HP Pavilion g6 Won't detect charger

I have a HP Pavilion g6 running windows 7.
I have had the laptop a little under a month.
When i turned the laptop on today I found that it would not detect the charger as neither windows or the LED indicator next to the charging port would notify me that the laptop is charging. However when the charger is plugged in the battery does not lose charge, also the laptop will remain on without the battery as long as the charger is plugged in. I am aware it is still under warranty but if anybody knows of a solution so i can avoid the hassle of sending it off it would be greatly appreciated.

The notebook's card reader won't detect some of our SDHC cards. We have updated the driver to the latest version, Realtek PCIE 6.1.7601.90, and the BIOS, but it still won't recognize some of our cards.
We have six SDHC cards, three SanDisk (4, 32 and 32 GB), two Kingston (8 and 8 GB) and one Integral (4 GB). The card reader recognizes four of them (4 and 32 GB SanDisk cards and one of the two Kingston cards). What is strange and that you may have already noticed is that the card reader recognizes only one of two cards with the same brand and capacity!
About the two cards that don't get recognized in our notebook, they work properly in their corresponding cameras and are detected without problems by another HP Pavilion dv6-3138so notebook card reader, as well as by two netbooks of ours from two different brands.
When we connect the cameras (one Canon and one Sony, both point-and-shoot) to the computer via a USB 2.0 cable, the laptop detects the cameras and through them we can access the cards.
We purchased the laptop less than two weeks ago in Helsinki, Finland.

Hey Everyone,
Using a high capacity card in a standard card reader slot will cause this issue. Im going to guess that the cards you ar having issues with are the SDHC cards and not the standard SD cards. As Naoto stated, by using a camera as a card reader you an workaround this. You can also look into SDHC card reader adapters. Here is a good article on the SDHC cards: http://goo.gl/lj5Fq

IPod touch isn't detected by computer, won't even charge.

I'm on windows 7, and when I try to plug in my iPod touch it won't come up in Computer or in iTunes. I've reinstalled iTunes, reset the iPod, checked the USB port. What's curious is that it won't even charge. I plugged the iPod into my laptop and it came up fine. It just won't connect to my desktop, any suggestions?

I've had this problem too.
What I do is use alt+Tab to switch windows.

Windows 7 will pop up a message IN THE BACKGROUND
saying, .what do yiu wNt to do?
Inport photos, open to view files, and close,
Click close.
.and that always solves the problem for me,
Yiu see, what's happening is that windows is literally holding the uos devie back from fully connecting
it so it will be able to chsrge since it thinks you always wanna do something with the photos.

ActiveSync won't detect my Treo 750

Help!!
I started with Windows Mobile 5 before with Activesync 4.2 and it worked just fine.
a year ago, I updated my palm with WM 6 and Activesync 4.5 and it worked just fine.
Recently, I have got new laptop from my company and try to re-install activesync.
During the process, I accidentally deleted the connection in my palm and everything is gone!!!
I tried to install activesync 4.5 in my new laptop and try to connect them, however, activesync won't detect my device. It did not even charge my mobile.
Curious enough, I tried to connect it with my other laptop at home (using Activesync 4.5) and it did not detect the device as well. Running out of idea, I removed Activesync in my home laptop and install Activesync 4.2. Try to connect and it worked!!! However, an error message came out saying that I need to have ActiveSync 4.5 to synchronize with WM 6.
I uninstall the ActiveSync 4.2 and install 4.5 in the laptop and try to synchronize again. But this time, same situation happens again where Activesync did not recognize my device!!!
What to do, I am running out of idea. Help me please...

I went through all the recommended steps I found online and spent 2 hours with palm support and 1 hour with Dell support and still was unable to connect my att palm treo 750 using activesync when I had successfully done so in the past. I am using a treo 750 with winmobile 5 ver and activesync 4.2 connecting to win XP pro. I would see the phone in my device manager but it would not connect. This is what I discovered that fixed my problem and not just on my Dell computer but another computer I have as well. I would go into the phone to Start/Settings/Connections Tab and found USB to PC and check the box to allow advanced connections. I would then remove the battery. unplug the USB cable and reinstall the battery. After phone boot up, plug usb in and attempt connection again and it would fail. Again open on the phone the Start/Settings/Connections Tab and found USB to PC and uncheck the box to allow advanced connections. If connection fails (it probably will) pull battery from phone and unplug USB. reinstall battery to reboot phone then plug the USB cable back in. My device would again connect.. This needs to be done every once in a while because of the buggy phone and/or activesync software. I hope this helps anyone and prevents them from wasting as much time as I have on keeping an otherwise good phone in sync with an xp computer. Peace and long live a free internet and quality software....

ITunes won't detect my iPhone!

Can somebody let me know why my new iPhone 3G won't be detected on my iTunes using a regular USB cable??
I have all the latest iTunes and I know my USB works on my regular iPod nano ... but it won't detect my iTunes to charge the phone.

Computer Won't Detect iPhone5?

Hey,
I recently bought an iPhone5 and downloaded and installed iTunes etc. I installed all required updates.
Problem is, my computer won't detect the iPhone at all. I've tested my old phone and my computer picks that up just fine, but with the iPhone it doesn't find it at all. I'm not just referring to iTunes. It doesn't pick it up at all, as in it doesn't show underneath MyComputer or under Removable Devices.
Can anyone help?

I would call Apple or take it and its cable to an Apple store. It could be a bad cable, even if it charges, because there are 8 wires in the cable and only 2 are involved in charging. PC won't detect iPad. HELP!

Hi everyone, i do really need some help from u guys. well my pc won't detect my ipad. the cable's fine (using it for charging) i even tried 2 cables but still same effect.
but sometimes when i plug my ipad to my pc and reboot my ipad while plugged, a message pops out and said "usb device not recognized"

Hi folks.
This has been an issue for some time now. My PC won't detect my BB Curve 8330. It used to, but one day it just stopped.
I just installed the latest BB Desktop Software (7.1), and I also upgraded to Windows 7 (and got the updates) and it didn't help. I've also restarted, pulled the battery, checked USB cords.

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.

I have a new Ipad 2. iTunes won't detect it.

I have a new iPad 2, i need connect my iPad with iTunes to use. But iTunes won't detect it. I used lastest version iTunes and win7. When i connect iPhone 4 with my laptop, it's good. But it can't recognize iPad2. What's the probleme here?

I have a similar problem, but it began when i installed iTunes 10.5.2.11 on my windows 7 computer and tried to install the latest update to ipad2 software. Prior to installing the new itunes, i had been able to sync with itunes easily and as expected.
After installing the new version of iTunes - the ipad2 began to act strangely:
it did not charge correctly even when connected to OEM power adapter ("not charging" message appeared when plugged in)... this still appears to be an issue, though it does not happen all the time.
the computer no longer recognizes the ipad device (i have tried different cables and it does recognize my ipod nano)
i am afraid to reset the ipad for fear that i will still not be able to connect afterwards and i will have lost all the apps currently installed.
Any hints on how to go about fixing this issue?

Hello there I have a iPod touch 2g it heats up when I try to charge it. Its not in warranty anymore sadly. I tried to do the DFU mode and iTunes won't detect it.

Hp Pavilion is now not detecting the battery all of the sudden after 1 1/2 years.

My Hp Pavilion laptop is not detecting the battery. I can't seem to find information anywhere regarding how to resolve this issue. The battery was detected as of yesterday and was charging still at a "good" level. The battery Icon has an X and "No battery detected" .
Why does this happen and how to resolve it. I've tried taking off and on the battery several times as well as rebooting. NO luck!

I recently upgraded my iTunes (7.3.1) and now it won't sync w/ my iPhone or even detect it. Any suggestions on what I ca do? I removed itunes software,restarted computer and downloaded again- still nothing. in fact now it won't even charge through the USB port!

I believe that the newest iTunes is 7.3.2.
I would try to download again.

I didn't have a problem when I had a Canon Pixma on the network, but when I replaced it with the Epson nothing seems to work. I go to add a printer to the queue and only the FAX function of the printer shows up - not the WS-4530 print function. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Please??? :-)

It's possible that since I reinstalled the OS, it still needs to be set up, so there's only a welcome screen (but since I can't see it I'm not sure).
