HP P2014

I'm using a MacBook Pro 13-inch, Early 2011 and a HP printer Laser Jet P2014 (Drivers are up to date) on Yosemite 10.10.3 connected in wifi with an airPort Express via my IP address.
I'm using Apple Pages 5.5.3
If I would like to print envelopes or labels, and it's always off. Sometime it dosent print on it, sometime it's in the wrong direction, sometime it dosent print at all on the document.
I've stumble on several forums, but I can't seem to find a solution with my printer.
I've tried changing the paper orientation in the file>print menu
Let's say I would like to print labels, I change the paper format that represent the size of one sheet of labels. I create a grid of 1 X 5 on a 6" X 3" sized paper. I enter my text in the boxes I've created and I place my sheet in my printer in the top tray. There is an ajustable guide for smaller sized paper. When I press print, my 6" X 3" paper go trough the printer and come out blank. When I just print it on a regular sized paper, A4 for example, it come out and the 1 X 5 grid is printed in the good orientation but at the bottom left part of the paper. The size is good as well.
Same thing is happening for envelopes.
Anyone would have a solution for me?

HP Laserjet P2014 - How to uninstall it?

Hi everybody.
This printer is shared in a local network. When a printer job is sent to the printer server, it is queued twice by win7 workstations. Host based driver was the originally installed but show this issue. I tried to install PCL5 driver but installation stalls. When I tried to uninstall the driver, I found out that files remain in computer. How can I fully uninstall this printer?

The LJ 1015 does not use a toner cartridge that has a memory tag and therefore there is not a cartridge page count. However, there is a page count for the printer itself which can be accessed thru either holding the button down on the printer for 5 seconds or printing the configuration page through the toolbox application.

HP Laserjet P2014 will not open web page

I have an HP 2014 that I can print to by IP address, but cannot open the web page. I also cannot receive a SNMP reply to the device. Any ideas?

Issue with updating partitioned table

Hi,
Anyone seen this bug with updating partitioned tables.
Its very esoteric - its occurs when we update a partitioned table using a join to a temp table (not non-temp table) when the join has multiple joins and you're updating the partitoned column that isn't the first column in the primary key and the table contains a bit field. We've tried changing just one of these features and the bug disappears.
We've tested this on 15.5 and 15.7 SP122 and the error occurs in both of them.
Here's the test case - it does the same operation of a partitioned table and a non-partitioned table, but the partitioned table shows and error of "Attempt to insert duplicate key row in object 'partitioned' with unique index 'pk'".
I'd be interested if anyone has seen this and has a version of Sybase without the issue.
Unfortunately when it happens on a replicated table - it takes down rep server.

wrt to replication - it is a bit unclear as not enough information has been stated to point out what happened. I also am not sure that your DBA's are accurately telling you what happened - and may have made the problem worse by not knowing themselves what to do - e.g. 'losing' the log points to fact that someone doesn't know what they should.   You can *always* disable the replication secondary truncation point and resync a standby system, so claims about 'losing' the log are a bit strange to be making.
wrt to ASE versions, I suspect if there are any differences, it may have to do with endian-ness and not the version of ASE itself.   There may be other factors.....but I would suggest the best thing would be to open a separate message/case on it.

Manual duplex for LaserJet 1300 in Windows 8.1

Hello.
I'm using HP LaserJet 1300 under windows 8.1. I can't print pdf file on both sides of the page. When I choose this option it just prints the whole document. This printer is also used for windows XP and windows 7 and manual both side printing works fine there. I've installed drivers form hp site for windows 8.1
Help me please.

I have the same problem. Is there a solution? Even when it says it is printing double-sided it does not, and it's incredibly wasteful of paper! I see a lot of people asking the same question on different discussions and have only seen one answer that required modifying text in an .xml file. However, I could not find the file that the person referenced. This is the answer I saw (found at https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/171987b1-0d50-4dbb-93c7-67067eb0fbf7/hp-la... I believe they were using a different driver. Is there a similar answer for the PCL5 driver for Win8.1 64 bit?
Open the file called "hpcu1306.xml". You will probably find it under "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3" ("C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\XXX\3" for non-x64 systems).

What cert to go after to start my server career

Hello, so I have decided to continue my education but I am confused a bit about where to start. I am currently in a IT job and have been for 4 years. I am planning to start my MSCA: Windows 7 cert, but I want to do servers in the long run. I don't know much,
if any about networks. I don't know If I should start with MTA: IT infrastructure (98-364) or should I start somewhere else?
Side note, anyone know of a good book for the MTA class? Only ones I found is at amazon for 60 bucks

You said you have been working in IT for four years. Depending on your job, you are probably a good candidate to go for MCSA and eventually the MCSE.
You may want to skip going for MCSA: Windows 7 if you think you are going to end up becoming certified in Windows Server 2012. The MCSA: Windows 7 title will
not help you earn the big MCSE. It would just require you to pass extra exams. You would most likely want to go for MCSA: Windows Server 2012, which is a "stepping stone" for MCSE: Windows Server 2012.
The MTA exams are usually taken by people just coming out of school for IT. They are considered an easier certification and don't give you any credit towards your MCSA. Perhaps a MTA certification would be a good first step for you before working towards
the MCSA: Windows Server 2012.
NOTE: I am a little confused about you stating MTA exam 98-364, which is on databases. I suspect you meant one of the other MTA exams, such as 98-365.
