HT1695 i've recently got an iphone, and i did the starting questions i've connected to the wifi, but i won't activate. it also won't connect to itunes, please help

i got an iphone the other day and when i started it up i answered the language questions and i've connected it to the wifi. just when i click next it wont activate, it's unable to connect to itunes as well, please help me

First things first, You need to update your wifi security settings.  If its set at WEP, then change to WAP2.  If its already set that way, then you need to make sure iTunes is up to date on your computer, then update your software.
