HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and MacBook

Hi,
I've bought the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit to connect my printer at the wireless network. That printer is HP Color Laserjet CM1312 MFP. I've set the a static IP on the router settings and for the Windows PC, that are in my wireless network at my home, everything works well.
The problem is about the connection with the MacBook (10.6.8) because there aren't some driver or solution to obtain the access to that printer from a user that isn't on a windows.
Do you have some ideas to help me?
Best,
Matteo

  • Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and Laserjet P1006

    Hello,
I am just wondering if the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit is compatible with the HP Laserjet P1006 printer. It is not listed on the compatibility list but I have read several accounts of people who claim to be using them together. I have also read posts that state they are not compatible. Either way, they will not work together for me so I am trying to figure out if it is something I am doing wrong in the setup or if the two pieces of hardware are simply not compatible. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Lauren
P.S. I am using a Dell XPS M1310 Notebook with Vista.

    Hi,
    I guess that would help:

In turn, I was wandering if one could get away without the PC dongle to avoid the PC looking like a porcupine and rely on the PC's bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapters.

  • Will Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit support All-in-one Printer F4235?

I have not found this information in the forum, I hope someone will be able to help me.
I purchased a Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit and I'm not sure if it is compatible with my printer. I have an all-in-one F4235. The list on the box does not list this model but it says also works with most other HP printers and all-in-ones. I have checked the website and it lists the same printer so I don't know if the list just has not be updated.
I don't want to open the package until I know if it is compatible.

Yes, the HP Deskjet F4235 (F4200 series) All-in-one supports the Wireless Upgrade kit.
For more information, refer to the below weblink.

  • What's the difference between HP Wireless G Print Server and HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit?

    Hello!!
What’s the difference between HP Wireless G Print Server and HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit?
I found two things as follows.
    1. MAC support
    2. USB dongle
    Is there anything else?

    Now I’m clear!!
But there are descriptions for each on your home page over view tab. Due to this forum restriction; I cannot put the URL here.
They say for each as follows.
HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit --- Retain full all-in-one wireless functionality: print, fax from your PC, scan, and access photo memory cards access and PC status
HP Wireless G Print Server --- Get the same functionality with your all-in-one: printing, scanning, photo memory card access, PC faxing, and printer statusSo I got confusion, that’s why I did not get the difference for them.
And I found wrong description on your HP support document page. I recommend that you correct it, because it put consumer into confusion and break to buy this product.
The title is “HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit - Setting up the HP Printer with the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit in Windows .”
The wrong description is “NOTE:  You must turn on the computer with the computer adapter in order to print to the wireless product” at last line of “Step two: Configure other computers to use the printer. “
    You can erase this line!!

  • Problems with re-installing HP wireless printing upgrade kit

I had to return my Dell Inspiron 6400 to original factory settings and since then I cannot install the wireless printing upgrade kit. It says it cannot recognise the pc adapter even though Windows has installed the driver automatically for it. So hangs and won't install. I'm trying to get wireless connection for a HP Laserjet CP1215. Any ideas most welcome!

Hi, No hardware kit. The following driver is for Windows 8.1:    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32135/bi-109984-2/OJ_SF_K8600_140_408-4.exe Most likely this will work with Windows 10 for printers which are less than 3 years old. Regards.

  • Can't set up wireless printing to J6480 from MacBook Air

Jeez, I'm getting frustrated. Usually I'm pretty good at this stuff but I just can't figure this simple thing out.
I want to print to my J6480 from my MacBook Air running OS10.8.2.
Am I missing something very simple? The HP article on setting up wireless printing just says, basically, open the HP Device Manager and follow the instructions. I think I downloaded the drivers just fine, but I got no "Hewlett Packard" folder in my Applications folder, I have no Device Manager app, and I can't figure out where to download it.
Thank you in advance for any help or guidance.
    Streptile

    Hi,
after many frustrating attempts I've found the solution was incredibly simple - try to check it yourself:
Open the main Network (System preferences) tab. On the left side you'll see the list of all network devices. Move the Wi-Fi field to the top (first) position in the list (you can do it via the pop-up menu next to the + and - buttons).
It was all I needed. Immediately after this I've got the access to wireless printing and scanning. No problem since then.
My configuration is Photosmart 5010 and MacOS 10.8.3, but the action is not printer specific, so it should work for all with the same problem.
    Good luck.

  • Installing Printer to tablets and macbook

We have Photosmart D110. It works perfect wirelessly through wifi with sony laptop.
We have google nexus tablet and apple air tablet. How can we install and set up printer on these devices?
We installed the printer into a macbook pro by connecting the USB, however, I was not given the option to print wirelessly.  How can set up the wireless printing abilities between the two devices? I was going to download a new driver from hp website, but could not find one to download.

Try installing the "HP All-in-One Printer Remote" app which is available for both Android and iOS devices.  iOS devices are also able to print to Air Print enabled printers directly without the need to install any additional apps.
    I work for HP.

  • Printing to wireless printer hangs PC and does no print job is output from printer

    1) Hi I have the following configuration:
    - B110 all in one wireless HP device with a static IP
    - AMD 64 desktop running Window XP professional with the latest service packs and patches, also running Symantec Firewall and Antivirus and also a static IP address
    2) I can access using HTTP the printer from my desktop and perform a scan, inspect the printer ink levels and configuration all ok
    3) I have installed the printer drivers on the desktop and executed all tasks in the setup wizard, when the wizard checks communication with the printer some errors are detected that the some ports may be blocked so I:
    3.1) Uninstall the software
3.2) Reboot the PC and printer
    3.3) Disable Symantec firewall
    3.4) Disable windows firewall
3.5) Re-execute the installation of the HP software
3.6) The install completes with no errors
    4) When I attempt to print to the printer using any form of the following:
    4.1) Windows test print page
    4.2) HP test print page
    4.3) MS word document
    This occurs:
4A) The printer initalises and tranistions to a state of printing
    4B) The PC hangs
4C) The printer does not print anything
4D) The pc requires a hard reset to recover from this
    5) I have tried using both wireless and the ethernet port from the PC and each time the above in point 4 happens
    6) To test I have a dual core Intel laptop running the exact operating system as the desktop with identical Symantec firewall and Antivirus software that I have installed the printer software onto that works fine with no issues whatsoever.
    Any ideas please?

    Hi,
Did you try the HP priner diagnostic tool?
If your are running XP 64 bit then your printer is not supported.
Be sure to apply all of the updates that are listed.
The other thing to try is to completely remove all of the HP printer software. Now reinstall the software but instead configure and connect the PC using USB.  Does that work?
Please elaborate more on the ethernet connectivity.  I am a bit puzzled since none of the B110 printer have ethernet ports.

  • X-Fi I/O Drive Upgrade Kit and the Headphone Out j

I would?need an extra analog audio out for my new HDTV since I don't have an HDMI-out on my PC and the audio out's on my soundcard are reserved for 7. speakers. I thought the X-Fi I/O Dri've Upgrade Kit might be my solutions since it has an extra headphone out. I have an X-Fi XtremeMusic card and my new telly has L/R-RCA audio ins.
My question is does connectin headphone jack to the X-Fi I/O Dri've mute all other sounds? I would like to be able to use both my S750 speakers connected to the PC and the HDTV speakers connected to the X-Fi I/O Dri've's Headphone?Out?at the same time.
And one extra?question:?Do the headphone out on the I/O dri've introduce dedicated left/rigt channels including all the sound information from the source file being played, or just the left/right channel information as in 7. mode when the soundspectrum is divided between all the eight speakers and when the front left/right channels do not contain all the information? It's a bit tricky to try put into words what I mean, but I hope you can understand.
Thanks for any and all replies!

You can enable/disable the muting on jack input detection.
As for the output, I think it outputs the front left and right, so you would need to switch to headphone mode in order for it to be stereo only. However, the dri've also has digital out and from what I understand, that only outputs in stereo unless it's using a surround sound source such as a DVD, but I could be wrong.

  • Directv Wireless Cinema Connection Kit and Time Capsule

    Hi Everyone,
I just received my Directv wireless Cinema Connection kit today.  I recently purchased a 3rd generation 1TB Time Capsule as well.  Everything has been working fine with the TC...no issues whatsoever.  Until I tried connecting the DTV CCK.
Here's the story.  I first tried setting up the DTV kit to my TC and my time capsule was set up with WPA.  The password had 3 lowercase letters and 6 numbers.  I accessed the menu on my DTV to set up the wireless connection.  DTV recognized my network and my guest network.  I went to put in my password so that the DTV kit could access my network but it didn't work.
    I tried again and again...
I tried my password with all lowercase as said before, with all uppercase, with uppercase first letter and lowercase 2nd and 3rd letters, but no luck
Now I have my TC set up with WPA/WPA2 personal with the same password.  I tried again with this configuration and still no luck.
I can move my cable modem and TC so that I can connect it via ethernet, however I want my cable modem and TC to stay in the office.  The wireless connection kit was $30 something dollars (Not much I know) so I want to use it.
    Does anyone have any advice?
    What am I doing wrong?

Hi.  It is working now!  ChristyinTN is absolutely right--the fact that our wireless network password consists of more than one word does not matter.  It only matters that the wireless network password does not have an apostrophe.  The reason why I could not get the DirecTV HD DVR receiver connected to the internet immediately after I removed the apostrophe from our wireless network password is because I had not properly reset everything before I tried to connect again.  So, I reset everything pursuant to this DirecTV forum: http://forums.directv.com/pe/elementDisplayRedirect.jsp?elementID=10986630.  After I reset everything, the connection worked.  Hallelujah.  It's amazing that the DirecTV people (with whom I had been on the phone for hours) neither inquired about whether my wireless network password had a character other than letters and numbers, nor knew how to completely reset everything--both of these ideas have been posted on the DirecTV forum I cited above for one month.  I guess DirecTV doesn't learn from their own posts ...  I want to identify my setup, in hopes that it may help someone else out there.  My DSL is piped into the house through a 2Wire modem provided by AT&T.  The 2Wire modem is bridged to my Apple Time Capsule, so that my Time Capsule serves as the wireless router throughout my entire house (http://thecentershot.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/how-to-configure-set-up-an-apple-t ime-capsule-to-a-att-2wire-2701hg-b-modemrouter/).  I also have an AirPort Express set to my wireless network, simply plugged into a wall outlet, to provide for better reception on the other side of the house.  Because I have DirecTV Whole-Home DVR Service, I set up the DirecTV Cinema Connection Kit pursuant to pages 15-17 in the DCCK's User's Manual.  In particular, I disconnected the coaxial cable from the "SAT IN 1" port on my HD DVR receiver, connected the coaxial cable to the "Towards LNB" port on the DCCK device, connected the enclosed coaxial cable to the "SAT Rcvr" port on the DCCK device and, on the other end, to the "SAT IN 1" port on my HD DVR receiver.  Per the DCCK's User's Manual, I did not use the ethernet cable at all.  The DCCK device's POWER, WLAN, Activity and Coax Network LEDs are all solid green (the Activity LED blinks every now and again).  Strangely, when I was going through the instructions on my television, after I had physically connected the cables between the DCCK device and the receiver, one of the screens after I designated wireless internet connection asked me to confirm that I had used an ethernet cable to connect the DCCK device to the receiver.  Since it provided no other options, I forged ahead (even though I had not used the ethernet cable at all).  Obviously, it was right to do that.  This epitomizes the differences between Apple and DirecTV--one of these companies knows its products; the other one hasn't a clue (or should I say "has not a clue," to remove the apostrophe).  !  Good luck everyone; again, thanks so much for these posts.

  • Using Wireless printer 4500 series and prints dark from laptop but light when sent from a phone?

I am using a wireless  f4580 printer i believe and when I print from my laptop the item print dark but when I send items from my Iphone 4 to the print they print so light you can barely see them and I just replaced the ink so I know it isn't that. What am doing wrong or what do I need to do? thanks in advance.

Do you see any advanced options for managing print quality,  like "Economode printing" or changing print speed (draft, normal, best etc.) while printing from Iphone4?  If yes,  then choose options to give best print output.
If there are no options available while printing document, then you might need to see if you have same document or same document properties & contents (font - size, color, etc.) while printing from different computers.

    Help!
I can print wirelessly over my AE using Rendezvous with no problem; however, I can't figure out how to adjust my system to allow a PC using Windows XP to wirelessly print over the same local network.
I did check the "Printer Sharing" in my Sharing Folder preferences... but to no avail. The PC setup wizard just does not "see" my HP Desktop 5100 during its search for printers.
