HT1420 Unable to deauthorize all my computers
I just purchased a new laptop and I need to deauthorize all my past compuetr account on the count I have given them away and I do not have access to them. I tried logging unto my account and deauthorizing all my computers but keep getting a message of "Unable to accesss your account at this time, try back in a few minutes". I have been trying for the last two days to no avail. What should I do?
Nope.
But it is Both Prudent and Recommended to Create and Maintain a Backup of iTunes... along with any other Content you would not like to lose... Photos... Documents... and so on.

If I deauthorize all 5 computers can I reuthorize the ones I want if they are not currently in my possession?
Only if you're able to log into them through Virtual Network Computing.

When I deauthorize all 5 cpu and authorize a new cpu will I be able to retrieve all my songs I purchased?
Authorization does not affect what you have purchased. It will still be there.

I tried to deauthorize all my computers but it says i can't do it.
who do i contact to deauthorize all my computers when the computer won't let me.
You've lost access to 5 computers in a year! That sounds careless. I'm not saying you are of course, just that you sound it.
Use the Contact Support form and ask if they can make an exception. I suggest you try a better tone with them if you want their help.

i want to update my phone, but i purchased many apps and music on the phone. it won't let me authorize my computer so i cannot update. i don't want to deauthorize all my computers. how can i find out which 5 computers i have authorized? also how can i update the software?
This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge! -
I had to take my hp back to factory setting and reinstall itunes, when I tried to use Itunes match it said i had to Deauthorize all my computers. I am using the same computer and desperately need access to my music.
When you reset to factory settings, the computer is de-authorised.
In iTunes menu Store > View Account > sign in > App Store > Deauthorise All.
Once done, authorise this computer iTunes.
Note: you can only do that once a year. -
How do I deauthorize all the computers I have synced to my apple Id when I don't have the computers any more all I need is to get rid of the ones synced or authorized to my account so I can authorize my new computer thank u people :)
If you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

How do I deauthorize all my computers in Itunes?
How do I deauthorize all my computers in Itunes? I have gotten a new computer every two or three years and then given them away when I got the next one. I just got a new Dell Precision Work Station and am trying to get ITunes up and going. However, I keep getting a message that I have already authorized the limit of 5 computers and that I need to deauthorize all of them and start over with my new one. I am struggling with the interface of the new ITunes and cannot figure out how to deauthorize the computers. Please help.

I need to deauthorize all 5 computers that I have authorised because I have a new mac but I can't deauthorise them because I have done so already this year. How do I authorise my new mac then?
You will have to deauthorise one of the others individually (iTunes menu Store>De-Authorise this computer).

If I deauthorize all my computers, can I reauthorize another computer for the same account without losing my music?
Yes. Back the music up anyway.

What happens when I deauthorize all 5 computers
I need to deauthorize all 5 computers because I cannot access one of my computers. What will happen when I deauthorize all 5? Will I lose anything?
The authorization count on the iTunes Store servers will be reset. This won't affect the iTunes libraries, but they should be backed up anyway.

De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization. -
Deauthorize All 5 Computers Before One Year
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to deauthorize all five computers in iTunes before the one year mark. I already used the "Deathorize All" button less than a year ago and now it says I have to wait a year to use the button again. I authorized five computers and forgot to deauthorize them before I got rid of them, now I cant go back to the authorized computers and deauthorize them because they are all in little pieces. Does anyone know if you emailed Apple with a very nice email would they deauthorize all five for you? Thanks in advanced!

Yes. For future iTunes questions it's probably best to post them in the iTunes forum.

Hello guys! Please help me to deauthorize all my computers. It is necessary because I need to authorize other computer, and four of five computers don't exist anymore. It's totally unacceptable for me to wait a year. Thanks for understanding and support!
