When I sign up for water service, I don't guess that I might use 1,000 gallons a month, and then pay three times the going rate for water if I take a few extra showers. I get charged for how much water I use that month.

It is stressful to have to constantly monitor usage, and figure out ratios of how much I've used compared to how much time is left in the billing cycle to see if I need to curb my usage. It is not a good customer experience. I would prefer that data be charged a flat rate based on actual usage, perhaps with an option to throttle speeds at certain levels to prevent cases where a minor lapse in judgment could ruin my monthly budget, like forgetting to check data usage religiously on a device meant to simplify my life.

Where I live the water bill states my wife and I are being charged for 30,000 gallons per quarter/half and the price is say $60 however we never use any where near that amount. I send the meter reading in and it shows the amount we use. But the hamlet we are in has a set amount of gallons. Not fair but we live with it.
For your data outside of the unlimited which is not available any more to new customers you may be a light user and never go over the 2GB for $30 dollars a month. If you do you will pay through the nose for data. If you pay for more data say 4GB and I don't have the price for it so lets say its $70 then you don't have to watch as much for overage fees. But you are paying for the data in advance so as not go over and get hit with whopping fees.

I have a valid apple I'd which I use to sign in to the apple community without any problem, but each time I try to sign in to iMessage, it shows me that Username and Password is incorrect please try again. Why is it so?
I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

You have a Puerto Rico address on your account ? From a quick search I've found one site from somebody in Puerto Rico that includes a screenshot for an app receipt showing tax of 7 cents added to a 99 cent purchase. Are you able to view the purchase history on the account that you've been using, and see what prices show on them (e.g. if the store's listed price or price plus tax) : Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes, then 'see all' link next to the Purchase History section.

Why do I have to verify payment information when I am using credit from an i-tunes card?
I am trying to purchase music using my credit from an i-tunes card but it keeps trying to get me to verify payment information. Does this mean that I should have kept i-tunes card?
ThxI have the same issue, but in my case it will not let me change the payment method to None without entering a valid credit card. I used a prepaid card a while ago and I don't have a credit card so how do I change my payment method if it "requires" me to have a valid credit card first?

Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

My macbook pro is failing to read a new sd card with movies recorded on it. Any ideas please? A previously used SD card has downloaded without problems. I have tried using a card reader as well as downloading from the video camera itself, neither works.
I can view the latest recordings on the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it but didn't think of that at the time. I've downloaded the app clash of clans and I want to purchase an item on the game but when I go to purchase it something pops up and says I cannot connect to iTunes Store. Having said that I have a valid credit card entered into my iCloud account.

I have 8 charges on my debit card within a matter of 30 minutes for the same amount. I notified my bank but the bank is asking for itunes to send them a fax. How can i get this?
If possible, I suggest changing to a credit card.
1) There is a max $50 in stolen dollars.
2) It is easy to dispute a charge. You call the credit card company. Complain. They call the retailer & refund you the money.

I have books which I wish to load to a free account on iBookstore. I am unable to do so because the sign-up process keeps demanding details of a credit or debit card. I am neither selling anything nor buying anything, and my Apple ID works fine with NO credit or debit card details (you just specify NONE).
I think Apple had better wake up and wake up quickly, otherwise their 'control freak' attitude is going to lead to authors going to Google - and I will be one of them! In meantime, use an Aggregator or another store. Apple has not had any problem attracting books during the last 3 years and it seems unlikely their policy on this will change to accomodate you. But there is always hope... -
