find out what the current status was.  This I find to be poor customer service - a simple email or status page would have been great and let me know even a little of what was going on.
Whats worse service is that I still, after chasing again, have no idea what course of action I should take.  One option the engineer gave was to send the device away for up to 4 days (to esag), or perhaps order a new motherboard or other piece....
This is my first, and at this rate probably my last thinkpad, so I have no idea what I should expect and no great deal of confidence despite the clear best intentions of those with whom I've interacted that even if I send it away I'll get a fixed laptop back.  The knowledge on helix's in ch simply seems to low.
Does anyone here, lenovo guys of course included, have any clues as to what I can expect / what my next actions should be?
    Cheers,
    Chris

well to answer my own question and make sure others know to stay away from Helix / possibly Lenovo...
I had the machine replaced.  The DOA team and the lenovo team were again great, I can't state this clearly enough.  But they are helping on a badly made / designed / engineered product.  It overheats, the pen stops working (usb device not recognized etc), could be the flex in the screen but its definitely a hardware problem.
The replacement came, worked for 2 weeks and then died.  Then I had to go through the same remote support - install everything - process as before.   Again, as before, the machine was simply not functioning.
The replacement got replaced.  The new one worked for 6 weeks before it started happening again.  As of last week the pen no longer works at all, same as before.
Off to start another round of attempting to get a replacement or this time a refund.
Again to be clear, there is only one device on the market that has the same functionality as this - the Fujitsu, and I love the functionality and the excellent keyboard, but I can't really rely on the machines quality at all.
More accurately I can only rely on the lack of build quality :<

  • Button panel replaced by JTable result set

Hi guys. Here's the problem. Below is my current working code.
When run - a JOption pane opens, into which I type the database location (using /'s instead of \'s as it is a String input).
The main UI opens. That indicates that the connection was successful. The UI consists of a JPanel (north) containg a number of buttons. Below that is a space for a JTable. Each button represents a diiferent query to the database and a different result set is displayed in the JTable beneath the buttons depending on which button is clicked.
    This all works fine.
However I would like to now modify the code so that when the program runs the user is faced with the JPanel containing the Buttons only. And when a button is clicked the current panel is replaced with a full JTable containing the result set.
So basically I want a JPanel with a number of buttons. Once clicked the result set JTable is displayed fully in the JFrame possibly with another button to bring the user back to the initial button panel.

  • Panel replacement for W530

    Dear all,
Some months ago, in this forum, I was requesting information about the compatibility of panels for the W530 wince my panel, AUO B156HTN01, is an underperforming panel. The contrast ratio I get is lower than 400:1 (average 330:1) and the colour cast I get from it is too blue. While I do have an X Rire i1 Display Pro to correct any casts with the LUT of the graphics card, I still have issues with viewing angles (quite poor) and a bit of a magenta cast and the low contrast ratio as well as the screen door effect which is annoying in white or near white surfaces.
I am a photographer and I would love to trust this computer for field work and colour sensitive work but the difference between this and my NEC monitor is too great to ignore. So, hoping that the v4 or v7 will improve things compared to the panel I was given, I feel like I have nothing much to loose.
So, I have researched a bit on trying to get my hands on a B156HW01 v4 panel or a v7 (glossy with better contrast ratio than v4) and besides the used ones cannibalized from other systems, I have never been able to get a good replacement.
Until now. I managed to get one old stock seller through a contact in Asia and will be getting a v7 since v4s are really out of stock everywhere I can find. The ones that try to sell you v4s will likely send you a "compatible" part...but not the same panel.
I know glossy isn't everyone's taste and it is certainly not mine, but I have colleagues that happily work on their very glossy macs and while they do appreciate the nice matt monitors, the gloss hasn't stopped any of them from working. The colour discrepancy in the B156HTN01 is definitively stopping me from working so I am going to give that a go. Better accuracy on glossy is better than a crap matt.
I'll be posting differences on a before and after state of the computer. To make it very fair, I will re-install everything (windows and the lot) to make sure nothing from previous colour calibration is left behind on this computer to alter the perception of the panels.
If anyone in the UK or EU is interested, I'd be happy to get another one and we can split the total. The panels would be coming to to the UK so if you are in the EU you would need to cover the postage from me to you.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Final part.
For anyone in the UK, please be aware that your parcel may take around 10 days to clear customs and an extra 48hrs for Parcelforce to deliver the parcel to you.
So, after that long wait, I received the new v7 panel and proceeded to make the exchange.
Before that, however, to give the B156HTN01 panel a fair opportunity to prove itself, I took some photographs with the default colour management profile from Lenovo. See the first two images, blue cast, two angles.
Now, to make my point, I ran a quick profile with the largest palette in i1 Profiler (Yes, I know it has its drawbacks, but for a quickie, the profile is not horribly wrong and the contrast ratio is persistent)
    This is the result.
See the contrast ratio here is 247:1...very poor.
I followed this gentleman's video to make the exchange.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igk0MiqZ_ck
To take the bezel out, however, I used a lens clening microfibre cloth to place my fingertips in between the screen and bezel and it popped out in an easier fashion than what that video shows. So if you go through with this, mind that.
Test after replacement to see if it works.
    Glossy Display W530
Default color management profile on new v7 panel vs NEC PA241w monitor for reference (the NEC screen is calibrated for 6500k, aRGB gamut and gamma 2.2)
Now, profling with DispcalGUI takes a while, but, since we want to measure the success or failure of the new v7 panel, I ran it. The following screenshot shows the almost matching screens with the v7 and NEC monitor AFTER profliing with DispcalGUI.
I was a bit tired so I missed the horizontal framing for these two photos. This is DiscalpGUI's report.
Mind the 632:1 contrast ratio now and that the black luminance is not too bad at 0.2cd/m2. It is not an impressive contrast ratio by today's many 1000+:1 screens but it is very good for a 2 year old panel able to display most of Adobe RGB's colour gamut as seen in this comparison with NEC's Spectraview graph. DispcalGUI for v7 on the left and Spectraview for NEC PA241w on the right.
On DispcaGUI, the dotted line is the AdobeRGB spectrum and in Spectraview's its the yellow line.
    Not bad, eh?
