HRMS Basic Setups

Hi,
I am a HRMS Tech person and has a very good experience in HRMS technology but am very weak in Functional. In my new role, I am given some functional responsibilities too. Appreciate if someone can tell me what are the basic HRMS setup when we start the implementation.
Thanks,
CAH

For R12, HRMS setups can be found in the Implementation Guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B40089_10/current/html/docset.html
For 11i see http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/html/docset.html

  • Basic setup for Cisco RV325 router

I am having problem with the basic setup of RV325 router.
    Example:
STEP 1 Connect a PC to a numbered LAN port on the device. If the PC is configured to
become a DHCP client, an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range is assigned to the
    PC.
Which LAN port does it meant?
I tried the router connection on different LAN ports to a PC but the browser would not launch anything at  192.168.1.1.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
It sounds like you are trying to access the web interface of your router so you can configure it.  First of all, I'll go over the ports of the router with you.
The last port of each row (on the right side) of the device is for the WAN (Wide Area Network) that's designated for where you connect to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).  Most likely, you will connect your modem to one of those ports.  Any ports to the left of those are your LAN ports (Local) where you can connect your PC.
Once you connect to one of those ports, your PC should get an IP address.  If you are unable to get to the web interface of the router, you will want to confirm your IP address and default gateway (which is the IP address of the router).
This can be done in Windows by:
Select Start > Run. Type command or CMD into the dialog box, then click OK.
In the resulting command line window, type ipconfig.
    C:\>ipconfig
You will see something similar to this resulting output:
    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    Description . . . . . . . . . . . : 3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI For Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX)
    Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-01-03-AB-0E-6P
    DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
    Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.10
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
This will give you 3 key pieces of information you will want to verify.  First, you want to see that your network adapter is set to DHCP.  It should say yes next to it.  Second, your IP address needs start with 192.168.1.x
In this example, it is 192.168.1.10, which is fine.
Lastly, your default gateway should be preset to 192.168.1.1.  If it is not, write that number down and try to access that IP address in your browser.
Note: If your browser is just coming up blank, you may want to try a different browser.
Hopefully you'll be able to get into your router at this point.  If not, please provide the output of your IP config statement so we can further troubleshoot your issue.

  • Problems with basic setup

hello, yesterday I have bought a wireless-G Broadband Router (WRT54G).
I think I have connect everything fine. But when I open the basic setup (http://192.168.1.1/) and I give my password I get this: http://users.skynet.be/fa853774/test/netwerk.JPG .
I don't see everything ( the buttons at the top and on the left side,... ).
Can somebody tell me what's going on and what I can do?

    hi !
U will need to reset the router for 3 min while the router is powered on ...if possible u can also upgrade the firmware for the router .. U can upgarde the firmware through tftp.exe while u can find the TFTP.exe on the following link

  • Basic Setup Web Page Error

When I type in the IP address of the router in the address bar, the page comes up with errors and none of the tabs at the top of the page are showing, meaning I can't click on "Wireless". My router and adapter are showing a connection, but it tells me there is no internet connection found. Which is why I need to access the Basic Setup page. I've tried turning off my pop-up blocker, but no use. If someone could help me I would be grateful!

    >reset
    >reconfigure
    >what happened?
    >same thing?
    >upgrade firmware using TFTP file (download this one from FTP website)
    >reset
    >reconfigure
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

  • Linksys WRT54G V8 Basic Setup page problems

I have been trying to change my password and all the settings on my WRT54G V8 router today because I forgot the password, and I can't seem to navigate the Basic Setup page. I can log in (most of the time) after resetting the router, but whenever I try to click on a different tab (like "Wireless", or "Security") it comes up with the page saying "This Page Cannot Be Displayed."  I'd like to be able to put a password on it (which I have successfully done before on this router) because I live in a college dorm and would like to keep my internet from being bogged down by other people using it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tatonka,
I assume you downloaded the WRT54G setup software disk into your PC initially. Reset the router (hold in the reset button for 30 seconds), hard wire your PC to the router, and access the Linksys icon on your desktop. Just follow the prompts after that. I had to do exactly this at my daughter's home last evening. Bob

  • WRT54G: Options missing from Basic Setup

Using a WRT54G (1.0.2). Recently lost Options from Basic Setup screen. The only option that appears is a "?" Can send screen capture but no option here. How can I fix this problem? Thanks, Michael

If the computer has any firewalls on it , disable it and check whether you can access the setup page.
If not , reset the router to factory defaults and try accessing the router.

I agree ANOKNUSA that it's a bit excessive, and I'm not sure if we should encourage people who can't even get through the beginner's guide to rely on automation. That said there's a few things that if you'll be using this, I can see causing issues.

What if we don't need a printer on that computer?
    Steps for non-netinstall users
It doesn't look like it actually checks if anything needs updating before doing any of these steps. I think it will just end up reinstalling things anyway, except the removal of locale.sh that would be needed for an update would break things if you don't actually install initscripts afterwards.
    Keyring in Pacman
Looks like you set this up at the end, after an update to pacman earlier. I suspect that could lead to problems, and even if that works, would probably be best to configure right away. Similarly you also have it run rankmirrors after updating, when it probably makes more sense to run it before.
    GNOME/KDE/XFCE/LXDE
I'd suggest at least giving an option for none/other to let people who may not want one of the 4 DE.
    Multilib (x86)
    Audio and various codecs
    Xorg
    Graphics (ATI/NVIDIA)
    Networkmanager (Wireless)
    NTFS r/w support
All seem like could be optional as well
Re: Making Archlinuxfr optional - as written now you force installation of yaourt, and use it for later parts, which won't work without archlinuxfr enabled.
I think some of these things could also need additional configuration by hand, which may not be clear to people running the script. This is probably good, as it forces people to do some things themselves. But I'd suggest putting some warnings to that effect, and also hold off rebooting automatically at the end so people can look things over beforehand.

  • Only Basic Setup Tab

My linksys router WRT54GS has defaulted its router name to a generic name. As i follow the instructions to access the set up screen (through 192.168.1.1), I only have a limited number of tabs on the SETUP screen (Basic Setup, MAC Address and Advanced Routing) - none of which provides access to the router name or SSID. What am I missing? Thanks!

Reset and power cycle the router. Usually that problem occurs if there’s a problem with the router’s current firmware or with the browser that you are using. As such, upgrade the router’s firmware if there is a newer firmware available then try to use another browsers or better yet try to use another computer.

  • WRT160Nv2 - Basic setup page not usable

    Hello,
I've been using a WRT160Nv2 for almost 1 year now and it works fine.
Since today, I can't access to the configuration page under (192.168.1.1). Actually the page is displayed, but the menu and all the labels are missing. So I can't do any configuration. Firmware version seems to be v2.0.02 (appears on the top-right of the basic setup page).
I already reconfigured the router with the installation setup. Didn't help.
I tried to updated the firmware with tftp.exe but get an error 'Server could not be accessed' and the i have to restart the computer to see the router again.
    Can anyone help ?
    Regards,
    CHReg

Hard reset the router by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds and release.  Wait 30 seconds and power cycle the router.  Now connect via wired computer to 198.162.1.1 username blank password admin and reconfigure the router from scratch.

  • Cannot store basic setups on Camileo S10 and P30

Hello, first post for me. I had a Camileo S10 and changed it with a Camileo P30, and on both camera I cannot save some basic setups. I have to set them every time a use the camera. For example,if I activate the stabiliser in 720P, than a shoot a video, than a close the camera, than 5 min later I have to ashoot another video, I always have to go to settings and re-setup stabiliser on, as this setting do not remain stored while the 720p setup stay stored. Same for photo shooting, where light conditions and so on have to be setup every time. This is very annoying, and I cannot ask my son to do not move for a picture, if every time I open the camera I have to redo the setups... Do I do something wrong here? Is there a way to save the setups, like in most of the normal camera and camcorder?
    Many thanks,
    lillo

    Hello Mores,
batteries and full load done and ok...
Yes, I know the stabiliser can be set only with 720p, but here I refer also to normal basic camera settings, like light, expositions and so on. They have to be set every time you open the camera. Imagine you are in a party one evening and every picture you take, youhave to reset the camera from scratch, exposure, night setup, tungsten filament light... these settings are not "remembered" by the camera... On the contrary date and time are properly stored. I really hope this will be solved in a firmware updates...
    Thanks,
    Lillo

  • 1041N-A-K9 help in doing some basic setup

    Hi,
I'm new with setting up CISCO AP, I'm used to GUI and that's what I'm using to set this AP. How my network set is :
ISP Modem/Router (disable radio and set it where DHCP start at 192.168.15) ----> CISCO SG300-28P (Set static IP, upgrade fimware) ----> CISCO 1041N AP (Set static IP, 12.4 firmware).
I have 50mbps down and 25mbps upload speed from ISP, when using their router radio...speedtest.net showed just exactly that...but when using the 1041, I get half of it. It also seems that the GUI is rather slow and stubborn, often it doesnt save settings I selected and rather confusing to use, as the express setup is nothing like "express", you need to go to many different setting to get the radio up. Like it wont allow me to use WPA encryption without RADIUS...I dont have any RADIUS server (I can set up RADIUS with my Synology NAS...but is it really neccesary?)
...also the DNS....DHCP is controlled by the ISP router.
    Anyway my question :
    1) I've been looking for tutorial to set this AP through GUI and mostly is in CLI...how do you enable WMM for one?
    2) This AP doesnt seems to perform as well as the integrated radio, what is so special about this AP beside the CLI for advanced config?
    3) I'm planning to use another bran AP in conjuction with this AP, planning to use the same SSID and password...do I need to set them using different channels? I have 2.4ghz phone also, which channels should I choose?
    4) I set the AP with static IP, the router provide DHCP service....is there any setting where I should be disable the DHCP service on the AP?
My plan is to get a secure, fast and stable service...that is why I choose this setup...but it's been a time consuming just to set this AP to do basic stuff. The Ubiquiti AP I've set before, just took me 15-30 min to set....this?It's been 6-12 hours with medicore performance...

    Hi Scott,
I'm still no where with the CLI atm, tried to upgrade the firmware through HTTP and the pop up just saying :
This window is polling the system for upgrade status
    Current status is:
    IDLE: Restart completed.
Copyright (c) 1992-2009 by Cisco Systems, Inc.
    3
    Please wait...
The system is upgrading the software and restarting. This should take between 5 and 15 minutes depending on your network speed. Do not interrupt the upgrade or attempt to access other web pages on the AP during this process.
time elapsed been leaving it all night....the firmware is not updated yet....am I doing something wrong? (disable radio, access the AP with IE and system software, upgrade...find the new firmware and hit install)

  • Cannot send internal mail after basic setup

I have setup Exchange 2013 SP1 on Server 2012R2 from scratch. I have added AD users and setup all the mailboxes for them.
However, when I try to send email from OWA to internal mail accounts, other users cannot receive and mail at all.
I have tried to send a email to my own account and I still cannot receive anything.
There is no other setting I have done at all.
Please let me know what information I need to provide to solve the issue.

    Hi,
From your description, I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
    1. Enable "Basic Authentication" on the properties of Receive Connector.
    2. Use the Test-ServiceHealth cmdlet to check if all the Windows services that Exchange server requires are running. Especially the Exchange Transport service and Mailbox transport service.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • 100% Noob - Need Help for basic setup of Cisco 2504 and 1600 AP

    Hello,
I am completely noob in (cisco) networking.
I have to setup a basic but secure wireless network.
    I have a cisco 2504 and 2 APs 1600 + a random switch
I have 4 ports on the controller.
I want to keep the 1st port on the network for the controller management, plug my internet box on the 3rd port, and my switch on the 4th port. Then the AP will be on the switch.
I am able to make something working when everythings are plugged on the switch, plugged in the first port (default management port). But this is not what I want.
First thing, Is that possible ?
    1st port : office network
    2nd port : empty
    3rd port : Internet Box
    4th port : Switch + all APs
Then, if that is possible, how should i configure the controller to make that work ? I am completely lost in the menus.
I dont need a perfect configuration, just something simple and working.
1 SSID, 10 DHCP addresses, block wireless users trying  to go on the office network.
If anyone could help my doing that, It would be very nice.
    Thank you.

You basically need two SSIDs one for corporate users and second for guests .check the link with  step by step config and brief details .
