HT1595 In a hilton hotel and the honors internet is recognized by my apple tv but it doesn't ask for the password. It says it's connected but it won't bring up iTunes because it's not really connected. help!
I'm in a Hampton Inn trying to connect my apple tv to the wifi. Apple TV recognizes and says it's connected but doesn't ask for the password and is not actually connected because it can't download Itunes. How can I get the Apple TV to ask for a password. I noticed another wifi connection from someone in another room and when I clicked on that the Apple TV asked for the password, but doesn't for the hhonors wifi. Anyone know what to do?
Thanks vazandrew. I had to call the provider, but they have 24/7 service. They had to manually add the device. Thanks for your help.

Well you see, I just got this new Ipod 5G that I really wanted but something went wrong when I tried to sync it with Itunes. It said that the ipod needed 10.7 Itunes but clearly I had not so late version 10.6.3. And I can't update my itunes because it is at the point where it can not update for now so I don't know when it will ever update to 10.7 but right now I am stuck on 10.6.3. And if I can't get it to update how will I be able to sync my music into this new ipod, what should I do?
You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD or use a combination of these instructions and iTunes Match to put content onto the iPod touch.

Why isnt my itouch not connecting to the wifi? everytime I try to connect to a network and i put in the password it says "unable to connect to this network" why isnt working?! the password is correct and everything. I just dont understand why its not working. Someone please help me! thanks

When I upload an app, it asks for my password, then says it's incorrect. When I reset it (after 3 tries) and put in the new one, it still says it is incorrect. What am I doing wrong?
I assume that you meant that you reset the password three times. Did you receive any verification that the new password was accepted?
Sign out of you account, restart the iPad and sign in again. Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap the ID and sign out.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in again. -

I just went through this last night. (Aug 15, 2013)
What I did to get back up and running. This is not the first time I have lost the network connection with my Apple TV 3
Products effected: Apple TV 3 and Home Sharing (My Apple TV 1 was not effected)
Power down (unplug) the Apple TV and power down your router ( in my case, it is a FIOS router, flipping the on/off works fine).
Power both items back up.
At this point, I usually can reenter my Apple ID and PW. and reconnect Home Sharing. But for some reason I was unable to reconnect last night but was able to get it reconnected in the morning. I was jut to tired to deal with it last night.
A new issue that is was able to fix after a good nights sleep.
I did figure out, (after trying to reenter my ID and PW many times and having it tell me that my ID and PW was wrong), that when using the Apple TV on screen keypad to type in the user ID. DO NOT use the ".com" keypad button. Instead type out each character for .com. ( or what ever ending you use for your ID account.)
Once I typed out my full ID and PW. everything is back to 100% -
I have an Iphone 4 and it keeps kicking in the 3G instead of using my wifi. My wifi works well with all other devices and the password is fine. I connect and it show the connection then goes back to 3G. Thank you
This crap just happened to me this morning where I was sent 90% data plan threshold warningfrom AT&T (while sleeping at 7:09am) then 5 minutes later getting the Overage data plan warning from AT&T. This is all while I'm asleep right next to my phone plugged into a (non-Apple) dock on my clock radio.
Android has a limiting feature, why can't the "smart" guys at Apple learn from this?? -
Changed PW in my home network. Now when I try to log on I get "unable to connect" , but it doesn't ask for he new (or any) password, so I'm dead in the water. Any suggestions?
Use the Settings app to select your Wi-Fi network.
Settings > Wi-Fi > Select the Wi-Fi Network that will not work > then select Forget this Network
After to accept this choice your iPad should see your network again and allow you to enter the new password. -

Did you try deleting the app and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad, and contacting the developer of the app ? If you did contact them and you didn't get a reply then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Why is my username asking for a password now since the update?
Since completing the update on my Mac desktop it now asks when I use my username for a password. There are only 2 users on my computer. It doesn't ask for a password when my wife uses her username. It only asks for a password on my username. I do know the password, but I don't want this feature on. How do I disable this feature. I am new to having a MAC computer so help would be great.

I uninstalled my iTunes because it would not update and I have not been able to update my phone. I was told my program was infected and to uninstall and then reinstall it. I am now getting error code 2203 when I try to reinstall it. This is the second time trying to reinstall. The first time it was reinstalled with the same problems I orginally had. I am running Windows 7. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Step 1. Go to your “Applications” folder
Step 2. Go to your “Utilities” folder
Step 3. Launch “Terminal”
Step 4. Type “sudo nano /etc/hosts” (without quotes) and hit return
Step 5. Enter your password
Step 6. Use the down arrow key to find the “gs.apple.com” entries. Once the cursor is in front, make sure you comment out the line(s) by entering “#” (no quotes) in front of the text
Step 7. Save the file by pressing CONTROL+O on the keyboard
Step 8. Exit the nano editor by pressing CONTROL+X on the keyboard
Step 9. Restore your iDevice

Hi, I'm trying to sync my new Ipod to get the new album I got but when I connected it the meesage: The Ipod SYS cannot be used with itunes because it is not formatted properly. appears in itunes. I have restored several times now but it is not working I already downloaded music to it, it is brand new..just 2 weeks old. Somebody can help me? Do I need to return it to the store I bought it from?
The last Restore completed without any error message, or do you get the "ipod SYS" error message?
I'm thinking this is a case of iTunes and Windows confusing the iPod's storage disk with another drive, described here

So, iTunes/Windows thinks another drive is the iPod, and errors out because that drive is not formatted as expected (for an iPod). The solution, in the document linked above, is to change the iPod's assigned drive letter. -

Apple is selling Mac OS X 10.6 on their online store, and 10.7 by phone. The latest version of iTunes requires 10.6.8 or newer.

So when I go to sync my old Apple ID pops up asking for a password but I have already changed the info. So the new password does not work. How do I get the new iPad to recognize the the updated info so I can sign in to my iCloud account?
On your iPad, delete the existing account then sign back in with the new ID and password.
