HR BP integration - adding identification does not work

Hello Guru's,
I am trying to add an identification number to  BP's created through trans PA30 in HR. In the function module HCM_P_BP_INTEGRATION where the BP is created i use BAPI_IDENTIFICATION_ADD to do this. The FM seems to work fine and doesn't return errors, even the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT returns no errors. But when look at the actual BP created, no identification is added. Any idea folks?

Hi Baljinder,
I think the problem has got to do with the flag iv_x_save that is passed to BAPI_IDENTIFICATION_ADD.
Please pass this flag as space while callin g the identification bapi.
Reason - the HCM module calls BUPA_CENTRAL_EXPL_SAVE_HR to save the data - this basically means that the HCM module has control of save. However, if you call BAPI_IDENTIFICATION_ADD with iv_x_save = X, it means that you have the control of save ( which needs BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT).

PS : are you making a modification in the HCM module ? Isn't it possible to make a call to the identification bapi AFTER the HCM module has finished executing ?
