Hr_utility.trace - standard concurrent program

Hi,
We have a standard concurrent program that we think is falling over due to data error. Looking at the code that is being run, there seems to be a lot of useful info traced out by hr_utility.trace(). How can I enable this for a concurrent program though? It seems that all the references I can find refer to enabling it when calling from sqlplus etc, rather than when the code is running as part of a concurrent program.

Hi all,
I am looking for a sql script or method to find the name of a trace file in udump for trace enabled concurrent programs. I know the trace files show 11i logon (user_name from fnd_user) in the name of the trace file but I am looking for a sql that would give the exact name of the raw trace file with request id as input.
I have 11.5.10.2.

Enable Trace in Concurrent Programs

I have enabled the trace option on an Oracle Reports concurrent program.

Sort the files by last update date, you should be able to find it then. Also, you should see the application username who submitted the request in the trace file name.

Concurrent Program ends in Error without any error message - Apps 11.0.3

Hi,
We have a concurrent program which errors out sometimes without any error message in log file or anywhere else. This happens intermittently. Is there anyway to see why this happens ( to see error message somewhere else - like FND tables ?). Any feedback is appreciated. This happens in Oracle Apps 11.0.3.

Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Was this working properly before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Did you try to relink the concurrent program executable file and see if this helps? Also, you could enable trace/debug and submit the request again and see if more details are collected in the logs -- See (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12).

Getting An Error when a Concurrent Program is run

ORA-20001: A value has been provided for a non-enabled or non-existent descriptive flexfield segment. This Error is coming out from the API call - hr_person_api.update_person. Please advise !

Please mention the OS version and the application release.
Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Has this ever worked? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Search My Oracle Support for "ORA-20001 hr_person_api.update_person", go through the documents, and see if it helps.
If none of the above helps, enable trace, submit the concurrent program and check the log file for details about the error.

PL/SQL log in java concurrent program is missing

Hi,
I'm experiencing something strange with EBS R12 concurrent program logs.
Our concurrent program is just a normal program that runs fine in most cases. It is written in java, which calls PL/SQL procedures. Usually the log is concatenation of logs from both like following
(log from mid-tier java codes ...)
Start of log messages from FND_FILE
(log from database tier PL/SQL codes ...)
End of log messages from FND_FILE
But on one customer's environment the PL/SQL log is missing. This makes us unable to see the important messages.
I tried to directly look at the files but had no luck.

Error When Submitting WIP Mass load Concurrent Program (Work in Process)

I am submitting WIP Mass Load concurrent program to get the data from WIP_JOB_SCHEDULE_INTERFACE table in to base tables.
The concurrent program is completed with Warning status.
My Package inserts the data into wip_job_schedule_interface table to create a WIP Job. After inserting the data in to wip_job_schedule_interface table, it submits a concurrent program (WIP Mass Load) (Standard concurrent program) to create a WIP job automatically from the data inserted into wip_job_schedule_interface table.
This concurrent is errored out with the following warning message:

It shoul be a conc. prog. for deleting (removing) duülicate records. Currently i am searching to find this prog.What is the point of removing this duplicate record using a concurrent program (not manually or using an API)? I believe this is no standard concurrent program to achieve this.

Will patch overwrite user specified defaults on concurrent program defn

Gurus,
I need your opinion as well as links to metalink article concerning patches. I argued with some
people here in my co regarding concurrent program definitions. I specified a print style on one
of the seeded financial report as well as the number of columns and rows. I thought that applying
oracle patches wont overwrite these info but the people in our group believes otherwise.
What is the truth regarding these? Sounds illogical to me that my setups will be wiped out by
a patch. Where can we find some documentation on this?

Further from the responses above, I think the concurrent program definition will only be overwritten by patch if loaded via FNDLOAD and the last_update_date in the ldt file is later than the last_update_date on the concurrent program definition. But of course then the changes delivered won't be applied if last_update_date is higher on database record - this may be problematic.
Best option is to copy standard concurrent programs to avoid this issue - of course with the flowon that if standard conc program parameters change then you'd need to manually change on your copied program!

Spawned Concurrent Program

Hi,
Can somebody help me on how to revise a standard concurrent program with a Spawned executable method?
I just need to add the TIN, company name, and address in the header level of the the following standard concurrent programs.
1. Program Name: Receipt Register
Short Name: ARRXRCRG
Executable Name: FARXPBSH
2. Program Name: Publish Journals - Voucher
Short Name: GLRXVCJ
Executable Name: FARXPBSH
3. Program Name: Transaction Register
Short Name: ARRXINVR
Executable Name: FARXPBSH
Although, I've read in some threads that a SPAWNED concurrent program is typically a C or ProC program and that it's usually not readable. It was also mentioned that the best way to deal with it is to just read the output from the spawned program and create a new program to be able to apply additional requirements.
The thing is I would like to avoid the idea of creating a new program since I just plan to add the company name, address, and TIN in the header level.
I hope you can help me on this.

If you modify any standard E-Business code then when you apply a patch that contains a new version of the standard code then your customisation is likely to be overwritten by code in the patch .
I can't see any easy answer to your question as Oracle don't supply the source code to spawend programs so you don't have the code to modify .
One convoluted possibility is to write a host prorgam (shellscript) to which you pass the parameters you want and then call the standard program via the shellscript to create the output as normal then use the shellscript to add the extra information you want to the output file.

Error While submitting Import Standard Purchase Order Concurrent Program

When I am trying to submit Import Standard Purchase Order Concurrent Program from front end, it gets submitted properly.
and from backend,I am getting Following error.

When I looked in Parameters in both program(manually submitted and called from backend) I found a difference.
difference is Parameter Operating Unit. It not get submitted while program calling from backend.
Please anybody tell me solution for this. for setting this parameter.
(Also I have applied for patch 13001705 as per Metalink suggested).

Possible to extend java Concurrent Program and replace standard??

i have following developing need. There is a java concurrent program POXPOPDF (PO Output for Communication). The customer needs this program to do actually something complete different than printing the PO in PDF. The executable for this CP is java class PoGenerateDocumentCP in oracle.apps.po.communicate package.
We thought that we may be able to extend that class and then in some way made OA to use the extended java class instead of the standard. This is possbile and simple for OA Framework pages unsing classes as controllers, but I don't know how it could be done for CP (if there's a way to do it without violent intervention in standard system).. Is it possbile, can anyone help me with this.
The thing is that instead of reformatting the XML returned from PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN (function POXMLGEN in database package PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT) into PDF we want to reformat into another XML and then send it in other way to a webservice. Once I have the XML from POXMLGEN I have no problem to reformat it into another XML (I think, I have done it iwith other issues/processes). The webservice and the call to it is no problem and is already use with other purposes in other processes, but here (replaceing this stadard java class for an extension/new one) I am a little lost.

Never mind, I see now that FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST() really does work, I tried with a different standard java concurrent program and it worked fine, and then I figured out that my parameters into fnd_request.submit_request for concurrent program APXVVCF4 were not correct (application short name was invalid for concurrent program).

Error while runing standard SRS concurrent program

Hi all,
I had written the interface for po_vendor_sites_all.The data is loaded perfectly into interface table AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT.
Now while running standard interface program on SRS(Supplier Sites Open Interface Import) .it is giving following error .
Spawned Process 24209
REP-1419: 'beforereport': PL/SQL program aborted.
And it is not showing any reject code or status on back end on table AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT. And it is printing IMPORT_REQUEST_ID as request code in the table.now how many times i will run the SRS it is showing in the table AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT the MPORT_REQUEST_ID is not changing .
And Can any body suggest good document for writing interface program
