Just acquired a new ipad and managed through itunes to download a file of photographs onto the ipad. When I then want to put more photo files on the ipad it removed the first file. The drop down message on itunes only allows me browse folders. What am I doing wrong>

That is how it works. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

first, try this:
Choose Authorize Computer from the Store menu. The server will recognize you are reauthorizing and not count your computer a second time.
if that doesn't work, then try this:
Quit iTunes.
In Terminal, go to /Users/Shared/ and rename the "SC Info" folder to something else.
Run iTunes, and do the authorize as mentioned above.

No, you can't update your 2G iPast past iOS 4.2.1. The graphics hardware on the 2G does not support the latest Open GLS.
Yes, there are not that many apps that still works with a 2G with 4.2.1.

I can't import MXF files shot on a Canon C300 into FCP 10.1.2. I have the Canon plug in for MXF file to FCP import but FCPX still doesn't recognize MXF files when I try to import. Premiere works fine importing MXF on the same computer.

I did uninstall and re-install Canon XF Utility and the Canon FCPX plug in. Still no luck. I checked the CanonXF64.RADPlug folder is on my computer in the Rad Plugins folder in application support This is where it is supposed to be as far as I can figure out.
Another piece of the puzzle is that footage shot on a Canon C300 in 2013 and I reimported today and it DOES import into FCP10.1.3. Footage shot on a different Canon C300 filmed this summer will NOT import into FCPX. The latter will import into Premiere. But I am trying to work in FCPX, but maybe I shouldn’t be??
Any ideas? (screen shots below)

FYI Here is what Canon says
"There is another trick that works sometimes though. Try uninstalling the plugin and XF Utility. Then, install the latest XF Utility, followed by the plugin, in that order."
I did do this but no results. Otherwise they say I need to wait for a new plugin.

Here's 2013 Canon C300 files does import into FCPX. I thought it was Contents folder but another set of footage shot on C300 does import and there is no contents folder for that.

I have changed my country from India to Oman. Now when i try to update or download anyu application, the message," Your account is not valid for use in Indian Store. You must switch to the Omani Store before purchaseing" comes.
In Itune account details, the country is shown as Oman and payment details are also OK thru Oman based bank's Visa card.
Now the problem is that I cannot update any of my applications or download any new applications.

Photoshop CC will not import any video files when I try Video Frame to Layers and New Video Layer from File

Specifically I'm trying to import a .MOV I made in Quicktime. The file opens up everywhere else so it's not an issue with the file being corrupted. The error message I get from CC is
"Could not complete command _____________ because the video file could not be opened."
As far as I know I didn't save the .MOV with any permissions, but then again I have very limitted understanding of Quicktime. Originally the file was a .GIF that I converted to an .MOV because I wanted to edit the GIF using the video timeline instead of the animation timeline.

Also, as an aside since I know a lot of Adobe employees are on here, the animation timeline is pretty crummy, there should be a way that you can open a .GIF into the video timeline as a video layer.

Yes. Unfortunately the move has almost certainly caused the loss of the resource data that would have been (invisibly) attached to those files.
By adding a specific .mov extension after the fact you will have helped the Mac correctly identify the file type / asscoiations but also significantly you will have physically changed the filename eg from "clip" to "clip.mov". This means that when you come to reconnect the media in FCP , then FCP will be looking for files that no longer exist at the given path eg when specifically looking for our example clip called "clip" of course it won't find it.
Try this as a test... first remove the ".mov" extension from one or more of the clips, select those clips and press Cmd-Opt-I to open an Info window for the selection. You'll see an "Open with:" popup and in that popup you should choose QuickTime Player (if its a Unix Executable then it will initially list Terminal as the appropriate app, you have to choose Other... then in the open dialog choose Enable > All Applications and then navigate to and select the Quicktime Player app as the appropriate app). After you've done that restart FCP and see if you can now reconnect to those clips.

I get no file when I try to download.

One thing to keep in mind when downloading the installer for iTunes is that you will want to know where the file is being saved to. Once it's downloaded you can go to that location and launch the installer manually. Reboot your iPad and then look again - do the search again and see if you at least confirm that it is on the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you can confirm that the app is on the iPad with the search, but still cannot find it on any of your screens, connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Select your iPad on the left side. Click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right. Look through the list of apps and find it in the list. Double click on the icon in that list and it should show you the folder and screen that the app is on.

HT1926 I can't download itunes, everything else updates fine. But when I try to download itunes, it says 'itunes64.misc (or whatever) pathway isn't found' I can't delete itunes or update it. Help? :(

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

I would recommend using Microsoft's MSI Fix It utility to uninstall both AIR and Long Tail Pro. Once uninstalled, go and install AIR from http://get.adobe.com/air then install Long Tail Pro again.
