HT1380 My universal dock quit working with ios 6.

When I put the iPhone or iPod in the dock a message pops up that it needs an app that doesn't seem to exist. ????

I had the same problem. I got the menu option back by doing the following:
Go to Settings - General - International and change the language to British English. The phone will take a moment to change the language.
Highlight a word somewhere and check to make sure define is now available.
Go back to Settings - General - International and change the language back to English.
Again, highlight a word somewhere. The define option should remain available and now use the English dictionary.

"old" Universal Dock not working with iPod Classic/iPhone

I purchased the Universal Dock back when it came out. Now I have upgraded to a new Classic & iPhone and neither seem to work to the TV through it. I took having to spend another $49 on the chin and bought the new composite AV cable, which by the way does work with YouTube after Apple told me it wouldn't, nice bonus. The new cable works great (haven't tried charging yet), however, plugged into the dock, the remote works, but I get no audio or video out to the TV. iPhone gives me the standard not compatible and wants to go into airport mode which is fine, but then the video plays on it's (iPhone) screen. The Classic pretends everything is working great. Do I have to go spend another $49 on a new "Universal" dock now?

Did you already have a look here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300233? It specifies exactly what combinations of cables, docks, and iPod models do and don't work. Looks like the old dock doesn't work with the new iPod's.

I tried putting my iPhone 3G and it said that the device wasn't compatible with the iPhone 3G and would put the phone in airplane mode to avoid audio problems... odd

I dismiss the message, but the remote no longer works with it and the music is too quite to the speakers. The remote works fine with my Macbook Pro. I tried a restore on the iPhone and started from scrach, but the same problem exists.

iPhone 4 stopped working with ios 6.1, visited apple first time, restored phone and worked, less than 24 hours later stopped working again, back to the store, I told iPhone is out of warranty and they'll replace for $150. iPhone worked fine with previous version, no problem at all. Asked to restore to the previous software version, told can't be done. Why should I pay for a damage caused by a software update. Tec claims that ios 6.1 will not work with my phone because it discovered some hardware malfunction, possible the home button. They can't repair. suggested to go to a third party. I'm a satisfied Apple product user for many years. What happened? Any welp out there?

I have done so like 10 times on my MAC and then I used my husband's PC and tried it 4 times.. No success.. That will only make it possibe to go backward.. You will end up back with the IOS 5, but at least you will have a working phone and it will bring back all your contacts and everything else that you ever had backed up on icloud and on your computer. There might be descripencies with the Applications but again this is an issue easily solved, you can always download them back.
Two more things: One, you do not have to download the old version of the itunes, the newest version worked for me without any issues
When choosing to download the older IOS 5.1.1, you will need to figure out whether your carrier is GSM or CDMA but you can easily google this info online..

Well this is upsetting. I created a PDF form with several pages of the same form (it's a travel log).
My hoping to use Adobe Reader to complete the form and save back as a week at a time won't work.
I created the form using Acrobat Pro 9 from CS5.
Does anyone know if a PDF form in a Portfolio should work with Adobe Reader on the iPad2/
Also, what can I use that works with forms as a portfolio?

Sd photo import camera kit not working with iOS 8

I bought an Apple brand sd card photo import camera kit for the iPhone 5 (lightning cable) a couple years ago. It no longer works with iOS 8.x. I now have an iPhone 6 Plus and it still does not work. I get the error "This accessory is not supported by this iPhone." Since it is Apple brand it should work.
I have googled and searched the forums and found no leads on this. I was hoping with the latest 8.3 release it would be addressed. Does anyone know how to get this to work or is it an apple bug?

It has to have a DCIM folder, but the directory after the DCIM folder, and the files themselves, have to follow DCF rules (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designrule_for_Camera_Filesystem)..if it's the structure created by the camera it should be fine but if you change the folder to something other than DSC_xxxx and you change the image filename to something other than ABCD1234.whatever then it won't show up.
You can double check if the kit is being recognized at all in Settings -> About, then scroll to the bottom, it should say like Apple Card reader or something I forget. If it isn't, I would just reboot

This week my e-mail address auto-fill quit working with AT&T Yahoo, but still works when using the Safari browser on my Mac. Actually found 22 posts dating back to a year ago for people having the same problem, so guess this is ongoing and happening randomly. In order to run OS 10.5 on your ibook G4 you will also need to increase your RAM from 256MB to the minimum required by 10.5 but it is best to take it to the maximum. Your computer will also need to have a 867MHz processor or greater (but there are ways to get around this) in order for Leopard to install..

On iTunes on your computer under purchased, select the x on the top corner. That will hide them.
