HT1277 Issues with 10.7.5 - Gmail unable to send

I just upgraded my MacPro OSX to 10.7.5, and now unable to send via gmail in the Mail application. I am able to receive emails as normal. Outgoing email activity simply displays 0 KB/s. This was working fine earlier today!

  • Possible 10.5.2 issue with ARD logout / System Monitor -unable to reconnect

    Hi. Has anyone else seen this 10.5.2 problem with Apple Remote Desktop (ARD)/Server Monitor...
    I have a Xserve G5 without a screen/keyboard and use ARD to connect to do any terminal administration.
    I’ve been running Leopard since mid-January and on Sunday (17th February) I installed 10.5.2.
    All appears to be fine, except…. I can use ARD to connect and do stuff on the server, HOWEVER when I logout I don’t get the login screen and can’t reconnect to the server using ARD (I get "Connection failed" error message). Plus, it also impacts Server Monitor as, after this, I can no longer re-connect to the server.
    This is a real problem for me as the only way I can get ARD/login to re-connect is to re-boot the server by turning it off using the on-off button (which I don’t like doing as it could lead to disc corruption etc) and it’s a production server.

    I've been having just the same problem. I can connect via ARD and log in but if I log out I'm stuck. Disconnecting without a log out works fine but if I log out remotely and watch the screen on the server itself then there is a spinner on a light blue screen indefinitely, suggesting that I never fully log out, and hence can never log back in.
    With regard to forcing a reboot, I can still get in with ssh and issue a "sudo reboot" command (which will save your disc drives), but I'd rather not have to reboot every time I do any admin at all, and I'd rather not have to leave the console logged in.
    Any suggestions or work-arounds gratefully received.

  • Mail issue with .Mac account and Gmail

    Hi everyone,
    On Friday my email account began to exhibit some weird behavior. Suddenly, out of nowhere and for both accounts (.mac and Gmail), my iPhone stopped getting new email messages from the servers; it said that there are no passwords stored on the server and I should go into Mail settings and put passwords in. This was never an issue before; I checked on things and both passwords are still present. I've done all of the resets and re-synced my iPhone to iTunes but nothing's changed. I can still send messages from both accounts. Can anyone help?

    Christoph's instructions translated for the iPhone:
    Go into the Settings app.
    Select (tap) "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
    Select (tap) your Google account.
    Select (tap) "Account".
    Verify that the Name field is your full name, or change it to be your full name.
    While there, you might make sure the Description field says something like "Google" or "my Gmail" so it's easy to spot.

  • Having Issues with More than 1 Gmail account in Mail

    I successfully added my 2 Gmail accounts to Mail in OS X and only one account required an "application-specific password", which was actually extremely easy to figure out. The other Gmail account that I added, it accepted the regular password I would use if accessing this Gmail account from any web browser. The problem lies in the fact that for the account that required the "application-specific password" allows me to select all options to Sync (ie. Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Messages, and Notes). However, the account that only required my regular password will only allow me to select "Calendars" and " Messages". If I click "Mail" or any of the other unchecked options, they immediately uncheck themselves. Any I totally overlooking something or can anyone possibly help me out?

  • Issues with Forwarding a picture via text or sending from My Gallery.

    I have had my Droid Razzr Maxx for a couple of weeks.  It has never let me forward a picture that I receive in a text message nor will it let me forward a picture from my gallery anywhere but to Facebook.  It will say it is resizing the picture but it never finishes.  I can receive any size photo just fine.  I have tried adjusting every setting I am aware of but no change, could there be a defect in my phone?  My wife has the same phone and does not have any problems like this.

    Picture messaging is a great way to share memories with others! After all, it’s affordable compared to having pictures developed and it’s interactive! Now that I think of it, I LOVE picture messaging! May I ask do you know the original file size of the message that you are trying to forward? Also, what software and build version do you have on your Droid Razr? If you have any 3rd party messaging apps then I would recommend removing the app(s) and retest the forwarding feature. If this has never worked for you then I would suggest performing a hard reset on the device. Below is a link to the steps on how to do so.

    Once you have completed the reset then there is tutorial on how to re-setup and reactivate your phone. Once you have completed the tutorial then please retest the forwarding feature with a new incoming picture message. Please post your findings as they may come in handy in the future.

    I am sending mail using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. I am facing problem with display of chinese and japanese character in mail attachment.
    For example , Data in ABAP table 延平路123弄1号10A is converted to ösï721_ 3S÷83L in excel sent via mail through abap.
    I am using ASCII conversion while filling internal table for attachment.  Since these are not ASCII character conversion is not helpful.
    Please help me for solving above problem.

  • Help! Gmail unable to send email

    Need some help here. My gmail has not been able to send emails although still able to receive. Sometimes a message saying something regarding smtp.gmail appears. It sounds like i have to go to the setting but i have no clue what i am supposed to do.
    I am not using a gmail app. Just the envelope symbol on the bottom of the Ipad 3 main screen.

    Try this. You may have to enter your username and password in the outgoing mail server setting. Enter the information even if it says that it is optional.
    Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , tap on the account on the right-hand side, go into Account, then SMTP (under Outgoing Mail Server) and try filling in your email account name and password.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro issues with printing and now updating  !!! :(

    I had an issues with printing from my gmail account or from windows live mail
    so I made a complete re-installation
    now I am stuck with version 9.3.0 and when I check for updates I get a message
    UPDATER IS ALREADY RUNNING
    only... it's not running and nothing is updating !
    I made a restart... just in case... it did not change anything
    as to the printing issue, in case some of you have met it and cleared it...(hope)
    this was with version 9.5.0
    I get no error message but no pdf is created, only a text document with this :

    the font association problem is something recent though, since I used acrobat to print mails directly from my gmail account previously...
    it's galling but I installed a free pdf printer which does the job, I needed copies of these mails urgently !
    as to the update issue, I see no aum.exe, msiexec.exe or setup.exe running... but that's quite above my head... do I look for those exact processes or are they generic names for processes ?
    does my question make sense ????

  • 3 Specific Issues With 10.7 Lion (Safari, iCal, Mail)

    I have 3 specific issues with Lion that I seem unable to fix. Note that these issues did not exist before my upgrade to Lion.
    1. Safari 5.1.5 & "White Screen":
    If I open more than 3 or 4 Safari windows at a time, suddenly the winsows switch to "white screen", and try and reload (even windows that are sitting on the dock). About 50% of the time, they don't reload and I am stuck with white screens. So I have to quit Safari and then re-open.
    Safari then tries to reload the pages all at once (which slows down my MacBook). I have de-slected "Restore Windows" in System Prefs/General, but Safari tries to do so anyway.
    2. Mail 5.2 & having to delete e-mails twice:
    When I delete an e-mail sent to my .Me address, it deletes and then comes back again (when I switch to a different mail box). Then I have to delete it a second time. This onl;y happens with the .Me e-mails. I have tried deleteing that account and then setting it up again, but the same thing happends evey time.
    3. iCal 5.0.2:
    When I launch iCal either manually or automatically (on start-up), it takes a good 60 seconds to actually open (lots of bouncing around on the dock & that's about it), even though I have "Restore Windows" de-selected in System Prefs/General.
    Any help in solving these issues would be greatly appreciated, especially as they effecty the 3 applications I use the most and therefore effect my MacBook's performance greatly.

    A Workaround:
    Get the Webkit Nightly Build , download and add to your App Folder, make it the Default browser, follow the instructions to show your homepage, after this you almost done, than download
    RCDefaultApp, open System Preferences launch RCDefaultApp, go under Apps, search for Webkit and mark all all associations, Safari is no more dfeault for something, after this, go to Extensions Pane and search for the safariextz Extension, now set it to Webkit as well, now you are most up to date and Webkit updates more often than Safari ever did ^^

  • Captivate 7 - Bookmarking issues with Cornerstone LMS on IPAD

    I am looking for some assistance with Captivate 7 (currently using version 7.0.0.118) with the Cornerstone LMS and bookmarking when using an IPAD.  We have no issues with content launching, bookmarking, and sending completions on Windows based opeating systems, but on IPAD's, with the latest version of the IPAD OS and Safari, we have no issues with launching the content and it will send back a completion, but the content will not bookmark.
    Cornerstone is stating that the Safari browser on the iPad is not properly implementing the onbeforeunload trigger, which is primarily used in courses to force a save of the course data. This event is not triggered within the iPad version of Safari, preventing courses from saving themselves when the course is closed.  We currently have our customers closing the web browser in order to exit the course on the IPAD.  We are not experiencing this issue with the HTML5 courses that were exported with Captivate 6.

    If you want a continuous movie (since it is simply a demo) you can use the HD Video Demo. But editing and synchronizing will be much more a pain.
    Captivate's power is just in the creation of those static slides, but I would never record narration at the same time. I create the VO after having created the simulation, that is much easier just because the slides are static. I have been choosing Captivate just for that reason, but of course it is up to you. Want to have just demo: use HD Video Demo or choose Camtasia. But you'll never have the interactivity power that has Captivate. For trainees and students, interactive simulations are much more engaging, but that is your choice. And even a 200 slides movie has only 6000 frames, and will have a much smaller filesize than a video that explains the same.

  • Unable to Send or Burst a Report

    Thanks to the help I recieved back in thread another thread (Master Detail Arangement Question I was able to get my data to output right but now I have a issue with it. I am unable to do anything but render and view it once the conditional is added to the inner loops for getting purchase items. The report fails and generates a nasty Java Exception that is shown in the scheduler but leaves no trace in the log files. This happens to be the only report that does this on my server and removing that loop solves the issue. The sample XML is located on the previous post and I have a copy of the completed template from that post I can email if needed.

  • Macbook Air. Unable to send or receive e mails.

    We have just changed from EE broadband to BT Infinity. Coincidently, the same day I could no longer receive e mails.  EE say this is nothing to do with them, BT say it is nothing to do with them. I am a complete techno phobe and have now played around with so many settings that not only can I not receive emails. I can no longer send e mails. I wish to keep the email address I had when I set up the EE account as this is the address I have used for years.

    Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
    the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
    deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
    To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
    1.  Navigate to
     “X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
    You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
    2. Delete all the files in this folder.
    3. On test PC, delete local cache files.

    4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
    5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.
