HP Touch to Pair Mouse

Hello,
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I brought an HP Touch to Pair Mouse (H4R81AA) the other day along with an HP Split x2 (13-f010dx) laptop. I setup everything with the mouse and laptop, and it was working at first, but then it stopped. I get an error saying something about "driver not supported". Is this mouse supported for this laptop/windows 8.1 or do I need to purchase a new mouse?

Hi SouthernGirl98,
I understand your wireless mouse is not staying connected to your computer. It sounds like you need an updated driver. See, HP Split 13-f010dx x2 PC Drivers, specifically the section "Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices". Press the download button to the right. Hopefully this solves your issue. Have a great day.

  • HP Bluetooth Touch to Pair Mouse H4R81AA stopped working frequently

My HP touch to pair mouse H4R81AA started this problem right after warranty is expired. It stopped working after 2-3 minutes and I have to turn off and turn it back on to work with any laptops running Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. I tried with several laptops but same issue occurred. Is there a way to reset the mouse or update the firmware or I just have to toss it away?

I have had the same problem with my H4R81AA and looking for an answer! Quite dissatisfied with this device actually, ever since I bought it

  • What is wrong with my headphone jack? i have an ipod touch 4th generation ipod touch every pair of headphones and earbuds i plug in it has the same sound going to both sides.

what is wrong with my headphone jack? i have an ipod touch 4th generation ipod touch every pair of headphones and earbuds i plug in it has the same sound going to both sides.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Hi, I tried all the tricks listed here with no luck, but I think I've finally found the solution.
Try using "any device" option, then, when the assistant tries to pair with the device, there's a button called "passkey options", click it and then select the option "Don't use a passkey".
The mouse will pair successfully. Mine is working great on my iMac.

  • Authentication failure when attempting to pair mouse

For the last couple years I've had my Iogear Bluetooth mouse paired nicely with my Powerbook via a USB Bluetooth dongle (the built-in bluetooth doesn't work). Last week I paired my mouse with a friend's MacBook for several hours. When I tried to resume using the mouse with my own Powerbook, it was no longer paired, so I made a trip to Bluetooth Mouse Setup to initiate a new pairing. Unfortunately this no longer works; it finds the mouse successfully, but shortly after it reaches the "Pairing with your Bluetooth mouse" step, it displays a message in red lettering:
The pairing attempt was unsuccessful due to authentication failure. When ready, click Continue to try again.
I've retried the process many times during the last few evenings, but to no avail. Discoverable is turned on. I even reinstalled the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo update - still no go. Today I took my Bluetooth USB dongle and mouse to a Windows computer at work, and pairing worked just fine there, so I know it is not a hardware issue. Has anyone encountered this pairing error, and been able to resolve it?

I've been going crazy with this issue the last two days.
I had previously been using a Targus Bluetooth Mouse for Mac, but I have had to revert to an old Powerbook G4 as my main computer. I wanted to continue using my bluetooth mouse so after two tries I finally found a bluetooth dongle that the Mac recognizes. It seems to work like a charm, and is only annoying because of its bright green LED that blinks ceaselessly.
However I was most disappointed to find that when attempting to pair with my mouse, it recognized the mouse, connected, but then stalled out on the pairing process with the same red text message mentioned here.
I tried pairing with my old Palm m515 and that worked perfectly.
I booted up to a 10.4.11 install on an external drive and found the mouse to pair up and work perfectly.
Then I installed 10.5.4 on an external drive and it too connected perfectly. I tried creating a new user on my main drive's 10.5.8 install and that did not solve the problem. At this point I thought my main drive's 10.5.8 install was corrupt for some reason. I backed up my drive via Time Machine and proceeded the 6 hour new system fresh install.
My Leopard install disc is version 10.5.4. The mouse paired and worked great after the initial install. It was all for nought, however, because upon installing the 10.5.8 update on this untouched fresh system, the mouse was no longer recognized and would stall at the pairing process. I even got a kernel panic this time.
I don't know what Apple did between 10.5.4 and 10.5.8, but whatever it is made pairing with a bluetooth mouse via a Bluetooth dongle seemingly impossible. I assume there will be no fix for this since they have moved on to Snow Leopard.
Since people are having this same problem regardless of their dongle brand or mouse brand, I suppose I can be confident that this is not a hardware issue. Especially since the hardware all works perfectly up to at least 10.5.4. I'm not sure when it breaks because I just go straight from 10.5.4 to the 10.5.8 combo update.

  • Touch Optimizer and Mouse optimizer dont work since updates

I noticed during the last update that the mouse optimizer and touch optimizer programs dont work. When you go to open them it says the application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. Any ideas?

Fortunately, I had a ghosted image of my hd, so I just had  to roll it back one week. It is now where it was, one week prior to these upgrades, and there is no sign of any sort of "optomizers".
I had the update program run again, and sure enough these same upgrades are showing up again, but upon reading them more carefully, they are for the 8 series, might be the reason it is creating a problem on the 5 series. Unfortunately, a complete restore is the only way to be rid of these "upgrades"
They really should only be sent down to series 8 machines, as I didn't read it too carefully, and installed it myself, next time I will be a little more careful...

  • Touch pad and mouse

My Microsoft wireless mouse and my laptop touch pad are not working properly.  Example:  when I click a link in an email, I normally would left click & the link would open.  Now, with both devices, I must right click the link & choose the open command, which isn't that big of a deal but some links won't open with any kind of click.   It would correct itself if I did a system restore, but restore doesn't work anymore because my computer had a vius.  I have uninstalled & reinstalled, drives are up to date.  I have checked the settings for both, normal right hand set up.  Am I missing something?  Any help would be greatly apprecciated.
    Thanks,
    Kate

I grasp that you mouse and TouchPad are not functioning correctly as you have no left click on either.  You have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and checking the settings but no change.
You did state you are unable to do a recovery as you had a virus and is no longer available.
I would check again for  viruses and  malware just to be sure.

Although this is not a recommendation  many people have used Malwarebytes for removal of unwanted software  with much success.

If the issue remains, I would do a recovery back to factory.

  • Pairing mouse and keyboard

Unable to get my mouse and keyboard (wireless) to connect to the Mac.  How do I make that connect happen.

I assume you've checked the obvious - good batteries the right way round and both devices turned on before booting.
If you have a wired keyboard and mouse have a look in System Preferences>Bluetooth and make sure 'on' and 'discoverable' are ticked. You may also want to tick 'Show bluetooth in the menu bar.
Also click on the Advanced button and make sure you have ticks against the first three tick boxes.
You might need to restart, making sure the keyboard and mouse are on and hopefully you'll be able to pair them with the Mac.

  • HT204368 iPod Touch not pairing with a device, when it did yesterday

I was able to connect my iPod Touch to my Samsung soundbar yesterday via Bluetooth. However, today I am having problems. the iPod recognizes my device but when I try to connect it keeps saying "connection unsuccessful, make sure device is turned on and in range". I reset my network settings and even reset all settings on my iPod. I turned it off and back on, turned the Samsung soundbar off and on and still no luck. I have an iPhone as well and that bluetooth is connecting successfully to the soundbar everytime. When I try to connect the iPod, I make sure my iPhone bluetooth is turned off. I just keep getting the same message everytime, that the connection is unsuccessful and it is driving me crazy! Is anyone else having this problem? My software is completely up to date and it is fully charged. Again, it was working just yesterday.

The BT keyboard is recognized immediatly. Why the delay with the mouse [mice]?

Can anybody help? My computer is going to sleep and I cant wake it(bit like a teenager) by using the mouse or keyboard. I have to use the power button. Any ideas?

Hmm, that support link doesn't like me.
Do you have the discs that came with the computer? If so, put Install Disc 1 into the combo drive and boot up while holding the C key. Does anything show up on the screen? Do you hear the fan running? When running from a CD or DVD, the fan usually runs at a fairly fast pace and should make some noise.
Keep in mind that you have a 1-year hardware warranty with any new or refurbished Mac, so if something has gone wrong, you should be able to have it replaced free of charge, unless the MacBook shows some form of damage.
