HSlider doesn't show initial decimal values

I have this HSlider:
<s:HSlider minimum="0" maximum="1" value=".7" stepSize=".1"/>
When my app starts, the Slider ball is at the very far right of the component. It's reporting the value (.7) properly to an item that's bound to it, it just doesn't display it visually. I can then drag the ball around and it will behave as you'd expect.
I'm running SDK 12891.

Hi,
This looks like a bug. A workaround is to set snapInterval=.1 as well as stepSize. Could you please log a bug on https://bugs.adobe.com/flex/?
Thanks,
-Kevin

• WebDynpro iView doesn't show initial screen

Hi,
I've a strange problem in calling an process from a Web Dynpro iView. Instead the expected 1st form in Action1 I only receive the text message: "Process has been initiated".
The strange thing is, testing the processes in "Initiate" tab in Design Time allways runs fine with the first screen.
This problem occurs with sap delivered example processes too. For example I tried the SAP delivered example "Time-off process".
My steps are:
1. check for related action-role is set to "Initiator".
2. Generation URL.
3. Initiating by "Initiate" tab from DesignTime.
4. Process opens with the first step form correctly.
5. copy the init string into WebDynpro iView.
6. starting Web Dynpro for Java iView
7. Instead the expected form, I only receive the text message"Process has been initiated"
I suppose something is wrong with my WebDynpro or role settings, but I don't have any idea anymore.
My settings in Web Dynpro for Java iView are:
Application: AInstantiation
process.template.id=7CE44B...&process.autostart=t
Namespace: sap.com/cafeugpuiinst
Authentication: default
In Portal I own J2EE_admin, GP Superadmin, GP Runtime WC and GP Business Expert roles.
Thanks.

Hi Sujana,
thanks for your message again. I checked my parameters again, but couldn't find any problems there.
Requestor ID
I have been inluded all of the generated parameters from Design Time into my Web Dynpro Proberties. The first action of the process is set to Initiator. I think in this case the user assignment should be manged by the system automatically.
Namespace:
Also the namespace sap.com/cafeugpuiinst is definitly working. When I changed this to an other value, I received an application-error after starting the iView.
Layout
I'm not sure about the required layout. Which are the requirements? Is there a special layout for my page, which is including the Web Dynpro iView, necessary?
..But my Callable Object only needs one iView I think.
How I call the process
My structure in calling this process is:
User chooses entry in User-Menu -> User assigned Role -> Page (standard layout) -> Web Dynpro iView -> GP Process initiate
I posted my configuration here, maybe you can take a look at this please?
My properties for my Web Dynpro are the following:
Application Name: AInstantiation
Application Parameters:
+process.template.id=7CE44BF090BF11D99817000D60B211F1
&EndDate=&AbsenceTypeText=&BeginDate=&process.autostart=t
&SimulationCode=&CompletionCode=&ShortTermCode=
&CompletionMessage=&Comments=&SimulationMessage=&PaidFlag=&LongTermCode=+
Namespace: sap.com/cafeugpuiinst
GP Design Time
And the parameters generated from URL generation in GP Design Time (starting with button "open instantiate application" is working) are:
+../../sap.com/cafeugpuiinst/AInstantiation?process.template.id=7CE44BF090BF11D99817000D60B211F1
&EndDate=&AbsenceTypeText=&BeginDate= &process.autostart=t
&SimulationCode=&CompletionCode=&ShortTermCode=
&CompletionMessage=&Comments=&SimulationMessage=&PaidFlag=&LongTermCode=+
I pasted the parameters of this string exactly into the application parameter field of my Web Dynpro.
Thanks again.

• French characters in run time parameter values doesn't show up in emails

We have a custom workflow with configurations to send email when a request is assigned to a person and also to send email on request rejections.
We are encountering following issues with respect to French characters that are available in the message body and message subject.
Issue 1:Notifications are configured in Human Task (ApprovalTask.task) when a task is assigned. Since the message body contains French characters we have used ISO-8859-1 encodings to render the message properly to the user. The message body also has some run time content from the task payload.
For e.g. À titre de responsable fonctionnel, une demande d''approbation pour un accès informatique vous est assignée.
Accès informatique demandé : <%/task:task/task:payload/ns1:ObjectDetails/ns1:name%>
In this case all static text values are rendered properly to the end user in his email. However the French characters in run time parameter values doesn't show up properly and has some weird characters.
Issue 2: Unable to change the default subject shown in the approval task emails i.e. Notifications are configured in Human Task (ApprovalTask.task) when a task is assigned. By default it shows Action Required: Approval. How can this default value be changed?
Issue 3: We have an Email Activity in Bpel process that follows a task rejection. The emailpayload is ISO-8859-1 encoded and works for the message body. However the email subject shows up with ISO-8859-1 encodings itself and doesn't convert to proper string in the end user's email. Is there any specific setting required for french characters in subject?

Hi Kulwinder,
Thanks for your reply.
In fact I do, I've follewed the "Using SAP HANA Variables with SAP BusinessObjects BI4.0" guide.
Please note, when I use a fix value to parameter is working fine, for example:
SELECT *
FROM "_SYS_BIC"."prueba-concepto/CV_TEST_VAR_II" ('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$FECHA$$','20130530'))
But when I set prompt of the DataFoundation parameter I get and error, this is my sentence:
SELECT *
FROM "_SYS_BIC"."prueba-concepto/CV_TEST_VAR_II" ('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$FECHA$$',@Prompt(FECHA)))
To me is very curious that I can't enter a value in the DataPreview in Hana Studio, because is not requested, even when the input parameter have been set as mandatory
Have you idea of what could be happening?

Make sure that the Export flag against the Material field is selected in the custom search help that you are referring to.
Values can be returned from the hit list to the input template (screen) with an export parameter.

• Public int indexOf(int ch, int fromIdx) doesn't work for some decimal value

I have tested two strings below. These two string are identical, except the first string has a char 'ƒ, which has a decimal value of 131. And the second string has a char 'À', which has a decimal value of 192. I am expecting the same output, which is 11, but I got -1 for the test I did using the first string. In the API for public int indexOf(int ch, int fromIndex), values of ch is in the range from 0 to 0xFFFF (inclusive). It is highly appreciated if anyone could provide any insights on why -1 returned when the first string is tested. Thank you in advance.
String strHasDecimal131 = "Test value ƒ, it has a decimal value of 131";
String strHasDecimal192 = "Test value À, it has a decimal value of 192";
int badDecimal = 131;
int idxBadDecimal = strHasDecimal131.indexOf( badDecimal, 0);
System.out.println( "index of Bad Decimal: " + idxBadDecimal );
The output is: index of Bad Decimal -1
int badDecimal = 192;
int idxBadDecimal = strHasDecimal192.indexOf( badDecimal, 0);
System.out.println( "index of Bad Decimal: " + idxBadDecimal );
The output is: index of Bad Decimal: 11

Thank you everyone for your inputs. Following are the print statements and the output: for character 'ƒ' and ' À':
System.out.println((int)'\u0083' + ", " + (int)'\u00C0' + " print decimal value" );
Output: 131, 192 print decimal value
System.out.println((char)'\u0083' + ", " + (char)'\u00C0' + " print character value" );
Output: ?, À print character value
According to Latin-1 Supplement table, the first char in the output would have the appearance of ƒ, instead it has the appearance of ?
System.out.println( (int)'ƒ' + ", "+ (int)'À' + " print integer value");
Output: 402, 192 print integer value
I also have tried to print out the decimal value of following char: € ‚ ƒ „ … † ‡, according to Latin-1 Supplement table, these char has decimal value of 128 through 135 and hex value 0x0080 through 0x0087. And the output from java println is: 8364 65533 8218 8222 8230 402 8224 8225.
System.out.println((int)'€' + " " + (int)'' + " " + (int)'‚' + " " +(int)'„' + " " + (int)'…' + " " +(int)'ƒ' + " " + (int)'†' + " " + (int)'‡' );
As I did before, I print out character of decimal value of 128 through 135
System.out.println((char)128 + " " + (char)129 + " " + (char)130 + " " +(char)131 + " " + (char)132 + " " +(char)133 + " " + (char)134 + " " + (char)135 );
Output: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Not sure why java prints character for decimal value of 128 through 159 differently from what appears in the Latin-1 Supplement table. Any of your inputs are appreciately.

• BPM console doesn't shows the deployed application in BPM console

Hi Friends,
i developed a BPM process in Jdeveloper and deployed in the weblogic server. Enterprise manager shows that application but in BPM workspace doesn't shows that application to initiate the process form BPM console. any one can you please let me know why the weblogic server shows this peculiar behavior?
Thanks
Hari Mandadapu

Did you create an initiator task with corresponding Task Flow within the BPM Project?
Only when you add an initiator task it will show up in the BPM Workspace.
An initiator task differs from a regular human workflow task.
Otherwise you can only start the process from Enterprise Manager or Webservice Call. Check out if the process show up in Enterprise Manager.

• Folder of Adobe Flash CS4 under Applications doesn't show the Flash logo

I migrated to my new Mac from an old Mac in which I had previously installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium which includes Adobe Flash CS4 Professional. After I did that, all the files for the Adobe softwares were in blue and wouldn't work so I reinstalled the DVDs again. All my folders show the logos that correspond to the softwares located in each folder except for the Adobe Flash CS4 Professional which is still in blue. When I click on it to open the software, it works, but it shows this message:
Error initializing Java Runtime Environment. You may need to reinstall Flash. Click OK
It works, but it bugs me that all the other softwares show the logos except for Flash. I tried to run the DVD #1 again, but when it shows all the softwares that you can click on to install, it doesn't show Flash.
Does anyone know how to fix that problem?

• How to show the Characteristics Values of Batch appear upon Search?

Dear all
We are implementing SAP for Wood Industry.
Facts:
1. There are 3 batches created for the raw material.
2. Each batch has the characteristics of Thickness, Width, Length with characteristics value 24mm, 140mm, 1530mm
3. 1 Production Order has been create to produce raw material (RM) to semifinised goods (SM).
Quetions:
During GI to Produciton Order using MVT 261, when we try to select batches from the Item Detail level, the pop up search windows only show us the existing 3 Batch Numbers available for the RM, it does not show the characteristics value "thickness, Width, length" that describe each batch.
And this has caused serious problem to use during their selection of batch as batch number will only make more sense to them if it is shown together with the characteristics value.
Apart of opening additional screen to show the batch information of each batch, is there any config I need to do to solve this situation?
Mark will be given handsomely.
Thanks.

Hi,
it is possible to use another search help (Tab Strip: Search for batches via classes, when you press F4 in the batch field).
Here you have to enter the class number first.
Then you get a list of all characteristics in this class, and you can narrow your selection, by setting values for specific characteristics.
After that, press F8 (Find in initial class)
You will get a list of batches, assigned to the selected class, and fullfilling your selection criteria.
Now you can display either the characteristics of a single batch, or you can define a layout for the ALV-Table control, with all characteristics, which you want to see in the overview.
Another possibility is, to open up the 'batch information cockpit' (transaction BMBC) in a separate mode. Here you can see the characteristics ( if you define a selection class on tab strip 'Characteristics' ), e.g. in combination with stock information, which might be relevant as well.
Here you can download some screenshots (link wiil be valid for 80 days)
