I just got my iPod yesterday and I've tried to connect to my windows and iTunes n it says error n won't connect sync or anything please help...I've read other people's post that have the same problem.. But I need to know for myself .. It ***** get all excited about a new device and can't even connect it .. Sync it to iTunes ..

I suspect your error was 1015, not 1051. This usually involves a jailbroken iPhone, use Google to find your solution.

IPod Touch will not connect to iTunes, please help..
I purchased an iPod Touch yesterday. I synced it up to iTunes, everything fine. After disconnecting and then reconnecting later I found that the computer didn't recongize it and it did nothing but charge the iPod. I've tried many times, all to either have it do nothing, crash iTunes, or give me the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because of an unknown error (0xE8000001)". I've tried reinstalling iTunes, the whole Apple Device Service, the USB problems.. everything. I have USB 2.0, Version 1.1.2 of the iPod, and iTunes version 7.5. Please, please try and answer my problem.
I've also restored using a friends computer, it works fine the first sync after I restore on his comp, but after that it does what I described above.
Please helpI was having the same problem but what I made was:
Conect iPod Touch into a USB port but from the back of the PC
Then *shut dawn* the iPod no lock *shut dawn*
then reinstall iTunes (it has to be iTunes 7.5 o later)
open iTunes
turn on iPod Touch
and it most work
o restart your PC and try again -
So can you guys make a update for iPod touch 2g for back grounds and maybe the message app and and a diff lock pattern
Given that it's been two years since the last iOS update for that iPod touch model, it's safe to assume there won't be any more unless someone finds a glaring security hole in it, and even then it will only be to close the hole.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

First things first, You need to update your wifi security settings. If its set at WEP, then change to WAP2. If its already set that way, then you need to make sure iTunes is up to date on your computer, then update your software.

I put my ipod on voice control by accident so i typed in my password because I wanted to listern to my music it said it was wrong. So i typed it in over and over again until it said connect to itunes so I did. Then while I was at it I updated it I waited 30 mins and then I couldn't turn it on. When it finally did turn on it still said please connect to itunes. So i restored it and rebooted it everything. And it still says connect to itunes. I have the ipod 4 and i was trying to update it to ios 6.4.1 i think and it said verrifying update, turned off, then turned back on and now has the usb cable and has an arrow pointing to the itunes logo. I can't get it to turn on or off, when i plugged it into itunes it said i had to restore before i can use it but i dont want to lose any of my things. I dont know what to do! PLEASE HELP!! Thanks!
If one of these programs will not kick the iPod out of recovery mode then you will have to restore and thus erase the iPod

Okay,, soo my ipod nano 3rd gen, wont connect to my iTunes. it will only come up in a window in my computer. now, i searched help on the apple sight but when it gets the point where it asks me to start the itunes service again, a error code comes up saying it wont allow me to start it. what should i do?
Ok, so I was finally able to fix this issue with my ipod. Here's what I did.
I received the problem on my computer running vista. I decided to hook up my ipod to my friend's macbook. Lo and behold, iTunes recognized it and I received an error saying that the firmware was corrupt. I was able to restore the firmware on my ipod and it worked fine after that. I took it back to my vista computer and it said that my ipod was using mac firmware and if I wanted to delete everything and change to windows firmware and it worked (even though my computer was running 8.1).
Now, I'm not sure if it was osx or maybe the older version of itunes that fixed my issue (my friend was running itunes 8.02 or something), but I suggest if you're having this problem, take it to the apple store and connect with one of their macs and see if you can update the corrupt firmware.
I hope this helps. This issue was really frustrating for me and I hope apple fixes this quickly because I see many people with this problem here. -
Just got my iPod touch last night & now it won't register anything
I got my iPod touch as an early christmas gift & started checking it out last night. I tried to sync my music to it last night & it said I had to update all of my iTunes software & my MobileSupport software, so I did. I got the bonjor.msi not found error while trying to update, but then everything worked. This morning, I got a message to update to iOS5, so I did. After the update, it extracted old versions from my iPod touch & now it's not being found in iTunes & it won't show me anything on the touch screen other than sync to iTunes (the iTunes logo & the cord w/the arrow in between). How can I fix this & actually use my iPod touch?
Thanks!Can you get the slide to power off screen? Does the iPod Touch Work otherwise? Try letting the battery drain and make sure it is dry or else the water could be damaging the components as long as it's on.

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.
