HT1725 Download interrupted and wont resume

I tried to rent a movie and it didnt download completely, and now wont play. I have tried to resume the download and it wont resume. Is there anyway to delete it completely and restart the download from the begining?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this atwww.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

mountain lion download interrupted and resume button not working

From the App Store menu bar top of your screen, click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
Keep in mind, for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk using Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.
You may need to temporarily disable anti virus software to download apps from the App Store including Mountain Lion.
Make sure your Mac qualifies to run Mountain Lion >  Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • HT1725 Download interrupted by power failure

In the process of downloading a song from iTunes Store, I experienced the power at my home start to flicker, and ultimatelly go out.  When it started flickering, I turned my MAC off so as not to damage. The download did not complete, and is not in my library, although iTunes says it was purchased, and applied the charge.  Any ideas?  iTunes help did not address this kind of issue.  I know it's only .99, but........

Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option find it ? If not then depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries), see if you can redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your Mac's iTunes (if you have the incomplete track listed in your library then you will need to delete that first, otherwise you won't get the cloud symbol in Purchased for redownloading).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Hello,
Welcome to the HP Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience!
I understand the computer is unable to download the printer software. I will do my best to assist you! It seems like the computer is unable to complete the download. First, I would try downloading the software on a different browser (Google Chrome or Firefox are examples). If that doesn't work, download it on another computer and transfer it with a USB stick. I downloaded it myself to verify it wasn't an issue with the driver online.
To ultimately address, I would refresh the operating system, which would return it to Windows 8. Once you do that, you can reinstall 8.1. For more information on how to do this, please look at this Microsoft website: How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC
I believe this information will be of great assistance to you. Please let me know your results. Thank you for choosing the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Mavericks download was interrupted and will not resume

I'm upgrading from 10.6.8 that is current and updated to Mavericks.  I began the download, all was well until about 3/4 the way through and my internet connection was interrupted.  I received a warning window saying that the download was interrupted and I lost my internet connection.  I reconnected to the internet and I cannot seem to get the download going again.  The app icon that was downloading on my icon bar is no longer there, the App store does not give me the option to resume the download, I've followed multiple walkthroughs detailing how to restart an interrupted download to no avail.  The App store 'purchases' tab has OS X Mavericks on it with the option to download and nothing else.  I've clicked the download button to either restart or resume and I get the gray wheel of fortune and when that stops spinning, nothing happens.  The gray download button turns white while the grey wheel of fortune is spinning but shortly afterwards it returns to a dark gray.  I've navigated back to the OS X Mavericks page and the download option says 'downloading' but as far as I can tell, nothing is happening.  I have no icon on the launch bar showing that it is downloading and my network monitor does not show that I'm downloading anything.  Also, going to the 'my account' tab in the App store and looking for 'hidden downloads' is unsuccessful.  When I open the 'my account' tab, I don't even have the option to view any downloads, only account information and my account nickname.
For reference, I'm deployed over seas with a poor internet connection.  This is now day 3 of trying to download OS X Mavericks, so any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem, then I noticed it was downloading even while it was showing paused. After clicking resume, look at your Launchpad icon and see if you have a progress bar below the icon.

  • My OS X Mountain Lion download was interrupted and now I can't get it to download at all.

My OS X 7 Mountain Lion download was interrupted and now I have a Mountain Lion shadow on my doc saying "paused" but I can't seem to restart the download

If the download does not resume, then Quit the App Store app and delete the partial download in your Applications folder. Then you will have to start the download all over again from the "Purchases" section of the App store.

Started to upgrade from Lion got interrupted and now it won't download

    Hello webejamn,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to download and install OS X Mavericks.  It sounds like the download from the Mac App Store for OS X Mavericks was interrupted and didn't complete.
I recommend the following step when an Mac App Store download is interrupted:
If downloading an app is interrupted
Once an Internet connection is reestablished, your purchased downloads should automatically restart. The Mac App Store may alert you that there was an issue with the download and ask if you'd like to restart the download(s). Confirming will restart all pending downloads. For more information on this topic, see Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads.
Note: The download time will vary according to the file's size and your Internet connection speed. Refer to this article about iTunes Store purchases for more information about download times for large files.

  • Film wont resume downloading after iTunes crash

On purchasing a movie from the iTunes store (Green Lantern), I began to watch it as it was downloading, like I have done with every other film, as I have a realitively fast connection. However, during the movie, iTunes crashed to the desktop. When loading iTunes back up, the movie did not start loading again, like you would expect if you had to close and restart iTunes yourself. The movie also did not appear in the films tab.
Going back into the store, iTunes recognises I have bought the movie already, yet wont resume the download or show what has been already downloaded. Is there a way to get this film back without purchasing it again, or, if not, a way to get the cost refunded?

Nope, that doesn't work. iTunes says: "All purchases have been downloaded for this account."
