HP PSC 1315V

All-in-One will not reinstall. I get the following:
I had all the current updates. Also tried a new 6ft USB cord. The device works. I can scan documents. But I would prefer to have the All-in-One working so that I can scan documents, saving them as multiple page PDF's.
The reason I uninstalled and reloaded was that the ability to scan was becoming a nuisance. Seemed to have started with the software update from August 2014.
Any suggestions?

  • PSC 1315v "Check Print Cartridge" error

    After printing, my printer started displaying this error. I bought new cartridges and cleaned the contacts, but nothing seems to be working. I'm a little peeved, because I would hate to throw out $75 worth of ink. Ideas?

    I have the exact same printer and I'm having the exact same problem.  It doesn't even let me scan anything, which is very odd because scanning shouldn't have anything to do with cartridges. 
    next time buy the ink on ebay - some places sell the ink for $30 with free shipping (I think maybe because it's recycled?).

  • Need assistance in using psc 1315v printer on snow leopard

    My printer doesn't work on snow leopard. I tried the add printer in system preferences, but when I tried to add the printer it stated the driver is not available from apple, contact manufacturer. I then tried to reinstall my drivers from HP, but that didn't work. Snow Leopard recognizes my printer, but I am unable to add this printer, and if i am able to add this printer with the HP driver it won't let me printer.
    There has to be a generic driver within the list of printers apple provides which will let me use the printing function of the printer. Do you guys have any recommendations regarding which driver is the generic one that will work?

    "OK, this is partly my fault. When I first posted the instructions earlier in this thread, I thought that the print drivers for this device were already in Snow Leopard. As it turns out, only the scan drivers are there at the moment. The print drivers should be made available at some point in the future through Apple Software Update. In the meantime you might get some of the functionality back by installing the 10.5 drivers for your device. This method however is NOT supported by HP and as such is not recommended."

    Dell XPZ430 with 32 bit Vista and HP psc 1315v all-in-one Printer operate OK, but recently HP Solution Center - used for status, scanning etc when selected, shows only
    "no devices detected - HP Solution Center is going ot shut down"
    How to proceed?
    HP Support Website is screwed up (does not recognise the product, nor the typed name) and re-installing software does not seem to spolve problem.
    Tried HP Print and Scan Doctor - but hot-links" do not work there either.

    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I understand you are not able to use Solution Center for your PSC 1315v on your Computer running the Windows Vista Operating system, when you attempt to open it you get a '"no devices detected - HP Solution Center is going to shut down' error message.  I see you have tried reinstalling the software with no success. Let's try a different approach. Please follow the steps listed below:
    1. Unplug the USB if using a direct connection.
    2. Remove the HP PSC 1315v software from your computers Control Panel's Uninstall a program option.
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Make sure all the PSC 1315v software is gone from the programs list as well as your HP folder listed under the All programs in your Start Menu.
    5. Now go ahead and download the software and drivers for your PSC 1315v (DO NOT plug in USB until the software prompts you to):

    7. Once installed, click here- under the Updates section, make sure these have all been installed.

  • The scanner portion of my HP C6150 printer isn't being initialized/found by our system.

    We had our Imac hard drive replaced by a authoerized dealer/repair shop several months ago. We also have a HP C6150 printer/scanner/fax. We only use the printer and scanner. The system doesn't want to initialize the scanner. says scanner can't be found. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software but the scanner still isn't being reconized. What can I do to correct this? Please help.

    So until now, the drivers installed on your computer is only the driver that was installed during plug and play?
    If so, and you're unable to install the software from the CD, try downloading it from the website.
    PSC 1315V Full Feature Driver/software download
    If you're still unable to install the full feature driver/software,then something on your pc is indeed blocking the hp installation to block.
    Try doing a selective startup:
    -Press START button.
    -Click RUN
    -Type inside the open box: msconfig (not case sensitive) then press the ok button.
    -On the system configuration window, go to STARTUP and temporarily disable everything by clicking on DISABLE ALL, press apply button but don't press ok yet. If in case it comes up with access denied, ignore it.
    -Still under syste configuration window, go to SERVICES and check the tiny box below that says HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES. You may now click on DISABLE ALL again. and then press ok. (You hide the microsoft services so that your computer will still boot up)
    -Restart the computer
    Now you should run the installation again whether from the CD or the downloaded drivers.
    ---Click KUDOS if you want to say THANKS.

  • Trouble printing

    I have an all-in-one printer, scanner & copier - Model PSC`1315V - I can scan, print a test page - make a copy of document but cannot print anything from the computer - either on notebook word  or print out an E-mail - when i write a document and press print - it show printer working but nothing happens.
    I have trtied unplugging everything - and starting - followed instruction on HP troubleshooting page - all to no use. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be

    What operating system?  What programs have the problem?  Will it print from Notepad?  Are there any error messages?

  • Had firefox sadly uninstalled in error Now i cannot re install VERY frustrated

    I installed firefox and in error i uninstalled it I have tried more than a dozen times to reinstall. It informs me that it is already on my PC and i need to uninstall . I have looked everywhere (70 year old silver surfer) and i cannot find on my PC Please help be to use this wonderful facility

    I replaced ink cartridges now every time I turn on my hp psc 1315v all in one it prints another alignment page and tells me to align print cartridges I have done this repeatedly,but it keeps printing and telling me to align.I have removed and replaced cartridges but no help.     Thanks for the post.  I'm not sure what OS you are operating under but I have seen instances of this in the MAC OS X environment.  I've included some great information below on how to be rid of this "error" message.  
    Good Luck!
    Regarding ink alerts and other messages that reoccur after hitting OK on the pop up.  I have learned that in some products you need to actually go into the Message Center and acknowledge the messages there in order for the pop ups to stop.  Simply hitting OK on the pop up does not terminate the alert.  You can Ctrl-Click and highlight all of the messages and acknowledge en masse in the Message Center.
    Please make sure that we are acknowledging the ink alerts and such IN the message center. 
    If these steps do not resolve the issue, there is also the option of turning the messages off altogether. Go to HP utility, should be in the dock or in the Hewlett Packard folder in applications. In there you have an option for message center, in there you can go to settings in the top right, and then uncheck the boxes for displaying alerts.

  • EPrint capable ?

    Im new to this, so forgive me if Im incorrect in asking for advice on this forum and I should be somewhere else? I have just learned of the Google Cloud Print and need to know if anyone knows if my printer would be ePrint capable? I have an HP PSC 1315v All in one printer(1310 series) and am using Windows 7 Ultimate operating system.

    Hello,
    You have an older printer and it does not support HP's ePrint service. HP ePrint didn't hit the streets until Spring of 2010 and now most new consumer printers ship with the feature.

  • Will not print if I choose less than whole document

    I have an HP psc 1315v all-in-one. Recently our Dell computer crashed and we replaced it with an HP Pavilion Slimline s3700f PC. We have had several wrinkles to work through since then such as getting it to scan. The latest wrinkle is not printing if we don't choose to print the whole document. I noticed it happens in Word also. If I am in Internet Explorer (IE7), and click on Print Preview and choose pages 1 - 3 in the print menu rather than the whole document, the little printer icon appears down below but it says "0 document(s) pending for Don."  It does not print it. How do I get back this functionality? Thanks. Don

  • Installer Authentication error " ... installer has unexpectedly quit"

    When I try to install various items I get the message "The application installer has unexpectedly quit." This happens for any application I try to install, including when I try to do a software update. It happens exactly after I type my adminstrator password in the Authenticate screen and click OK. It happens whether I am downloading from the Web, or trying to install from a CD/DVD. My computer is a Lombard PB 400, 256 ram, OS 10.2.8.
    The problem began when I tried to install a new version of iTunes and the computer froze in the middle of the install. It also happens when I try to update anything through Software Updater, try to install from an optical drive, and I'm thinking it will happen anywhere that I have an installation authentication requirement. I really don't want to reinstall my whole system and do all the updates, so if anyone knows something else I can try, or can help me pinpoint the problem, I would appreciate it.
    Thinking the problem was specific to iTunes I first tried solutions specific to that application, then I broadened my approach to system-wide troubleshooting. I continue to get the error. I have:
    1) Downloaded another copy of the iTunes install package
    2) Deleted everything iTunes from my computer
    3) Put the System>Library>Caches>(something software) folder in the trash and restarted the computer. I took it back out and put it back, but when I restarted it was gone, and I forget the original name of the folder.
    4) Repaired disk permissions started from the HD
    5) Restarted from the original system install disk, repaired disk and repaired permissions
    6) Created and tested a new user with admin permissions
    7) Looked at the crash log and this is the first part of what I got (the rest is PPC thread state):

  • Can't print from iBook G4 via Windows XP to an HP PSC 1410

    I realize this question is very similar to others on this discussion but I haven't been able to find an answer to my problem.
    I cannot print from my iBook via XP to an HP PSC 1410.
    I can print from my iBook via XP to an HP LaserJet 4L.
    I was able to print from my iBook via XP to an HP882C that was connected
    to the same USB port that the HP PSC 1410 is connected to now.
    I have an iBook G4 running 10.4.3
    I have a PC running XP with an HP LaserJet 4L on a parallel port and an HP PSC 1410 on a USB port.
    I installed the following from http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hpijs/
    hpijs-foomatic-2.02.ppc.dmg
    espgs-7.07.1.ppc.dmg
    HP-PSC_1400-hpijs.ppd
    I think I correctly followed the instructions at:

    They worked for the LaserJet printer.
    When I attempt to print from the iBook to the 1410 the HP doesn't print at all.
    I don't see any error messages on the iBook. The document gets spooled onto the Windows print spooler, the printer even starts making noises, the print heads move about a bit and then stop. The print job just sits there in the queue with a status of "Printing". The print job is then stuck and hard to delete.
    I don't need to be able to scan or check ink levels from the iBook.
    I would just like to be able to do color printing.
    What else should I try? Given the symptoms where might I be going wrong?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   1 Gig RAM

    I finally figured out what the issue was, Why it fixes it I can not say,
    but it does.
    On the Shared printer on the Windows side, go to the properties of the Printer.
    Go to the Ports tab, and deselect the "Enable bidirectional Support" (do not
    have it checked). Once this is done and you also do not have any firewalls
    setup on the Windows machine (Windows, MCAfee, Norton, ....). You should be
    able to print.
    Finally!!!!! I hope this helps many many people. As I have had many
    people asking for the solution if I found it.

  • Is there a Macintosh OS 8.6 or 9.0.4 printer driver for an HP PSC 2355?

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
    I know this is very old {don't laugh}, but I was looking for a Macintosh OS 8.6 or 9.0.4 printer driver for my recently purchased HP PSC 2355 All-in-One printer.
    I run OS X 10.5.8 on an Apple iBook G4 and also run a Mac OS 9.0.4 emulator on it called SheepShaver. Trouble is SheepShaver will only run up to Mac OS 9.0.4 and the HP PSC 2355 minimum drivers are for Mac OS 9.1.
    I would love to be able to print from SheepShaver and the scanner features are unimportant to me under Mac OS 9.
    Are there printing drivers (even from a different, but compatible printer) that would allow me to print from this printer under Mac OS 9.0.4?

    When you say you recently purchased the PSC 2355, i believe this is a very old printer.
    I am not sure on how the SheepShaver works but we do have the printer driver available for 10.9 on hp.com. The first link mentioned below will take to the product page. Rest all are some of the InkJet and DeskJet drivers.
