HP6830 not recognized in HP Solution Center

I have a HP6500 E709n wirelessly connected to XP/VISTS/W7 systems and it appears in the HP Solution Center. I just installed a HP6830 and it is wirelessly connected as well to the XP/VISTA/W7 systems and I am able to print to the HP6830 from those systems. However, the HP6830 does not appear in the HP Solution Center as my previous installed HP6310 did.  I would like the HP6830 to show up in the HP Solution Center (or perhaps an updated version of this product) so that I can assess the status of all of my printers from any system on the network.
I have tried restarting the systems after installing the HP6830 software from the distribution CD, but the HP Solution Center software still does not see/detect the HP6830.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi,
The HP Solution Center software is not affilated in any manner with the Officejet Pro 6830 and cannot detect the device of that model.
To access the HP Printer Assistant software which applies for your new printer, click the HP Officejet Pro 6830 icon on your desktop or within the Start Menu HP folder.
From the HP Printer Assistant software you may get any printer management taks or perform additional tasks such as scanning.
Please let me know of any issues,
Shlomi

  • Not being seen by Solution Center, but seen by Doctor?

Problem with Photosmart C6280.  After a lot of other problems, this one has stopped me in my tracks.
the Print/Scan Doctor can see my printer, but can't print test page,
Tried to install Solution Center, but don't see any of my two printers (that my Firefox broswer sees) and Windows Device & Printer sees.
My Network Configuration Page printout states that the printer status is Ready, and Active Conn Type is Wired
All my wires are firmly in router, printer, & computer.

  • All-in-One not seenby computer through Solution Center.

I previously posted this in another (incorrect) forum, so I'll try here.  I'm new here and going nuts!
I've had a C6280 for a couple of years and have been very happy with it, until now.  All of a sudden, when trying to print pictures by using the HP Solution Center I get no response from the printer.  I choose Transfer Images and choose an image, then Simple Print............but nothing further happens.  Everything freezes up and I have to use my Task Manager to X out of the program.  On the other hand, I can highlight the image from my files and r-click Print and can print the image through Microsoft's Printing Wizard...........just don't have as many options to modify the image.
I use XP Pro.  Have disconnected the printer, trying to reset it.  Have gone to HP's site and downloaded any updates or drivers available.  No change to my problem.
Can anyone help me?  HP sure won't, unless I choose to pay them $$$ for assistance.  (Total rip-off!!!!!)

I'm new to the Support Forum, so if I'm in the wrong category, would someone please let me know.  I really need some help here because I use my C6280 All-in-One to print quite frequently.

  • How do I download the solution center to my HP Touchsmart 310 pc

I have a HP Touchsmart 310 PC with the Windows 7 operating system.  Back in January I started having trouble logging in on my page.  I was the only admin on the pc, so I could not access certain information or make any changes to the computer.  I finally erased everything in the computer memory and started over from scratch.  I have an HP Photosmart printer that I use, but when I re-installed the software, it did not include the hp solution center, so I can't scan any documents or photos to my pc.  I need help!

    Hi,
Please let us know what is your printer, hope we can help.

    Hi Warren,
I assume you simply plugged the printer without preinstalling any software. Please correct me otherwise.
Please remove the existing device as following:
Unplug the USB from the back of the printer.
Enter Control Panel > Devices and printers
Right click any 1400 printer icon, then click Remove Device.
If there are several icons of your printer, repeat the same for any of them.
    Reboot your PC.
Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Left click once any presented printer (e.g. Fax), then click Print Server Properties on the Top bar.
    Click the Driver tab.
If there is any 1400 listed, select it and click Remove.
Select to remove the 2nd option. Remove printer driver and printer driver Package.
Download and install the Full Feature Software for your printer (HP PSC 1400 Series) below:
*Make sure not to connect the USB till prompted to do so during the install.

  • HP Solution Center Problem

I have an HP Pavillion a1400e desktop with an HP PSC 1410 All-In-One printer, scanner.  I've been using HP Solution Center to scan.  I now get the message "No HP devices detected" with HP Solution Center.   I can still print documents (not using the HP Solution Center)
    This question was solved.

    Hey Tom,
Thanks for the update.  It sounds like the whole software package has become problematic.  I see you are using the HP Pavillion a1400e and this would have shipped originally with Windows XP.  Is this still the OS you have on this system?
I would advise a full cleanout of the software for this printer on your PC and re-installing.  I will provide the steps below for doing this, but I understand the hesitancy as printing is at least still functioning.
    1. Run disk cleanup on your computer
    2. Download and run the software and drivers below.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=441115&tool=&
    3. Once the download is done extracting, cancel the download.
4.. Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard to bring up the run menu.
    5. Type %temp% in the run field and click OK.
    6. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
    7. Open folder Util
    8. Open folder CCC
    9.  For HP computers run the Uninstall_L3.bat
    10. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
    11. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
    12. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    13. Use this tool to clean the system and registry.  Note: This utility is not HP sponsored or approved.  HP and I are not responsible for damages or loss of data caused by the utility.  This step is optional.   You can skip it if you want.

    14. Download the full feature software and drivers
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=441115&tool=&
    15. Run the download to reinstall the printer

  • I have A PhotoSmart C 6180. I can't get the Solution Center software

Where can I find something that will download on 64bit Vista for thePhotoSmart C6180?  My harddrive was replaced and my backup did not include the printer drivers.  I have loaded everything and it prints fine, but I can not scan as the Solution Center is missing.  It says that if the printer is prior to 2011 that the center is not available and the disc won't load on 64bit.
Is there a patch or something that can make this work

    Hi,
if you use the pritner through a USB connection, open the Control Panel and select Printers, right click any instance of the printer and Delete it.
Next unplug the USB and reboot your PC prior installing the printer. (For network connection simply skip to the next step).
Next download and install the following software by following the steps on screen, that will add full functionality as the HP Solution Center software:

  • My C5280 will print through my router but solution center won't go online and work

I have just hooked up my C5280 to a dlink dir-655 router via usb cable now I can get it to print fine just when I open the solution center to scan it says the printer is offline.  any ides how to fix this? I am using windows XP.
    RWE

After you connected this product via USB to your router, technically what the router will do from that point is forward the print jobs through wireless or Ethernet from your router to the printer over the attached USB cable. But, the connection is not direct. HP Solution Center will not see the printer as being online because it is looking for a direct USB connection, which is the only connection available for this particular printer.
    Hope this helps!

  • HP Solution Center Missing

The printing from my HP Photosmart Premium series - C309 was very faint even though I recently installed new ink cartridges.  From past experience I knew I needed to clean the printheads.  However, I could not find the HP Solutions Center on my computer in order to follow the cleaning process.  It appears to have been removed.  How do I reinstall.  My computer is windows 8.1.  Thank you.

    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand you would like to install the full feature software, for your c309, onto your windows 8.1 computer.
    I would like to help.
    There are two options.
First is the HP printer install wizard.
Second is to download the drivers from HP.com

  • IPOD Not Recognized By Windows XP - The Solution!!!

    Hi folks,
I came across the solution to this problem over on the Microsoft website and it instantly cured my problems. Here are the steps:
The solution is to make sure you stop the usb device prior to unplug. not just ejecting from itunes but stopping the usb itself.
    How to fix
    - Turn off computer.
    - Plug ipod into usb
    - Then you must reset your ipod... don't worry it won't wipe anything out.To reset move the hold button ( on top of the ipod) once to hold then back to original position. Then press and hold the center button and the top menu button at the same time for 6 seconds.
    - Start computer and it should install the usb driver for the ipod automatically.
    - Your ipod will say do not unplug so don't.
    - Then open itunes and it will be there and you are good to go.
Just remeber to not only eject ipod from itunes but stop usb.
Go to the program icons near the clock and right click the usb icon and "safely remove hardware" will appear and click it. stop it and select " apple ipod"
    enjoy!!!

In case it helps point to the solution, here are the steps I am taking and what I am seeing:
    1. Disconnect iPOD, toggle the hold button on/off and manually reset the device.
    2. Delete "Unknown Device" in Device Manager.
    3. Uninstall iPOD and iTunes software.
    4. Reboot computer
    5. Install iPOD and iTUNES software
    6. Open iTUNES
    7. Run iPOD software - connect the iPOD when instructed to do so.
Windows finds unknown USB device - installs the driver and announces successful installation and hardware ready for use. :-)))
5-6 seconds later Windows announces USB device not recognized, that a device malfunction has occurred and am advised and Windows is unable to recognize it. :-(((
To Note: a. Assigning usbstore.inf as the driver for the the iPOD doesn't "take". The assignment ends without error message but going back and checking indicates no driver assigned to the device.
    b. USB mouse, keyboard and flash drive all work and are recognized by the system. I have not been using the flash drive with the ipod to avoid complications.
    c. I managed (once) to connect it with the iPOD software, have it recognized in iTunes and transferred music to the device. Unable to reconnect ever since.

  • HP Officejet 4500 driver not installing HP Solution Center fully-so can't scan

New laptop w/ Windows 8....Have installed the right driver...but the driver isn't downloading the HP Solution Center suite, so I can't instruct the HP Officejet 4500 to scan.   Printer is communicating w/ laptop.   I don't use the online fax options, but am sure they wouldn't work either.
How do I get the driver to fully install the HP solution center so I can instruct the device to scan????

CD didn't work. Download software, didn't work when it came to plugging into usb port, don't even get a BACK button, nothing. Printer not recognized by laptop. Did all the solutions/uninstall/install etc. Printer is working though, prints out the exact same thing each time I press the green button on the printer, but is not connected to laptop. So it's not the printer, it works.
    Now what?

  • "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete"

I cannot use HP Solution Center because I only get this message when I start it: "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete". I am running Windows XP with an HP PhotoSmart Premium. I can print just fine and the printer is recognized by the PC and the network. I get the same problem whether connected wirelessly or through USB. I have re-installed all software multiple times. Please advise on how to get Solution Center up and running.

I had to do a total uninstall and reinstall of the driver. However, as you will see from this and other Support Forum threads there seem to be multiple stumbling blocks to the uninstall/reinstall process. Seems very glitchy. After nearly two days of unsuccessful tries I finally got it done. I did find three different official HP scenarios for the process, including one automatically sent to my desktop by HP upon one of the earlier failures. That sequence did not work work for me, but it was close--I got a partial install. But on another HP help file titled "Product Software Installation stalls or stops in Windows 7 with a USB connected product HP..." I found a six step process (with details for each), and it worked for me on the second try. Here are the six steps, plus extra things I did or discovered that could have helped make it work. I did step 5b. first: downloading and saving  the HP driver file on my computer before starting other steps, since I elected not be be on the internet as I did the installation. 1. Uninstall the HP printer software. See my note below about four ways HP lists do to this. I used two of them.2. Turn off the 'terminate and stay resident programs (has to do with system configuration). See HP details.3. Clear temporary files and folders through Windows accessories.4. Disable firewalls (see my note below about this)5a. Disconned the cable from BOTH the printer itself and from the computer, BUT TURN ON the printer.5b. Get the lastest version driver for you printer from the HP site and save it where you can find it. (I did this first, before other steps, so I could install off-line)5c. Install the driver software that you saved. (see my note below about an optional step that helped me with this, so the install will complete, and not hang up)6. Enable the start up software that was turned off with step 2. (See HP details) Notes: there are versions of HP instructions that  skip steps 2 and 6 and or 3 and 4, but that would not work in my case. I describe the steps that finally worked in case they can help someone else--this has been so frustrating. This uninstall/install process seems to be very touchy and perhaps changes depending on your printer or other configuration of your computer: Note about step 1: I found an HP document that listed four ways to uninstall. On my final and successful attempt I actually used two of the techniques. First I used the HP uninstaller program from the start menu program list on my computer stored with other HP stuff there. When I rebooted it did not appear that any HP programs were removed, but who knows, perhaps this got rid of some hidden file somewhere that had been causing all of the problems. Then I used the regular uninstall process from the control panel, and that worked. All HP programs were gone upon reboot. Note about step 3: I counld not believe this would help, but did it, and again, who knows, perhaps this is critical. Note about step 4: I assumed that step two 'terminate and stay resident programs' turned off my McAfee firewall and antivirus, so I did not turn it off. And I elected to be off the internet during install because I am always fearful about turning off those programs. However, and this may be the source of problems for many people, the HP list was very specific to turn off the Windows 7 firewall. I checked it and it was running, even though I thought McAfee was in charge. So I did turn off the Windows 7 firewall. Subsequently I learned that many people who have upgraded from earlier Windows operating systems to Windows 7 have the Windows firewall operating along with their other firewall, without knowing it. Apparently this does not happen if you did a clean install of Windows 7 rather than an upgrade install. Note about step 5c: On many of my tries the installation program would not terminate or complete, and I would get a partial install that allow some functions of the printer to work, but not Solutions Center. The only way I found to prevent this was at the step near the end, where you hook up the printer, select the box that says it's okay to connect it later. The installer program dumps an icon on you desktop that allows you to connect the printer after the installation shows complete and terminates by itself. By clicking the icon and plugging the cable into computer and the powered-on-printer when directed, the device installs perfectly. That was the only way I could get a full install, or get the installation to terminate. During the two days of trying to make this work I also reinstalled the latest version of Flash player since I read that HP Solutions Center needs it to show screens on your computer about printer functions. Of course downloading Flash onto a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is a little tricky too, but not that difficult. I do not know whether that was important, but it is one more thing to try if you can't make your Solutions Center part of the printer program work. I learned way more about the unintall/install process than I ever wanted to know. Sorry to be so wordy, but after two days of frustrating work on this I thought I should share this, in case any of these ideas could help someone else who is hung up on this. Perhaps there is an easier fix somewhere. The six-step process was on an HP help site and was not even for my specific printer, but the similar list from my model did not work. Wish I knew what the secret to success might have been.
