We are trying to update an older iMac from OS X 10.5.8 to OS X 10.6.8 so we can update to the new iTunes can anyone help?
You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, which requires an Intel Mac with at least 1GB of RAM. If you don't know if your computer meets the requirements, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu.

Did the message say what was corrupt. It is not clear from your description of "...it was corrupt" what "it" is. Sounds like the download of Lion was corrupt. Download it again. Downloaded files sometimes get corrupted due to network connection glitches or interruptions.

This is a nightmare!! If I leave it on 3G it's fine and appears to be when it switches from 4 to 3G. Has anyone had this issue and if so are there any fixes?? I have tried everything, phone and account reset, network settings reset, new sim and new phone but nothing has worked. Please help. This has been going on now for months!!

I have an iPhone 4S running software 5.1 (9B179) and cannot sync the photos in PhotoStream with iPhoto '11 v 9.2.1 (628). There's no option to update iPhoto and no option of PhotoStream (which is enabled on my phone). Can anyone help?

The "link related" and "text related" crashes were what I interpretted here, too, though I'm at a loss on how to proceed given that this is a fresh system and applications. This is happening with multiple InDesign projects in a design office environment where many others work on the same files and none of the other computers are having problems with these files. I've removed the same files listed (thank you for those) before and did so effectively with creating the new user account to test with, but it had no effect. I just tried again though, as these files could easily have becone corrupt again if they were being written to when InDesign crashed. Will let you know if that makes any difference. I've also gone through and completely cleaned out the fonts again and once more cleared the font caches. If need be I'll reboot this system into safe mode and try that way.

I have error code -43 when trying to upgrade iPhone 3GS running v4.3 to version 5 or above. This error occurs whilst trying to back up phone during upgrade process. 2GB of free memory on phone. Can anyone help?
Well I spoke too soon.
The update was successful, but now I cannot connect to the 3GS data network.
Cannot get email and cannot open a page in Safari.

+THe mail server is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings."+
Email and internet work fine on WiFi.........no data using 3GS network.
Looks like I will have to revert back to old OS. -
I noticed a couple of days ago that my url bar on my imac was no longer there,I am new to the apple community and I am not sure how to progress with my qustion. I have tried selecting :- view / customise toolbar but the dropdown box which has various options to drag and drop does not show the address bar I am stuck can you help

As i was installing Final Cut Studio i cancelled it while entering the details, to go to bed. I tried to reopen the installer window and it just comes up with a Terminal Text Window, can anyone help?
It may have half installed the software so dose anyone know if i can reinstall or delete what it has installed?after using FCS remover run disc repair:
shut down the Mac
Hold the Shift key on keyboard and start up the Mac
The Mac will run the repair tasks it takes 10- 30 minutes, then it will boot up normally
insert the FCS DVD in the drive and install FCS again. -
I signed up for iCloud today and tred to sync my Outlook 2011 calendar with it. At first, all the entries were completely deleted from Outlook but were still in iCal. Then I attempted to export my iCal events, turn off iCloud for calendars and import the iCal info to Outlook. But since it was only synced through iCloud nothing imported... now all my Outlook info is only on iCloud.. can anyone help me get it back on Outlook?

All sorted! dont suppose you know how to fix another problem I have??? for weeks now, since updating to ios5 I think, for some reason every time I have tried to log onto app store it says CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE. It's nothing to do with my computer, and I've been to the Geniius bar but they couldnt help and nothing I seem to do lets me update my Apps and even worse, I cant even buy any more. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to Export a 48 minute movie (stills, titles, transitions, and background music using iMovie 11 Ver 9. After a couple of hours of rendering, it stops with th efollowing error: "Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occured. Do you have an iPhoto library in yoru pictures folder? If you depress and hold the option key and launch iPhoto - what do you see in the select library window? Select each library there and see what you have

Can anyone help with my problem. I have one document that just can't seem to be exported to Word. It doesn't have any special formatting. A footer with page numbers is the only special thing. Anyone have any ideas? I've tested other docs, and they seem to export fine, just this one document. There is nothing special to this document either. i've imported the original from Word, modified it as pages, then tried to export it again. Nothing. i've also copied and pasted the whole doc into a new sheet, and tried to save it again as word, nothing again. I'm running out of things to do on this
It probably have something that is corrupt. Sometimes one has to try to export to another format (if it can be done) like .rtf and the open in Pages again. Or copy and paste to a textEdit document, save it and open it in Pages. Last resort is to recreate the document.

I just updated my phone this morning. It's the new update for the apple watch. I have a 2015 honda fit with honda link. I usually play my spotify through the ''ipod'' source because it shows all of the song information. Since the update it will not play through the i pod source even if it is plugged into the car. Can anyone tell me how to either make the song information show up when I play it through bluetooth or how to make it play through the i pod source again?
