My new HP ENVY 23 TOUCHSMART PC has been authorized for itunes, but I can't play any of my purchased itunes songs. When I try to play a purchased song in my itunes library, I get an error message prompt stating that the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. When I check for available downloads it states that all downloads have been made. Ironically, all my movie purchases play fine, but the songs do not play. What do I have to do to play my purchased songs?

The 'unable to locate' message means that you don't have those music files on that computer, or that they are not where iTunes is expecting them to be. How did you get the entries for those tracks in your new computer's iTunes ?

You may also be able to re-download them from the store (checking for available downloads only checks for items that have not yet been downloaded, not for past purchases) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (re-downloading music isn't possible in all countries). You may need to delete them form your library first (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message), otherwise iTunes will assume that you still have them somewhere and won't let you re-download them.

First you write "WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A FILE..." - what kind of file? From where - from your local disk, or a website?
Then you write "How do I open and read my message?" - what kind of message?
Also tell us your operating system, browser, email client, Reader version, ... anything that is related to your problem.

My HP C3180 printer has lost its printer connection. The download on the Apple support site downloads - but at the very end, I get an error message that my device cannot be found. Can anyone help?

This happened all of a sudden. Was it in response to a O/S 10 update? The download from the Apple icon does not show a software update is needed; so a new driver is not there. The download at the Apple Support site for HP printers downloads and seems to install until the end, when it says my device an HP C3180 cannot be found. Can anyone help?

I have charter email. I was able to send attachments, but now can send no attachements - I keep getting an error message that the file cannot be read - help!

I stared using charter for email January of this year. At that time I was able to attach word documents, but not jpg files. In the last 2 months now I can't attach word documents, either. i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?

That is an important one. How far did you get into following the instructions given in the document? If you could not complete the test, what was the major block that prevented you from doing so?
I want to make sure that we have gone through everything in that document and ruled all factors there in or out. If it was a matter of you not understanding the instructions, I am hoping that the above will channel you questions to me so that I can clarify anything that you did not understand in the Adobe document instructions.
I do not recall if I asked previously. Even if you cannot open all your saved/closed projects, can you still open a new project and save/close it? Maybe even reopen it?

You can't import MPEG-2 files directly to FCP X.
Can you play this file in Quicktime Player? If so, then you can use the free program MPEG Streamclip to convert this to Quicktime. Use the ProRes codec.

Purchased books from iTune store and downloaded it. Now, when I try to send it to my iPod nano, I get an error message saying the title cannot be found. I cannot find a screen that offers an option to re-download. What gives?

I purchased a box set of books on iTunes, and downloaded them. The title shows up in the "purchased" section, but when I try to send it to my iPod nano, I get an error message telling me it cannot be moved because it cannot be found. I can't find a screen anywhere offering the option to re-download either. I've paid for the books, but cannot access them! Every time I upgrade iTunes, it gets more confusing and harder to use.

Also I now can`t access any of my itunes library and am concerned that if I remove it from my computer I will lose everything as I have no option of accessing and therefore backing anything up. Any ideas?

My HP laptop with windows just crashed, and I'm trying to get everything back to working order. I reloaded itunes and it seemed to be working fine. Then at some point, I went to open it and received the messsage:
The itunes library .itl file cannot be found or created. The default location for this file is in the "itunes" folder in the "Music" folder.
I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes several times, to no avail. The program won't open and I continue to get the same error message.

Check the permissions in that folder and make sure you have full read/WRITE privileges.
