I bought an adapter for my itouch 5 so that i won't need a computer to charge my itouch gen5 - however, i noticed that it was acting up in such a way that i was having difficulty swiping the screen and even tapping the icons. Is the only option for charging is the USB charger/connector? Or is there a specific device that I should use?
iPhone 5 and the 5th gen iPod touches are having this problem without a charger, and will probably be fixed in the 6.1 update. See http://www.imore.com/iphone-5-touchscreen-behaving-badly-under-multiple-rapid-sw ipes

I have An iphone 5... And when I take a picture it appear on the photo app on the middle of the screen and not on the whole screen.. How can I fix it?
Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

my ipod touch 4th gen home button has stopped working i have taken of the screen and tried pushing the button underneath and still not working please help
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo. -
Every time i open Itunes it starts in a window that is too large for the screen (despite me setting "start maximised" in the launch options). Then hitting the "maximise" button expands the window slightly pushing all the buttons and edge of the frame out of the screen and behind the taskbar at the bottom. I have to move the window to a place where i can resize it smaller than the screen then and only then does maximising the window fit it properly to the screen.
Okay, I just opened up Itunes this evening and it's not working again! Sheeshy Peetz!
HOWEVER, this time I followed some different steps and got it working.
(1) Uninstall Quicktime
(2) Uninstall Itunes
(3) Re-download Both
(4) Install Quicktime First! (Read #6 below first though)
(5) Install Itunes Next! (Read #6 below first though)
(6) Here is the CAVEAT for me: I have an SSD as my C:\Drive, which is where I originally installed both of them. So this time, I installed both Quicktime and Itunes to a Non-SSD drive, which was one of my SATA Drives.
(7) Start Itunes and Test your Movies now. For me I was able to play them finally. Who knows how long this will last lol.
Maybe this work for someone. -
Is there a way to keep a reminder notification on my lock screen - and be counted on the bubble of the Reminder app - until the task is checked off in the Reminder app?
Let me clarify my question regarding the Reminder App. Lets say I set a reminder for a task for today at 2PM. At 2PM my phone sounds and I pull out my phone and on the lock screen is a notification of my reminder. However, lets say I dont complete the task that I was suppose to do at 2PM and, therefore I have NOT put a check mark in the reminder app box that the task was completed). What I want is for the notification on my lock screen to keep hounding me until I put a check mark in the reminder item. I want the bubble in the Reminder App on my home screen to contain the cound of UNCOMPLETED tasks (e.g. tasks that do not have a check mark in them).
Is there an option in the Reminder App to do this (e.g. the "dont stop hounding me" option) ? It all seems so logical. Someone must have asked how do this before but I couldnt find it. -
I
At the moment no, but when iOS 6 is released later this month there will be new 'accessibility' features - from here :
It allows a parent, teacher, or administrator to limit an iOS device to one app by disabling the Home button, as well as restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen. -
Someone please tell the solution .
Is it a hardware issue or osI have the same problem, only my lines are red. I just bought a 52 16GB to replace my iPhone 4. The old phone started having the red lines moving back and forth, and I looked on some of the forums, and was led to believe that it meant the phone was dying. Since I've had it for a long time, and it was real slow, I thought getting a new phone would be the solution. But wouldn't you know it, after a week or so, the red lines started showing up on the 5s. And now the auto-lock doesn't, and I keep running the battery down because I forget to manually lock it. The red lines make me think there's a virus, since it migrated to the new phone. As to the auto-lock, I have no idea.
Any help would be really appreciated. I had to select a reply option, so I replied to the original post, but I'm hoping someone out there has a solution.
Thanks! -
i have the ipad 2 16gb 3g and wifi, i carried out the latest update and was at 64% battery it updated as normal no problems then i went to use it about 15 mins later to c my battery was at 2% and then it powered down!!!!!
i trid charging it and it came up sayin charged and displayed 2% then switch off and kept powering up and cutting out so i carried out the reset though itunes and it put software on to fix battery and powering up problems and now it turns on fine but still will not charge correctly (must also point out im using the correct charger from the wall and i have tried other chargers and cables which have made no difference)
this is really bugging me as my ipad is a great piece of kit and worked brilliantly until i have updated which begs the ?? why are apple releasing updates which inaffect have destroyed my ipad :-(There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it. -
Does anyone know how I can record the screen and myself at the same time?
I have seen videos of people using their isigght camera to record their screen and a video of them is in the shape of a square on top of a corner of the screen.
Does anyone know how I can do that?macnewcomer22 wrote:

I'm not certain I know what you want to do, but consider these ideas:
(1) If you have seen a video of people doing it, the people who made the video surely know how. Ask them if you can.
(2) You may be able to do what you want with this app:
http://b-l-a-c-k-o-p.com/CamCamX.html
(3) The easiest way I was able to record my screen and simultaneous video of me in a window in the top corner of my display was to use two webcams. I used QuickTimeX to make a screen recording while I used my built-in iSight to show me moving in my Photo Booth window on the display.

I use iPhoto and iMovie and I want to safely take the media off my Mac Air (to give me more space) and store it for future use. All of my photos are stored as "Events". Is it possible to store them on an external NAS drive in such a way that they are kept in the same Events folder that they are currently stored so that I can, in the future, reload them onto the Air in the same Events folder? I really do not want to have to create and name folders for thousands of photos!
Your help is appreciated!Easiest solution: move the Library to an external disk:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Note: you cannot use a NAS for an iPhoto Library.
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

I have Mac OSX snow leopard , which I think is OSX10.6.8. I did as I was told and migrated to icloud having advised that not all devices were up to the Lion. I now find that the mobile phone receives the emails and so does the ipad, but not my desktoptop. I have received an email from apple saying I would be able to receive the emails. Why cant I? What do I have to do ? Surely it is not necessary to buy another upgrade???
10.7.2 is required for full iCloud facilities, but you can still use your email. In theory you should be able to access your email in Mail at the same server settings, but this hasn't worked for everyone: you can set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
Once migrated, your mail will also be available at http://icloud.com -
