try a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

When I recently updated FireFox, the DownloadHelper add-on was lost, and will now not download, though I have tried about 5 times??

When I recently updated to the newer version of FireFox, (version 3.6.13) the DownloadHelper add-on was lost, and it will now not re-install, though I have tried about 5 times?? When I clicked the icon to download the add-on the download progress bar indicated that the download was underway however, when it had completed, the add-on appeared not to have downloaded - including no icon - not even if I search for one. When I tried to download the same add-on again, the download window indicated the download in a faded color and it seemed to be indicating that I already had the add-on. Try as I might, I can't get it to work. DownloadHelper always worked with no trouble on the previous version of FireFox. Are you able to help? Many thanks for this service!

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

Thanks for your response DJ. I have Windows Vista and I'am getting NO error messages, crazy right? I just click on the organizer and it acts like its going to do something and then you wait and wait for maybe 30 minutes and it just doesn't move forward. I have been using the PSE programs for many years and have never encountered this problem! I have thousands of pictures on this program and its starting to freak me out that I cant access any of them! If you have any additional ideas please let me know. Thanks Julie

A divert is a function that allows you to either forward calls to another phone, or directly to answer phone. I'm not 100% if those functions are available for AT&T (I'm from the UK).
Can the iPhone 3GS play music fine? Can the volume be adjusted during playback, and is it loud and clear?
It's also worth checking to see if the "ringtone" hasn't been changed.
Settings > Sounds > Ringtones
Select a different ringtone and it should give you a sample. Try that and see if the phone rings when you get a call.
Are you close to a local Apple store? It's worth getting some 1-to-1 time with one of their Geniuses.

I managed to finally fix the problem in a relatively painless way. It turned out that the problem wasn't on my phone, the problem was with iTunes. I completely uninstalled iTunes from my PC and then reinstalled it and everything was fine.
In order to completely uninstall iTunes, I did two things:
Used RevoUninstaller to uninstall iTunes. This cleans out a bunch of extra things that the normal iTunes uninstaller misses.
Searched for any iTunes folders/files on my computer (using the freeware utility called Everything) and deleted them manually.
I hope that works for you.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.

What is a hard reset? There is nothing in any of Apple's documentation that refers to a hard reset.
There's a reset, a restart, and a restore.
Please explain EXACTLY what you did.
