When you say tit only sees your music folder, are you saying it only sees your music folder or does it see other empty folders.

Eureka! I kept searching and found the solution. So, if anyone wants to know here is the solution: press fn and the up arrow on F Keys (top) row (it's the one all way to the right. The iPad keyboard will then pop up on the iPad and from there you can access the emoji keyboard.

Ipad mini remote app will connect to my itunes library and apple tv but can't play content from itunes library on the apple tv

What I am trying to do is very simple, and I am sure I have done it before.
I have an Apple TV (2nd Gen) connected to Wifi Network (Airport Extreme 802.11n) I want to stream content from the itunes library on my macbook pro over the wifi network to the Apple TV. This works no problem, home sharing is set up and I can see the itunes library under 'Computer' on the Apple TV interface. I can use the Apple Remote to scroll through and play content from my itunes. Works no problem.
Now I want to use the remote app on my ipad mini to control the apple tv. Using up to date app (Version 3.01) Again, everything looks like it should work. I have turned on Home Sharing on the remote app settings. It works fine and both my itunes library and Apple TV show up on the interface. I can touch the itunes icon and control the itunes on my computer and play music and video on my computer screen.
Now when I touch the apple tv icon I can't see my itunes library content to play on the apple tv. I see the below image. If I tap on the icon in the bottom left it takes me back to the screen in the first image. What is the strangest thing is that I can control the apple tv using the gestures interface! This isn't what I want though and I want to be able to see the itunes library on the screen of the ipad and play it on the apple tv. You can see in the video on this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvEpgcE9KCs). This is what I am trying to do and I just don't understand why I don't get the screen seen at 1:25 in the video. Instead I get the screen seen in the below image.

OK, Problem solved. Software on Apple TV was VERY outdated. It had been sitting in the box for over a year and needed an update. Problem solved!

Have my songs in my ipod, but can't play them from iTunes

recently imorted songs from CDs are in my ipod and, of course, listed in the library of iTunes, but when I try to play them usin iTunes, I am required "locate it because the original file cannot be found", although I can play those songs from my iPod without any problem. It wasn't like that before, so I guess I have changed something in iTunes setting or something like that.
Any ideas?

You may have accidentally moved your iTunes Music Folder. Do a search on your computer and when you locate it, put it back in My Documents>My Music>iTunes. If you don't keep your music in the iTunes folder but some other then you need to locate that one and put it back to it's original position.

My documents on pages have been deleted from my ipad. I have logged into icloud from a windows computer and can see all my lost documents, but cant seem to get them back on my ipad. HELP!

I opened up my pages app and the document i needed opened up automatically, i turned away from my ipad to log onto my computer only to find when i look back at my ipad that ALL my documents have been deleted!! It is very important i get these back as i have an assignment to hand in tomorrow and ALL my revision is on their for my exam in 4 days time. please please please help me get my documents back onto my ipad? I believe that l made all the right connections to my tv and shared communities onm my computer and apple tv. But l rented "Fair Game" from iTunes Store and when it is downloading it comes with "Error in downloading" do it later. It hasn't after 2 days.

I am the proud owner of an Apple TV. I made all the right connections (l believe). HDMI to my SONY high def, establishing shared communities. But when l rented a movie from the iTunes Store ("Fair Game") it began to prepare for download when suddenly on my TV screen cames "Error in downloading, try again later. I have been trying for 2 days, and it's always the same message. I'm sure there's a simple explanation, and l'm just too dense to figure it out.

yeah I have been putting in a suggestion every few months since the release of apple tv 2.
still just a sad face for us who would find that useful.
I keep hoping that the cycnical view is not correct - that they are only interested in updating the cash register part of streaming/rental/channels apple tv, not the user experience of the people who have been loyal customers for years and actually bought stuff.
so sad.
If I were not so lazy I would try and do more to push for this - there you go...we don't have it because I am too lazy.

The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.
