  • Notional Interest Charge for Loans given -parallel to real interest

    Guys,
We have a requirement to calculate a notional interest on annuity loans given to reflect company's cost of capital. This is for internal use only and will not be passed to customers, hence should not post to customer account. The notional interest should calculated on remaing capital as real interest for the duration of the loan but post to two GL accounts- one income, and the other expense.
The Nominal interest and caital repayment should however post to customer as normal.
The problem I have is that SAP seems not to support two interest conditions running paralell, as the cash flow got distorted when Included the two interest conditions to run monthly for the duration of the loan.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
    Regards
    Fisayo.

    HI,
Please define a new set of condition type, flow type by copying existing nominal interest and term as Notional Interest and set your accounting as per requirment. You will be able to assign both Nominal Interest and Notional Interest conditions together in condition details of loan contract.

  • Process flow of loan taken with Partial Disbursement

    Hi,
Any one tell me about Business Process of Loan taken with partial disbursement
    Commitment capital: 100000
firstly partial disbursement : 25000 without incidental cost
    second disbursement: 75000
after that I manage all the disbursement in one contract (To manage interest payable, repayment)
    Thanks and best regards
    Ms.Minh

Please clarify what exactly would you like to know.
after partial/full disbursment loan is being serviced through it's ordinary life cycle.
    In general you have to:
    - post interest and charges on the monthly/quarterly basis (subject to your particular loan conditions),
    - post interest accrual/deferral (if applicable),
    - process loan repayment,
    - after loan is fully repaid - close the contract.

  • Revolving Loan function in Loan (Taken) Management

    Hi SAP Treasury experts,
I have set up the transaction for Loan Taken function. Example:
    2/1 Capital = 10 million
    3/1 Disburse = 7, Balance disburse = 7, Remain cap = 3, Total Disburse ever = 7
    4/1 Disburse = 3, Balance disburse = 10, Remain cap = 0, Total Disburse ever = 10
    5/1 Repay = 6, Balance disburse = 4, Remain cap = 6, Total Disburse ever = 10
    6/1 Disburse = 4, Balance disburse = 8, Remain cap = 2, Total Disburse ever = 14 --> This is the Revolving process
On the 4/1, Total disburse ever = 10. But actually, on 5/1 i have done the repayment transaction, so the Remain capital is added again tobe = 6 (supposed to be).
Until this step, i can not do the disbursement again. In terms of Revolving process, we should able to do the re-disburement again.
Do you have any idea or advise?
    Please kindly help
    Thank you very much
    Regards,
    Andi Hermawan

    Hi Andi,
Loans management products cannot be linked to Facility in TRM.  If you like to use Facilities in Treasury & Risk management, you are required to map your loan products in Money Market and use complete functionality of TRM only and no link to SAP Banking - Loans Management.
Coming to your scenario of Revolving loan, here you are trying to utilize the repayment amount and get additional disbursement.  In this case you need to create a flow type for repayment which will increase available capital for disbursement as and when the repayment flow is posted/paid.  Try to explore and find if there is a flow type in Loans Management itself which behaves in this way.
    thanks,

  • Loan taken from banks and Fixed deposit scenerios

    Dear experts,
Please guide me,  i have two Scenarios,
    1.  My client have fixed deposits in bank -  how to configure in sap
    2. loan taken from bank  -  when i repayment the loan amount it should deducted from my loan principle amont  in the this process what is role of my house banks.   what entries should make, how to calculate interest on loan --  how to configure this Scenario in sap
    please guide me
    Regards
    Chandu

    Hi Chandu,
A loan with a bank is no different from an Asset creation process albeit this will NOT be within the Asset A/c module of SAP.
I am assuming that you have SAP FI/CO - in that case you may look at a few options to meet this process:
    1. Post an accounting entry creating an asset (FB50) - dr loans held (asset a/c on your BL) and cr cash. (Note your customer ie your bank in the description field etc for record purposes or mention the loan #, a/c etc)
    else
    2.  Post a customer receivable via FB70 with your bank as the customer and ensure that your payment terms match the maturity of the loan. (Post a FB70 with a debit to customer, credit cash etc (you get the idea - hit an asset a/c on the credit side as well)
When its time to collect principal or interest or whatever, if you use 1) - post a journal entry again to offset this posting and post interest as income gained and in case if you use 2) post collection.
with 2) you may need to pass a journal entry for interest collected as a separate line item.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks

  • Activation of open item management for loans taken.

    Dear Experts,
How to activate opem item management for loans taken. Also how to link a vendor to business patner if both are same.

    Hello,
In your case, though balance is ZERO, they are not cleared against each other. It is the reason you are still facing the problem.
If ther is no open item management check box, then copy program RFSEPA02 to ZRFSEPA02 and append the initialization control.
If there is already open item management but you want to remove then copy RFSEPA03 to ZRFSEPA03 and append the initialization control.
    Do the following steps:
    1. Block the account for postings (all check boxes) in FS00
    2. Run the customized Z program (Give the company code and account number)
    3. Unblock the account for postings (remove all check boxes) in FS00
Take help from your ABAPer to stopping the initilization error check.
    Hope this solves your issue.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Creating General loans taken in Company Code using Loan Management

    Hello Gurus,
I have been trying to find a way to create the configuration for loans taken using the SAP Loans Management module. I still haven't managed to see any configuration guide on the topic. Can someone please help me out with insight on how to go about the configuration for loans taken. I will also need the user guide on how to create loan taken in the SAP system.
    Regards,
    Chuka

    Hello Shannon,
Good to hear that at least there is hope. Secondly, I was wondering if I could find a configuration guide to help in the configuration. This will get me a head start at least so I can be specific on the issues to resolve with the Loans Management expert. Any help or links towards this will be very much appreciated.

  • Savings Plan with Monthly contribution to be used for employees weekly paid

    Hi,
We have a Savings Plan with Monthly contribution. This plan has to be used for employees for weekly paid employees.
How to configure this for weekly paid employees and for which payroll will the contribution gets deducted.
    Please help on this issue.
    Regards,
    Ilyas

    Ilyas ,
In SPRO - Personnel management-Benefits-Plans-Savings plans- Define employee contribution rules
In the contribution limits for regular payroll - If your savings plans contribution types is by percentage then give the maximum pre-tax has 100.00 , if it is not by percentage -then give the contribution units to its maximum .
To recheck -go to Pa30 and benefits tab -saving plans and regular contribution tab and check your reference period for contributions.
Let me know if it doesn't work

  • Need to calculate interest paid/earned for the coming year ...

    All,
Working up the 2010 budget, and decided to give Numbers a whirl vs. continuing with M$ Excel for another year. One of the things I do is make some kind of educated estimate on how much my interest I will pay on each of my loans in the following year.
    Example - auto loan:
    Balance: $10,000
    Interest rate: 7%
    Payment: $200/month
You get the idea. Does Numbers have a formula that will calc the effective interest I would have paid by December 2010, recalculating the new principal and interest each month as the balance goes down, etc? I looked at IPMT, but some of the variables don't seem to make sense to me.
    Appreciate the help in advance.
    Bones

Ok, that works for some things. (Thanks again).
If you have a fixed-term loan (auto, home, etc.) then CUMIPMT seems to work great. But in the case of revolving credit lines, credit cards, where there is no fixed term the formula breaks down.
    For example:
    CreditCardX
    - APR: 10%
    - Balance: $5,000
    - Projected payment/month: $150
    CreditCardY
    - APR: 12%
    - Balance: $4,000
    - Projected payment/month: $125
In the coming 12 months, I want to play with the numbers to see how much interest I will pay on X versus Y over the coming year ... up the payment on X and see how that changes things versus upping the payment on Y ... you get the idea.
I guess I can just create a manual formula (?)
Still appreciate any help as I am figuring out Numbers.

  • Interest paid to vendor???

  • Paid School loans off but not reporting as paid off

Ok so here is the story, back in November of 2009 I received a large settlement so one of first things I did was payed my school loans off directly to Sallie Mae. I made sure that I paid them all off before hanging up with the person on the phone and she assured me that we got them all. Well now they took $2008 our of our tax refund for my school loans and I have 4 Sallie Mae student loans on my credit report that are reporting as 24 missed payments and 2 collections for student loans showing no payment. I tried to sign in to Sallie Mae to look over my account and was directed over to Navient. I looked at my statement and they are showing that just under $3000 were paid. I then requested my bank statement that showed the transaction from them taking out the payments in November of 2009. The bank statement had two charges on it one showing over $7000 and one showing nearly $3000. I disputed all my student loans on my credit report and are waiting for them to tell me what they decided. In my dispute I sent my Navient showing they got my payment and then also sent my bank statement showing the two payment for over $9000 to Sallie Mae. Has anyone had to do dispute payments on school loans and what was the out come?

What type of loans are these?  If they are now held by Navient, it's likely that they were federal, which is good because you can use the National Student Loan Data System to see a complete list of all federal loans you borrowed and who currently services them. Is it possible that only some of your loans were paid off with the payments you made in 2009? Most people graduate with many different loan accounts, sometimes spread over multiple servicers, so it can be hard to keep track of them. You need to try to sort this out on your end as well.  Get together all the documentation you have regarding how much you borrowed, how much you owed in 2009 when the payment was made, and what the payment you made should have covered.  Unfortunately, this is not something you can sort out just by disputing it on your credit report.  You want to make sure that your loans are correct with Navient and the NSLDS because federal loans will cause you trouble for the rest of your life if they aren't properly resolved.

How we can map into SAP.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
First you have to create the withholding tax type i think 194a, after that create the withholding tax key Rate, then you will link up the withholding tax type and keys.
you will goto this path Spro>Financial Accounting Global settings>Withholding tax>Withholding tax>Withholding tax.
in this path you will maintain all the properties.

  • CCP deductions for employee turning 18 during tax year

Can someone confirm how CPP should be calculated for an employee who turns 18 during a given year?  SAP appears to calculate Number of accountable months / 12, for example and employee turns 18 in June so Mamimum contribution for the year is reduced by a factor of .5 (50%).  CRA is telling our payroll department the calculation should reduce the Annual basic exemption before doing the calculation, not the Maximum contribution.

    Hello,
Even Annual Basic also it is taking only 50% if the employee is turing 18 in June. I have done simulation run for test employee
    Partial Pay Period:... 07/01/2011 - 07/31/2011
    Calculation of CPP contribution
Annual basic exemption ......................           3500.000 CAD
Number of pay periods within the year .......  /          12.000
Basic exemption for the pay period ..........            291.667 CAD
Pensionable earnings for the pay period .....           3443.180 CAD
Basic exemption for the pay period ..........  -         291.667 CAD
Base for calculation ........................           3151.513 CAD
    CPP/QPP contribution rate ...................  *           0.050
CPP/QPP contribution before limit check .....            156.000 CAD
    CPP/QPP contribution, YTD ...................  +           0.000 CAD
    ............................................            156.000 CAD
Maximum CPP/QPP contribution for the year ...           2217.600 CAD
Maximum contribution for the year ...........           2217.600 CAD
    Number of accountable months / 12 ...........  *           0.500
    Maximum contribution after pro-ratio ........           1108.800 CAD
CPP/QPP contribution for the pay period .....            156.000 CAD
Basic exemption for month is 291.667 start from July, So for remaining 6 months basic exemption employee gets is 6*291.667 = 1750 which is 50% of Annual Basic Exemption. System is calculating correctly as per CRA requirement. Kindly check in your system.

    S.Karthik
