HT1766 I tried to upload the data on my iPhone to a new Windows 8 laptop using iTunes but it only copied the music and wiped my contacts and calendar.

Any help gratefully received. Would it have saved the data on the hard drive on my PC? I can see a file called data.syncdb on the C drive but have no idea what's in it or how to use it.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone won't update and is stuck. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

i bought an ipod touch at a pawn shop and it has account and registered to another person on it and i don't know the password. and i started my own itunes account on the computer and when i connect the ipod to the computer the other persons account shows up to be synced to the computer and when i hit the sync button it says that the ipod can only be synced to one library at a time. then it says that it would erase his library contents and all other apps in order for it to be synced to my account. so i was wondering if there is anyway to sync all the music and other apps to my account with out it erasing everything on the ipod.

Do what iTunes is telling you to do. Wehn you purchased the iPod the apps and other media do not transfer to you. Then are permently locked/lienced only to the person who purchased them. Using the stuff on the iPod is stealing.

My ipod Classic hangs and freezes on the apple screen. It will not do anything. I tried to restore using iTunes, but came out 1415 error code, and cannot do anything about it.

I backed up all of my data on my laptop and uploaded songs as well, I then plugged my wifes' phone to upload the music to her device, my laptop then erased all her data (photos, videos etc) and replaced it with mine, is there a way I can restore it all?

You can only sync to one computer at a time. Changing the computer will erase all data on the device and replace it with the content of the new iTunes library. Only if you can restore from the latest backup of your wife's phone, you can get the data back.

I am working on the UWL customization. I have a situation like i have to remove the links that appear in the ViewDetail of any UWL request. When we open any of the request and VIew the details of it we see the links in the right such as:

Now the requirement is to remove the underlined actions. I read from some forum that i have to comment the actions those were defined in the uwl.standard.xml
I have commented the actions in the uwl.standard.xml and now when i'm trying to upload the file i get the error message saying:
Wed Sep 10 14:22:10 CDT 2008 : Operation not allowed on standard configuration:uwl.standard
How do i upload this modified file? Please suggest me.

Instead of modifying the UWL configuration file, this is possible by changing some property in the UWL iView itself.
Open the UWL iView --> Goto property called List of UWL Actions to Be Excluded --> Enter followUp,launchSAPDetails,manageAttachments,uwlTaskWizard,viewHistory and save your changes.
Regarding your error, what you can do is while upload "use Upload with High priority". If that does not work then backup the standard configuration, delete the changes, clear the UWL cache and then upload your new custom configuration as uwl.standard.

Have you confirmed that you successfull purged iTunes Match by also looking on an iOS device? If so, keep in mind that Apple's servers may be experiencing a heavy load right now. They just added about 19 countries to the service and I've read a few accounts this morning that suggests all's not running perfectly right now.
