I no longer have access to the computer to which my iPod touch is synced. Can I de-sync it without accessing said computer and set up a sync with my new computer without losing all my purchases?
You can transfer Itunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
You can transfer other stuff with the info provided in this previous discussion:
Best iPod to PC
You can also redownload apps at no additional cost:
How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store
Once you get the stuff in the iTunes library of you new computer let iTunes erase your iPod and replace its contents with what is now in your iTunes library. -

i have downloaded my new itunes how can i get all my music back
Itunes was deleted? Or your itunes library was deleted?
If it was just itunes, then your music should still be there. Just reinstall itunes.
Otherwise just use your backup copy of your comuter to put everything back. -

I'm sure if you tell them your problem, they'll let you re-download.
You can email them here. -
lost my purchased files, my computer was reset, how can I get these back without paying again??
Outside the USA, that is the situation at present: downloads are once only and you are expected to take responsibility for backing up your purchases.
In the USA music can be downloaded again ('iTunes in the Cloud') - Apple's page on this also says 'TV shows' but doesn't mention music. Other countries as still waiting on rights negotiations for this factility.
It's possible that if you ask iTunes Support nicely they may agree to let you re-download as a one-off concession, but they are in no way obliged to do this. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column. In the third column click 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption' and proceed from there. -

After I've restored my IPhone 5, how do I get my downloaded music back onto my iTunes ?
After Ive restored my Iphone 5 from recovery mode, how can I get the Music that Ive downloaded back onto my IPhone? Is there any possibilities that I can even do so? If so, How? Thanks.
You can connect the phone to your computer and sync the tracks from your iTunes library. You can also re-download any purchases from Apple via the iTunes Store and the App Store by going to the "Purchased" tabs and downloaded your stuff.

We have multiple computers, laptops, iphones and ipad in our home. We have kept one account for iTunes in order to monitor what my family downloads for parental monitoring. How can I get approval or allow for more devices to be 'authorized' to purchase from iTunes? I don't want to have to have more than one account that I have to monitor - technology is overwhelming enough to control with all the hackers and distasteful things on the web.
Authorization applies ONLY to computers.
ipads/ipods/iphones/apple tvs are NOT authorized at all. -
Upgrading OS - How do I get all my music back into reinstalled iTunes?
Hi. We are upgrading my operating system from Windows 2000 to XP on my computer that currently runs iTunes. I have my entire iTunes folder backed up on another computer. I know I'll probably have to reinstall iTunes after the OS is upgraded. But how do I add all that music back into the new version of iTunes? We won't be replacing the hard drive, so all that music should still be on the same computer.
When I reinstall iTunes, will it automatically add the music back, or will I have to do that manually? If so, how do I do it? Just go to the "Add a folder" option in iTunes and add the entire iTunes folder? If I do that, my playlists should be restored since I have the .itl file in that folder, right?
This is so confusing.Install iTunes.
Copy the backed up iTunes folder into My Documents/My Music. -
How can I get all my music files into my itunes folder?
I have tons of music scattered all over my computer in different locations, I want to put all the music in my itunes folder- C:\Documents and Settings\David\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
The problem is, is when I move the music to my itunes folder the music I move does not play in itunes. So how can I do this
ThanksDon't move files manually! That indeed causes iTunes to lose track. Use the command Advanced > Consolidate Library. Before you begin, read up on Consoidate in the Help file so you understand what it does.
When you are done consolidating, you can delete the extras if you wish. -

TS4357 how can i get my old music back?
I had a warranty on my ipod touch and so I went to exchange it for a new one. Now on the new ipod I did a icloud restore so all the old content would be on my new ipod, but everything except my music downloaded fully. So my music is half there and I don't know how to get it to fully restore. Can you help me?
Did you create a new iTunes library on the new computer? A device can only synch with one library at a time and will delete material from syncing with another library (it warns you of this). If this is the case you need to get your old music from whatever the original source was.
